- Let's take a look at 5 MTB-related things that I actually like. It's a mash-up of shop things, bike tools and clothing. Short and sweet.
Sometimes you just need the right item that makes DIY MTB wrenching things a little easier - yeah we have some of that. Sometimes you need a little bling for your ride - got some of that too. Finally, you might need something to help keep you warm when you're hitting the trails in cold weather.

0:20 I thought I was the only person to have that kind of accident 😅. Doesn’t look too bad though. Glad you included it!
Slow speed tree hits are my specialty
@@VisionMTB My specialty is ground features like roots. czcams.com/video/T3Xhlh-xTyg/video.htmlsi=dUB0xf7CLiamyyBh
5:59 Phone sits nicely, nicely sized pocket. With lace thing to tie it, they will fit anyone without a belt so no belt buckles needed. Knee area fits well I see. Fit looks reasonable. But you did not mention the size you wore.
But con I see is no side zipper vents.
i really liked my wolftooth encase system toolkit that stashes into the handlebars , i really like it .
Those are nice. They really do make quality products.
5:02 It's 28 degrees out, so it's pretty cold'' How to sound insane in Norway.😆 It's Celsius here. so that's actually very warm, would be soaked.
28F bro. I'm sure you get a lot colder in Norway. What's your lower limit for riding?
Not sure. So far I've not found my limit. it's mostly clothing you have and weather, conditions that determine if I can ride. The coldest I rode in was -11C maybe. I've ridden in -10C many times. There was -18 to -23 a few weeks ago, but I felt too bad to ride, so did not get to test that. But for that you need winter shoes/boots layer up with several gloves, keep lots of room for air, so say good bye to tactile feel. If I keep the intensity up I can do fine with thin Brynje Marino liner, thick Defeet Marino liner, nitrile gloves and two sizes too big riding gloves. If low pace, or resting hands get uncomfortably cold, it hurts. But usually sprinting a minute heats me up. I don't have a perfect setup for extreme temps, but I have a pair of Swix skiing gloves, but included liner gets out every time I get my hands out, but room for thick Marino wool gloves, so maybe these would be warm enough I don't know. But as I mentioned horrible tactile feel, but also grip is not good. @@VisionMTB
In the summer I rode in up to 30C that was years ago, but last time I rode in midsummer heat but was 28C. @@VisionMTB
I know. It just would be funny when someone said it in mid summer. 😝@@VisionMTB
snowboard helmet works great for winter rides too....don't need to harm a sleeve
That shirt was asking for it! I did pick up a proper helmet liner with glasses cutouts that's much better.
Gold 🥒 cranks! Still holding up well?
The Goldix are still solid as a rock! I've got an elliptical chainring I'm going to put on them next.
Aftermarket pod? It's the T-type stock shifter...
Didn't know that. My GX AXS came with the rocker. Thanks!
Hmm, 🤔 what kind of chin do you use? I'm going to experiment. If the next bike I buy, I need two master links I'm not going like that.
Hmm, it's a KMC I think. Video footage was for demonstration purposes only... It's a handy tool though.
@@VisionMTB i think I've joined a 10 Speed speed chain together with out a link, but never a 12, been using 9 speed chain mostly. Just want to see if it can be done.
@@bassw1758 I've done a 12 once when the quick link was lost. Lasted for the rest of the ride but I replaced the chain afterwards.
Emery cloth works better than a file or that green thing.
Seconds and you’re
That's a good tip
3:55 its probably for legal reasons
You're right but wouldn't it be nice to have one page with pairing instructions maybe?
