Does anyone else want to mention Katelyn's magical earrings? Like, potato chips are all the rage right now 😆 but seriously, I love them
The helmet with clear face plate will help for anyone who's hearing impaired other than reading the closed caption they can read your lips as you speak especially since sometimes closed caption will put in words that you didn't even speak
Yeah that is acutally true, I am deaf myself and I hate the covid because masks make everything much harder without reading lips
I am full hearing but I have found out I rely heavily on lip reading.
personally i've just got audio processing trouble, so captions help immensely! i quite literally can't watch things that don't have captions anymore fvfbdb

@@yalefrink2295 I didn’t realize how bad my hearing was until everyone was wearing masks due to Covid. That’s why I got my hearing tested and found out I have a significant hearing loss in both ears.
Just saying, if you’re looking for a project to use all the odd little extra resin pieces you have. Doing a larger resin mosaic table top for an outdoor table would be so cool!
Resin mosaic would be so dang cool, or a little decorated resin Christmas tree....so many fun ways to use up bits & bobs.
You really shouldn’t put resin furniture outside because the UVs from the sun softens the resin and can uncure it. But yes, making that table would be dope as a bedside table

@@teddy_bear6122 that’s a great idea but you would need tons of uv resin which would be SUPER expensive like probably over 1000$ of it so They will probably need to stick with something epoxy resin

Also you could drill holes in the resin jewels, add a string and you have Christmas tree ornaments!
Another thing I noticed is you checking gloves before using the mouse, reminded me my dentist had these square semi sticky sheets she put over the mouse so you can use it without worrying about getting anything on it.
I've watched videos of people coming inches from death and didn't react as strongly as I just did watching Katelyn spill a ton of glitter.
You guys mentioned that you have a bunch of extra resin jewels that come from extra resin. It would be really cool if you collected a bunch of those little jewel things and made something out of it. Like put it as a cool table top tile design or idk something. I think that would be cute. But y'all do so much good content anyway :)

From someone who uses syringes all the time in a lab: if the liquid you are trying to pull up is super viscous and goes super slow through the needle, take the needle off and pull up the liquid, then put it back on. Just make sure you do the thing where you flip the needle and flick it and get the bubbles out
@4:30 I'd also like to say that I appreciate the masks because sometimes when my tinnitus gets bad, it's helpful to read lips! The closed captions are great as well, but if I can focus on lips and not be distracted by captions and see what you're doing, it boosts the overall engagement and enjoyment of your videos. It's just a +1 to accessibility!
the first one is supposed to be at an angle!! if incense burns vertically it burns really fast and the ash collects on itself and it can even be put out by the ash - so it’s made at an angle for this
It depends on the incense. For example, most Japanese incense is meant to burn upright.

No, they do not burn faster, but slower. Without an angle the actually burning Ø is smaller since the heat travels upwards parallel to the ground. I always put them up straight and the ashes just fall of the side around the stick; they don't go out because of this. Neither do incense cones which also stand upwards and even get wider and build up ashes. Well made incenses don't go out because of ashes.

To whoever needs: if you spill glitter, use tape/ lint roller/ slime/ dough to pick it. Also works for glass dust when glass breaks.

We wear those clear face shield masks in the Hospital. They call them PAPRS (powered air purifying respirators).
We wear them when we go into Covid patients rooms.
Around here, hospitals were licky to get face shields and masks. That's pretty cool.

Would you ever consider doing resin Legos? You could create crazy galaxy colors, etc, and plan out a simple Lego built for your blocks. I don’t know if you would run into any major issues with copyright or with how they’d work together but I’ve seen King of Random do gummy legos, I feel like resin isn’t that far off
So fun seeing unedited stuff! Seeing everything in real time gives a great idea of the time commitment necessary for these types of projects.

If you blow on the surface of the resin like you're trying to fog up a window, it helps pop bubbles without moving anything. You'd be able to do it quickly without being without a mask for long.

Those all turned out great! The moon's were probably my favorite. Katelyn pranking herself with the glitter was hilarious too. 😂 BTW, a tip for cold casting small details like that is to have a baby wipe on hand to clean up the excess. Works like a charm.
I absolutely loveee how the way the glow powder dispersal gives the moons depth, like the craters and things our actual moon has!

the circular incense holder reminds me of the color scheme of my favorite album Melodrama, the colors fill the empty hear caused by heartbreak but the colors are beautiful

I’m case no one has said it, you could have just left the dust residue, cured the moon resin, then blown the excess pigment off with air after the moons were hardened.

For surface bubbles, get a long neck lighter to blast them with a more centralized heat to pop the bubbles
Should start pouring extra resin into lego moulds. Then do a reveal at the end of the year of all the legos you made

For surface protection I use a plastic tablecloth, actually resin and acrylic can be scraped/peeled off of it. You can even cut up a cheap one for smaller surfaces. Hope that helps reduce some waste and money spent on foil :D

ok but those space mask things I can only assume are also about 100x more comfortable to use, especially over long periods of time. I spent a year doing composites manufacturing as a day job, and when we were actually dealing with resin we were required to wear full face respirators and chemical protective suits, and it gets genuinely unpleasant after a while, especially on a hot day.
Ooh, and the double gloving too! That's totally a thing to do if you have any reason why you might want to have clean hands for anything during the process.
I noticed there was even more extra resin near the end in the big cup! i wish i made the stream this was funn!!
