I cant believe this is an expensive kit you can buy!! I totally thought this was just another of Katelyns amazing but very cursed ideas 😂😅
Hello, french here (ya the lovely country where we produce camembert and finest of the finest charcuterie) : this kit is SUPER MEGA EXPENSIVE. Realistically, you can build all that stuff on DIY for less than 30 euros (cheese/sausage/bread/cheese cream)...
But it is DAMN good.
Tbh in France we don't build that kind of stuff on holidays, we already eat daily bread/sausage/cheese etc :P
omg me to 🤣!
Lol, in The Netherlands we also don t build any form of gingerbread houses
Johnny Cakes was right…Keith’s idea changed the world 😂
This is an underrated comment right here. Keith is insane in the best ways lol
There better be raisins in that trail mix. 😂
Family abroad had done this before 1998, so nope Keith wasn t the first...😎
Tip for filling piping bags more easily: grab a drinking cup, put the bag inside it tip down, and pull the top of the bag open and over the edge of cup. It will hold it open for you so you can use both hands to fill.
thanks for the tip!
@@EvanandKatelynUncut hi
This is also a good way to present yourself to your betrothed.
So I first saw a charcuterie board gingerbread house thingie on The Try Guys Without a Recipe and I did wonder if it would catch on and become a thing. And here it is, a commercial kit for just such a thing. Keith is an absolute genius @keithhabs.
Thank you! Came here to say this!!
we gotta go watch that one now!
I tasted one in 1998, lol. And yes they can taste spook nice
Keith definitely brought it to the world, but the year before Sohla and Ham made a savory gingerbread house on NY Times yt channel that was quite impressive as well!
Keith did not invent the savory gingerbread house
23:30 Honestly I'd watch a stream /video of you guy's just chilling and focusing on the project, just checking in every so often and such.
I like the "raw" process of just seeing how people do projects without worry of interacting; especially like it bc then I can do my own stuff and just check in with how y'all are doing every so often too
Crusty the Cheeseman
Was a smoky-tasting soul
With some raisin eyes and a small seed nose
And salami para-sol,
Crusty the Cheeseman
An unlikely sort, they say
He was made of cheese that was carved or squeezed
On a cardboard base that day.
This is brilliant lol
This is actually something that I now want to do for next Christmas but on a budget 😂 Also Joob went Feral for some charcuterie 🤣
Haha yeees, shop for all the components yourself, it can be done much cheaper! Will you use cheese spread of peanut butter?
@@EvanandKatelynUncut Well the peanut butter would be a nice surprise just in case anyone decides to try it 😂
@@EvanandKatelynUncut Agree, it can be done WAY much cheaper. French guy here, appreciated all the hard work as well as seeing some camembert featured here.
I’m sitting here eating charcuterie board fixings from a paper plate at my mom’s house, watching this, wishing I would’ve seen this before and built a house out of this food before I ate it. 😅
I don't ever buy piping bags, I just use ziplock's. I'll shape it into a pipe bag using a cup to hold it in place and roll down the top to fill easier.
I feel like you could do the exact same thing with better ingredients by getting stuff a la cart at someplace like Aldi. It would probably be cheaper too. This was a cool idea though.
this just really makes me want to see you guys build lego together on stream!
Finally a gingerbread house I would actually eat.
Ferrero Rocher, nutella's creator, used to have on the FAQs that it's pronounced "new-tell-uh." They've confirmed it in a few articles as well, but they've also said they don't care if people pronounce it incorrectly.
Yes! that's is how it's said in Italy, nut-ella is how the British call it.
I grew up in Germany. We eat that stuff or whole childhood and then some. It's def New/ noo tell ah.
I remember the TV commercials too
Katelyn: "It's a house made of crackers"
Me: "so it's a crack house?"
ba dum ssss
A piping bag tip for next time:
There's tons of tricks out there for how to fill a bag neatly. Some people use plastic wrap, which is great if you need a lot of piping bags filled. But for small projects, putting the piping bag in a cup and folding the top edge down around the cup will let you access the bottom of the bag cleanly to fill it, rather than trying to squish material down and making a mess of it. The cup holds the bag open and keeps those top edges away from the filling process. It's faster and way less messy.
At first it sounds weird but once you think about it then it turns out to be a much better idea than a whole house of sugar.
haha I agree, though the main downside is you can't just leave it sitting out on the counter for days :P
Watching this I’m thinking about how you guys had snow in Texas last year (that was last year right?) and about how much my life has changed. I mean, it hasn’t changed that much but enough to make me think about how life is different and weird now. Thanks for always being there to help me understand that it will all work out in the end because some things don’t change.
Merry Christmas! I hope you both have a wonderful holiday!! ❤
We used humbolt fog in the charcuterie platters at the fancy lodge I used to work for and the kitchen staff got to eat the leftovers... 🤤
OMG This sounded so delicious I immediately clicked 😋
We do a taste test at the end! Spoiler alert: it's good :D
It makes sense it is new-tella because it is an italian brand. In the Netherlands I have never heard nut-tella.
Joobie made me smile so much. She is so cute.
You should have used one of the leftover cursed IKEA hands to hold Joob's cracker! 😂😂
The "triangle crisp bread" is also a Swedish thing (knäckebröd) which is traditionally part of the buffet we have on Christmas Eve (we celebrate on the 24th), so it does sort of fit the Christmas theme I suppose. XD
The houses really turned out so much nicer than expected! Still prefer a gingerbread one though as I'm not too big on most charkuteries. Although, I could consider a more "fresh" version with fruits, cheeses and cold cuts with different crackers, but that would definitely need to be eaten immediately! lol
Btw the PB/salami combo made me think of gingerbread cookies (made with cinnamon, cloves, ginger and bitter orange rinds) paired with blue cheese being a big thing here. I can't really stand blue cheese, but I can recommend trying gingerbread with butter and gouda (or a similar mild hard cheese) as well. Pretty tasty!
Love these uncut videos, I always watch them bit by bit over a couple of days much like slowly consuming a gingerbread house :^)
Also as an aside, a quick google search tells me that "Charcuterie Chalets" have been a thing (name and all!) since at least 2020 from various different recipe blogs and yt creators. I hope the comments chill with acting like this idea is sooo original that it must be stolen just because you personally didn't encounter it before the content creator you like showed it to you. Be serious y'all😅
I pipe deviled egg filling using Ziploc bags all the time. It's cheep, easy, and you can even put dual piping tips on a single bag if you practice a lot!
"Do you think any of these are like actual brands?" Me, currently eating Wasa crispbread: "Yes"
Yep, I love the Wasa thin Rosemary and Walt variant
Salt
Supervisor approves this project before it’s even finished lol 😅 joobs like this is the most tasty/interesting project yet let me “over see” every step lol
Wow, Keith from the Try Guys started a new christmas tradition. That was a great episode, he totally should have won. The way he lost was hilarious though.
They even stole the Charcuterie Chalet name.
I WAS THINKING THATTTTT
I was waiting for Evan and Katelyn to say this episode was inspired by Keith…I was so sad when I realized it was just a company making money off of his idea, and way less creative than Keith’s mini golf course 😔
Ham and Sohla started it two years ago
Totally saw that coming, jube jumping on the table 😆
Joob the supervisor of chaos.
Another good option to explore in the future is the same budget but you get the ingredients yourselves and an original (cursed?) design lol
I would say I would make the base and the house out of the hard nasty and not really tasty stuff and then I would add fresh and tasty extra ingredients for the decor that people could actually eat. Like make plants and stuff out of olives and greens and even some sweet potato chips would add color. I have so many ideas now.
Thank you for my Friday night entertainment 💕
you guys have been doing thing together for years im glad you still have fun still doing it
I wonder if this product existed before @keithhabs REVOLUTIONIZED the gingerbead house on WAR. His genius has not been appreciated and I'm here for Evil Keith this season. Anyway, fun idea, fun product, fun video. And anyone who says "nut-ella" is an alien. Humans say noo-tella.
In answer to "if this was at a party, would you eat it" ... I wouldn't simply because every single part has been touched by someone's hands ... and we all know where those hands have been at some point or another.
Also - project idea: tiny hand on a stand for holding Supurrvisor's crackers.
Agree, but maybe make Tiny versions pre spider dit pavkages for the kids table ,to keep kids Bush after that make picture and Let Them dat Them during the time Heteren diner and bed time?
You can use a plastic paint scraper/plaster spatula to scoot the peanut butter into a corner of the bag
Thanks for doing an uncut video of this ❤❤❤
Weighing in on the nutella debate - in Scotland we all say 'nut-ella' not 'noo-tella'
In Australia, people say 'nut-ella' as well.
It's definitely nu-tella in the US. But my grandmother also said it that way and she was from Belgium so idk 🤷♀️
Its definitely nuh-tella. It's like saying "nut" and adding "ella" on the end, because its a nut butter product. You don't call nuts "newts"!
Italian here. Nutella is an italian product and the name is pronounced like E&K said: "Nootella"
Obviously they have an american accent, if you hear an italian say that it's different, but the basic pronunciation is that one.
Next year 'Nacho Casa' house purely made of mexican food items. Tortillas, tortilla chips, salsa, frijoles and cheese.
Haven't even watched the video yet and I love this idea!
wow I just came across you guys! offocaly bin watching all !
Wasa is a staple brand here in Poland, it’s used like Kleenex as in when you want to say this cracker type of bread you usually just say Wasa bread. I didn’t realize it was Swedish though.
In The Netherlands, Belgium and Germany as wel
Always fold the piping bag down half way or so. Then you wouldn't loose so much mushing it down.
I'm going through a breakup, and i was crying a lot, until i found this video ♥
peppered salami and espresso cheese are my favorite!
you guys should make a mold of a hand holding a chip or cracker so when you want to give the kitty anything you don't have to hold it 😬
yall are the first americans ive heard say nutella the right way😭❤
Omg! I got the joob mug and hoodie with the holidays are hard sticker from my brothers for x-mas! i love them so much
You guys have the best camera angles!!! Love it!!!!
i want to see you folks work your way thru RoyaltySoaps CP soap making playlist or Brambleberry's soap kits
Happy holidays everyone!
58:50 not Joob ignoring the tasty meats and immediately bulldozing a path to get to the bland tasteless crackers instead 😂
I love that you guys seem to make a new thumbnail for most (if not all) of your videos. I remember Safiya mentioned that they take a few sets of shots and reuse them a while back on one of her and Tyler's streams haha
Nutella - nu'tella- Palm oil and sugar with brown coloring and a drop of hazelnut essential oil
I think you should make a resin ginger bread house
They did. A few years ago
Hey guys yeah for us in the UK it's Nut-ella. I believe that the manufacturer has intentionally given the name a different pronunciation for different countries/markets.
Great video again guys. Hope u had a great Christmas and have a happy new year. 👍❤️🎄🇬🇧✌️
the tree is great. it really works with the scale :)
Cans of Easy Cheese I think would work better as cement. Does not require refrigeration and has built in piping function.
Everybody in Georgia be like " it's pronounced 'New-tell-er', y'all"... 🤣
To help with putting the cheese (or anything) in a piping bag, put the bag in a wine glass and pull it over the edges. That way you can put it towards the tip of the bag and not waste so much cheese on the sides.
Lol well Elvis said PB& Bacon was good! 🥜 🥓
That crisp bread is swedish, like me! Also, Katelyn's beaaauuuutiful!
Loved it!
not me literally willingly choosing to watch this while fasting-
Joobs is like.....hu mans are making me the strangest break fast. Cats break up the words on purr pose.
The triangle house looks like a cottage and the outhouse is like a outside toilet 🚽
Hold up I was putting this video off because I’m an anxious person when watching food crafting but this is an actual product on the market 😮
In a pre-covid world, yes id eat it at a party, but post-covid, I'd just eat it myself. XD Evan and Katelyn are great communicators. also, JOOOOOOOOB is soooo cute!
crisp bread is just the english translation of knekkebrød :D
I'd probably try this at one point and imma name my gingerbread man after the trend starter : Keith lol
Trend had been starter in 1998, I loved IT then already. These not every country tried this version till now?
@@abbyrivers9971 I learned of if about a year ago when one of the try guys did a full appetizers gingerbread house, I never heard of it in my European country (ahem-France). Are you German ? C'ause my brain screams German thing with beer if this was already a thing somewhere... ?
I had a stomach bug when this video released and I was SO excited for an Evan and Katelyn video and then so repulsed at the thumbnail that its taken me two days to watch it 😂
You're ahead of the game for next year's Christmas cards. Use a still of Crusty and the house.
Matching houses for the matching salami outfit🥩
I absolutly hate cheese, but I like the idea of a house made out of flesh. I'll find a remplacement for the cheese like a bitter dark chocolate and sea salt mousse.. :P
Never listen to Brits on how to pronounce foreign words. Italians pronounce it "noo-tella", so that's how it's pronounced.
Congratulations on spending all that time effort and money to make that cursed object! I love it!
that is cool
Jubb wants house nom nom nom
its Nuh Tella. because its nut paste.
for a less cursed non holiday version I'll be making a small cracker village to offer at game night where everyone gets a small house that fits food restrictions. Might make desert ones with graham crackers also.
Part of me is "why do you do this?"
But also, a much larger part of me is totally here for just this sort of content and expects nothing less.
I'd take pictures. Depending on how long ago the house was built, then I'd consider eating it. but only if it were an hour old or so at most.
Hey Kevin's hope y'all are well!
Have you ever tried maple bacon? It is delicious! Instead of brown sugar use maple syrup, but the real stuff.
Tonight is the night where I said, "Hey, it's a good night to watch a video about building a charcuterie "gingerbread" house." Now I want to make one big enough for my cat.
Those brands are sold at my local organic grocery store in the pnw 😂
Probably why it was so expensive lolol
Katelyn as soon as you said come around town, I started saying bring is arouunnnd town! Hahah amazing
Evan: It's soo...Cheeesy!!
Me: Maybe because it's Cheese?
I swear these guys keep on getting funnier every video! Keep up the good work guys!
😂😂
1:03:09 "I'm about to lay a whole bunch of salami down." - Evan 🤣🤣🤣
Nah, @ThatVeganTeacher cryin' rn 🤣🤣🤣
In Australia, we say nut-tella similar to your new-tella just different starting syllables
Currently drinking hot cocoa while watching this
"Peanut butter joints baby!" "Way tastier than cheese joints." -Evan 2023
I lived in the UK for 9 years. It is definitely called "NU" as in New "TELLA" as in FELLA
Does anyone have the time stamp from when they talked about what they would put on their ideal charcuterie boards? I watched this live but I was trying to show that part to my mom but I can’t find it again.
1:09:08
Wasa is a very popular crisp bread company in Sweden :)
Potential backgrounds Bob Ross paintings
My brother eats peanut butter, butter, honey, and Doritos sandwiches. He says that it is delicious.
