Fall Season is my favorite time for backpacking. And I sure got a lot of colors in October
... Good Morning Jason and group ... Any hike is a good day ... Spectacular Colors .... Got to make mention to others ,, a pre-dug cat hole just looks like a lucky find when your in dire need ,, carry bright colored survey tape and mark it ,, respect by others shall be honored ... .. Need to get out to the Rockies ,find a trail close to 14K ft. ,, find a Star Gap and be in AWE ... close enough to touch 'em ...

Great trip! Glad I’m not the only one who experiences having the weather being wrong. I would have to say my favorite area to hike in the fall is in the PA Wilds. Several trails and all are relatively remote. The colors in your area looked beautiful! What tarp did you get. Looks mike a Hammock Gear.
I got the Hammock Gear Tarp. 11” with doors. It’s been about 8 years since I’ve gotten a new tarp. I love it and I’ve already been in a bunch of storms. Lol

Vermont fall colors for me ! Hiked with Red White And Blue and a whole bunch of other folks out in California about five years ago ! That group gets it done right ! Thanks for sharing man !

Indian Staircase trail has many places for a glorious day to poop in the rain. You-all had some beautiful colors. We had some great colors a week ago yet. Thanks for taking us along!

When it rains it pours! The fall can be the best and worst weather in the same trip. The pros is that you get to hang with your friends. Cool organizer!

I have a 12 year old Gregory Baltoro 75. Great pack but probably weighs 6 pound. Was wondering what would you suggest for a lighter pack? I probably have a base weight of 20-25 pounds. Need to cut that back. I just have a lot of old gear. Been looking at Waymark Embr60. ULA catalyst. Probably only do 3-5 day backpacking trips. Also thinking of a bear canister instead of hanging food. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks again documenting your backpacking adventures.
I wouldn’t worry about a bear canister. Just hang your food or keep it far away when you’re sleeping.
