    Great videos, keep them coming.
    Quick question - how do you get to change oils other than Throttle that the dealership usually uses when you give your bike for service? Do we have the option of buying these aftermarket oils and getting them to replace it during the oil services? My CB has done 4k+ and is about 10m old ...would love to try some different oils other than Throttle...just don't know how.

      Hey buddy to be honest, my bike Never went to the Bigwing service center for any free service other than the first free service. I myself belonged to the automotive service industry i maintain all my bikes and cars at home itself.
      At the most you can request the Bigwing service center to use the oil of your choice and buy litres of engine oil from them just to keep it company records to be compliant with warranty. If you have other bikes(even an Activa) at home, you can use the Throttle oil for them.
      Don't quote me although 😅

    Just wanted to check with you about H'ness 350. From one highness owner to another. Its been six months since I have purchased this amazing cruiser. But of late, I've been observing some sort of sound coming from the bike only between the speeds 40 to 60 and that too not whilst throttling/accelerating but when we decelerate or bring the accelerator to its default position. Some sort of sound as if the chain is touching or (wish I could make sound in comments 😂) something. I specifically observed this happens in 4th gear only. Not in other Gears. Is it normal or ever happened with your H'ness ?

    • @arv1ndgr
      @arv1ndgr Před rokem +1

      In 6 months you need to tighten the chain. This happens to most owners

    • @RajkaGarage
      @RajkaGarage  Před rokem +2

      Let me attempt to imitate the sound 😁. Is it something like
      "khniss..Khniss..Khniss" 😂
      2 things...1. Check if the chain is too loose and touching the chain slider rubber on top of the swing arm.
      2. Rotate the wheel by hand and see if there is any noise from the rear brake system.
      Secondly, I was recently telling one of my other CB friend that the rear sprocket hissing noise is very much synonym to the overall CB350 firing.
      So get the chain slack checked once and check for the rear brake noise.

  • @chandarmehta-qz9dk
    @chandarmehta-qz9dk Před rokem +2

    This one’s interesting. My personal experience is a tad different.
    I used 5W30 Motul V300 and following is the experience:
    Smoothens the engine. Fuel economy stays the same. Gear changes are smooth and vibration reduces while the difference is evident when compared with Stock Honda Oil. The unique experience of this Motul was the settling time on morning start was pretty good and the motorcycle seldom went to high rpms that it goes with stock oil for 40-50 seconds without acceleration. The worst part was, it was reduced by 30 ml and it turned almost dark brown, The deterioration starts at 3500 Kms and I had to change it at 4200 Kms.
    Currently I am using Liqui Moly 10W30 for Honda Highness CB350 which I got it for 998 for 2 liters. Have clocked around 200+ kilometers and lets see how it does but for this short duration, following are some personal experiences:
    Engine smoothness is same as Motul, Gear changes are much superior to Motul both up and down shifts while vibrations are equivalent to Motul as her highness has some vibration at swing arms irrespective of oils, no matter how correct you tighten the chain. The downside that I can see if it can be called one is that the settling time for morning startups are like stock oil and unlike Motul 300V.
    Overall I think Liqui Moly makes a good value while costing almost half. Technically too it had proved its superiority years back - sharing the video of different grade oil though times have changed now:
    czcams.com/video/cLFWFPiByNI/video.html
    P.S. I use my highness for long rides only Thane-Baroda or Shirpur or Kharadi Pune etc.

    Raj my friend.... One question. As you may remember, I live in the hills and the weather is quite cold. Should I be using a different oil?

    • @RajkaGarage
      @RajkaGarage  Před rokem +1

      For colder weather like yours the most ideal would going with a 5W30 oil. While I say that unless it's not snowing, even a 10W does the job. Just one recommendation, whenever you start the engine, let the engine idle for atleast 30-40 seconds before you gear on and move the bike.

      Have you done with all the free service of your H'ness. If yes and if planning to service outside, then you can go for Idemitsu IRG7 10W30 Full Synthetic Engine Oil. This oil is an upgraded version of the Honda Throttle Engine Oil used by service center but costs around 450/ltr (as per current discount rates they are have). It may be little difficult to find them in local spare shops, but you can call Idemitsu company helpline number directly and get name of the concerned regional sales guy in your locality. I did the same in where I live.
      Have used this oil in my recent Rajasthan ride and found it to be a gem at the cost it is available at.

      Hey Akshay.. . Kuch questions hai..
      1. Oil Liqui Moly Street Race Fully Synthetic hai ya Street Semi synthetic.
      2. Ride Kahan karne Wale ho.. konse state mein.
      3. Ek stretch mein kitna kms bike chalegi.
      4. Bike ka engine kitna kms chala hai..
      Agar hot area mein ride nahi honi wali hai aur ek stretch mein 150-200 kms chalne ka plan hai aur street race Fully Synthetic oil hai toh Hornet ko chal jayega..
      But at the same time.. agar ride ke maze lene hai (engine ko maze Dene hai toh) i will prefer replacing oil before long ride.
