    I know how hard its been for you to make the decision to leave a job that despite not always being enjoyable it's become a part of who you are and I know you've made at least 1 decent friend during your time there. But I am so proud of you for taking the plunge to try something new. Wishing you the best of luck lover,your girls are so proud of you and love you to bits xxxx

      Well said...many will only learn too late. They know little of their family and children's lives. Time for drivers to force the home each day for 5pm work days as relay loads is the answer. Also, £50.00 /hr basic is whats needed.

    All you truck drivers deserve a medal 🏅 I can get confused in my car in places I’m not familiar with and having the sat nav spouting out directions that my brain can’t keep up with.

    Family is the reason i now do 4on4off on nights. I actually see the Family loads more i get to pick my kids up from school have dinner at the dinner table and we ride home on our bikes. This is our choice as we do have a car. But its all about time spent together. I used to love hiab work differently challenge every day. Hope all goes well for you and the family 👪

    I drive my 32t lorry and if I lift my rear suspension I have a 4.3m rear overhang but at the end of the day, I can reverse much easier in countryside lanes than if I would in an artic.
    When you got it, you got it, lol

    Most truck driving jobs are crap hours, what other line of work will you find that does silly hours, not many. I agree with your outlook,especially if you have children it can be a right pull. I think if you can watch your children grow up there's nothing will come near that.When I was younger I was lucky to see my daughter grow up, having a reasonable employer. Best of luck in your new job, I like watching your vlog, your a decent hard working bloke. Let everyone know how you get on with it.

      Was brought up by a very hard working truck driver myself so I know what it’s like for the children to not see much of dad, it’s just finding that balance of earning a living and making memories at home too. The next video I will reveal where I’ve moved onto and why I’ve made the change. Thanks for the positive comment, really appreciate it 👍🚛💨💨

    I hated rigid lorries with the rear axle lifted as it puts the turning point further forward making the tail stick out further on turns; as you said, you need to watch out for rear swinging out, even more so than a the lorry with a single rear axle...

      I've enjoyed watching this channel for months but always wonder why they are using a Hiab for lifting shipping containers. Sideloader trailers are specifically designed for lifting shipping containers and are the correct peice of equipment for this task as well as being designed to lift around 35 tonnes which covers the heaviest of shipping containers. Plenty of videos on CZcams showing them in action, including being able to lift 2 x 20 foot shipping containers at the same time.

    • @TruckerWillHiab
      @TruckerWillHiab  Před 2 lety

      A side loader can’t double stack, also would be able to put them in half the places we put them

    • @xj358
      @xj358 Před 2 lety

      @@TruckerWillHiabI've used sideloaders for years and they all double stack, extend as well as lifting 2 x 20ft containers end to end at the same time.

      I work in the construction industry and 9 out of 10 I am in my hiab. As Will said, it is what you are willing to put up with. Just remember hiab is not a toy.
