This week we’re gonna be combining all of the instant mac & cheeses, as well as every cheese we could find, into two separate concoctions, but with a little twist! I really think that there should be some kind of compilation of Saf's tasting faces, not just on this video, but including a variety of tasting footage!!

What a dream!
When I was in high school, my art teacher would have different types of potlucks every couple months, and one thing she would do was mac and cheese. So, every student would bring in a box or two of mac and cheese, and some students would be assigned to bring in the butter, milk, plates / cutlery, and even some buns! Because every student was bringing in boxes of mac that they already had at home, it wound up being a giant franken pot with all different types in it (she used the full boxes and full cheese packets in an ungodly huge metal pot). In the end though it always turned out delicious, plus it was tons of fun!

@@givipixie lol, and there’s the whole condensed vs. non-condensed issue to deal with. It’s all very horrible but I’m sure it would generate a lot of patented “Safiya has feels about this flavor and is trying to decide which one to land on” expressions.

21:14 Omg gelsons is like a swear word in my area. They literally took over a vons near me, but they didn’t change any of the aisles or food, yet charged at least a 15% mark up! Our community came together and had them shut down due to everyone refusing to shop there.
Also, that gelsons fired a bunch of long term employees (mostly people with disabilities). So yah, they don’t care about employees.

Genuinely, Ty, you did a great job with the sauces! You have good instincts - wanting the whisk for the instant cheese sauce and turning the pan to get everything off the sides 🥣♥

I let out an extremely loud, audible laugh @1:01:05 because I felt like I was just as excited and relieved as Tyler to learn he was holding a strainer. I was on the edge of my seat.
Does anyone remember when Annie’s had unique flavors? I think they got bought out by kraft and now it’s just different cheddars and parms. My absolute jam was the first to go, radiatore with sundried tomato and basil. I lived with rotini three cheese, penne alfredo, and fettuccine broccoli white cheddar for several more years before they yoinked those all at once. Makes me so sad to think about it lol. I’m going to recreate them someday. Would make a good series if I were a CZcamsr 😂 To add insult to injury, all the current Annie’s flavors have such tiny noodles. Like why? Kids these days don’t know how large our mac and cheese noodles used to be lol

I hate the Annie's small noodles too. I remember big kraft macaroni smiles, but I refuse as an adult. 😃

During the summer I tried the Kraft Mac & Cheese as my birthday gift of American snacks and foods. I expected it to be really good because I’ve had an oven mac and cheese (that’s made with real cheese) and really liked it and all Americans rave about Kraft. I hated it more than any food I’ve eaten in years and it was the first time I had to throw something out in a while because I couldn’t keep eating. I expected some cooking to be needed for the powder but all that the packaging said was to mix it with an ungodly amount of butter and milk. It tasted nothing like actual cheese, it was just a mushy mess. I guess it’s really an acquired taste that you need to be brought up with. Not hating on anyone who likes it, it was just such a jarring experience that I didn’t expect at all.

Nostalgia is a potent flavor. It’s gross but it’s what we grew up with.
So you are supposed to have the cheese cook when you mix all the ingredients together you let them cook until it all thickens (: But I agree by no means is it great. It is a popular food amongst children tho (:

blue cheese mellows a lot when its incorporated into something I love blue cheese sauces for dipping spicy wings, but am not a fan of blue cheese on its own or even most cheeses in general, it gives just a tiny bit of funk to whatever its flavouring

If chat thought Saf was wearing too much blush they would HATE my day to day makeup. I literally do the egirl, look like I feel asleep in the sun blush. I could barely even see Safs lol. People are wild.

Thank you for adding the banza brand!! This is an incredible brand with wonderful ingredients. I cannot have gluten so it’s an excellent gf option. There is also no rice, twice the protein as regular past, and a little over half the carbs. It’s addicting!! Whatever your dietary needs are, please give this a shot. They also have an entire pasta line and a frozen pizza line!!!

I think Tyler is better in the kitchen then he gives himself credit for. I've watched several of the cooking streams and he catches on so quick. Also sassy Tyler is hilarious 😂

Someone tell these poor people you can freeze cheese for at least six months.
It'll make the cheese a little brittle because the proteins dont like being frozen but it still tastes good and behaves like normal when cooked (we get our cheese from Costco and half our cheese gets frozen when we get it)
Speaking of Whole Foods, there's a reason why my family and every single person I know calls it "Whole Paycheck."
A stream on unique and different cheeses would be fun. For example, I know of a cheese producer in Missouri that makes chocolate cheese. Could really have fun with this one.

As a dairy farmer I support this cheese. Also if its aged cheese and you are lactose intolerant you should be okay. LACTOSE BREAKS DOWN OVER TIME NATURALLY. Aged cheese is naturally lactose free 💁♀️

I love that Tyler just starts eating the real cheese pasta like a meal (so many bites) while not even thinking of the other pasta they have to eat.
What Safiya and Tyler eat in a day:
1. Breakfast: Franken unusual-flavor cereal or Franken strange pancakes
2. Lunch: Franken TikTok ramen
3. Dinner: Franken mac and cheese
4. Dessert: Franken Oreo cookie or cookies n' cream
To drink: expired and/or discontinued 90's beverages
This was some method, mostly madness stream where word cheese lost any meaning 😅

You know the shit people say on a first date to make themselves sound cool? I once overheard a guy on a date bragging about his cooking. He was saying that he met so-and-so well-known chef and the chef said this guy’s béchamel was astounding. So hilarious when you realize bechamel is basically just milk, butter, and flour lol
