You probably already know this by now since it's uploaded more than half a year ago but you can link your pads. That way you can trigger both your snares simultaneously by having one as master and the other as slave. Dope stuff going on here.
@GrooveBeatz he was not in keyboard mode, hes just assigned different sounds to four pads, thats why there is only four pads lit up, if he was in keyboard mode, non e of the pads light up unless you hit them, IF thats what you was asking.

with Maschine (or any other DAW) best way to sample is get "sound flower" (its a free download, google it) and you can sample straight from the audio being played on your computer (youtube, movies, etc.) doesn't have to be audio on your computer! If it makes noise and your computer plays it, you can sample it! Makes possibilities and sampling library endless!

@SappyMorot You press (and hold?) a pad, then press and hold the pad mode button and in your left screen you should see "Link Group" which is off by default. Turn the knob corresponding to that so that the group link is on (any number works) and put the status to master (this is on by default if you turn the group link on for a pad). Next, press (and hold?) the second pad you want to trigger when the first is triggered and repeat the same step. However change the status to slave.
After that its really up to you what you can make of the sounds, Also the best teacher in the world for using any program or hardware is youtube by far and then occasional forums..
Pretty dope. Got that Flyleaf sample going lol. Would've preferred to see you play all the drums live instead of sequencing each hit seperately, but thats your workflow, not mine. Just trying to decide between a Maschine and MPC as the centerpiece for my craft.
If youre looking for something thats just gonna sit there and not be transported look into mpc 4000. It has some effects no other mpcs have that are insanely useful. If I ever upgrade from the 1000 it will be to that
I assume you dont have maschine. But honestly, its fuckin dope. They updated the software to the point where you Can timestretch and its incredible. I had it for 4 months..I thought it was wak at first, I didnt give it a fair chance so I just stood with Ableton and did my thing with that. But after the Update, and a few videos I know it like the back of my hand. I use Maschine inside of Ableton and I feel thats all I really need. Plus, Maschine comes with an iLL set of drumkits. I recommend it.

It's funny how different some people make their music. At first it sounded absolutely horrible but then it ended up sounding great. My workflow is just so different from yours that I couldn't hear it at first.
yo dude, nice idea, would get some more 90s style sounding hip-hop drum samples on that badboy, it helps add to the ambient side, but epic idea, also, chop up some vox samples, check out old Nina Simone stuff, like that rough jazzy feel. Good job though man, got my head boppin.

Yo, im not a pro or even near but i was once in your position of having no clue whatsoever. But in my opinion you would probably want to start off getting used to a DAW which is a digital audio workstation and thats just a production program. I personally like FL studio a lot and i would recommend that for any beginner. Then you would really need any type of midi keyboard which lets you control the sounds and everything. I have an M-audio Axiom which is also what i started off with.
