I figured I would help The Print Fam start the year off correct with some screen print hacks. For #7 you can and should hit the blank screen with UV light to harden the emulsion. Also test the liquid tape on a few screens before applying it to all of them.
“I totally just made up that number” 🤣😂 I recently became obsessed with making my own tees simply because my ideas are way more dope than anything I could ever find online or in store (lol kidding) (...sort of 😂) Loved your video. I realize these tips are targeted at printers who have a larger output than little ol me, but I found them useful as well. Thanks! 🤘
dude , i think this video was sitting right here for me since 2018 to solve the majority of my daily screen printing problems now .... thank you so much for sharing
2:36 when I worked at a print shop, I would always have to be with the paint brush filling in all these pin holes. We did giant screens too for large signs, so it was a pretty tedious process.
maaaan.. where have you been?? I learned very valuable tips today. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.. what I liked the most is the liquid tape instead of tape. thanks again man.
I just started screen printing and love all the tips but I’d really love to pick your brain about certain techniques and tools to use in screen printing. Thanks for the tips.
To add to tip #5…If you are trying to spot remove a piece of emulsion in a tight spot you can put a barricade (example-tape a couple of rulers or something around the spot around the spot) in case you are slightly inaccurate on your first couple of shot attempts. I’m only reaping the benefits of tip #1 the last half year but it’s a game changer. Get those thin thread 157/48’s and thank Cam later!
I was at an event this weekend... came home tonight and watched the last two days of uploads! Very AWESOME Cam-O! Thanks for the great tips! Keep these videos coming! So glad you're doing these daily again!
Thanks for this video! I've had a rough week in the print shop and this made me laugh and realise it's not just me going through this!! This was brilliant.
Where I work most customers will get their prints sans flattening. On occasion, basically when I feel like it, I will post-flatten the screen prints in the transfer press, for maybe five seconds or so. It does make for a nicer feel.
Great stuff! Love the flat white technique! I've been using the spot gun for blowing emulsion out of screens for quite a while, but for accuracy, lay an erasing shield on the screen and use the spot gun through that.
I want to start screen printing my graphic designs in my converted shed with water based ink. Can you do a video on the dos and don't of water based ink screenprinting? I know there are different rules for applying and curing but have never seen a full run of a t-shirt from beginning to end. I love your videos!
what a great video! I'm not even in this industry and i watched the whole thing. well done, interesting and nicely edited. I had no idea tee shirt printing was such a science. All new mad respect.
They make stuff to fill up pinholes. I don't know what its actually called but we use this stuff called blocking fluid. Its just like your emulsion trick but I think it just needs to air dry instead of harden like emulsion dose. I also don't know if its different for auto presses or not but your last tip is just a smasher plate. Its a screen with a Teflon coating on the bottom and then instead of a squeegee its a rubber roller. I use it almost every time I am printing white onto cotton or blended shirts.
Hey Cam so basically #7 do the same thing that the $350 Roller? just add some cheap base and push a couple times, you have save me so much money and time bro thanks bro
?'...I TOTALLY just made up that number... you're welcome' Love yoir style... Totally just paused and subsxribed... WITH THE BELL!! Plus I just binge watched your videos!!! Great job.
I liked it. It might be a bit more than necessary for a beginner but I figure it can't hurt to learn the right and best ways from the get go! Peace and Thanks Al
Hey! Just wanna say thank you for sharing all the hacks and tips. And i'm extremely thankful for the spot cleaning gun one. It saved my ass today. All the best to you brother. Keep up the good work.
As a newbie just starting out with this venture I really enjoyed watching your hacks video. It was informative and well put together. I will following you for sure. Hope to learn some more things as I have yet to get any formal training in printing.
I was gonna say the same thing. Gonna start printing my own one color designs. Need to watch all his videos. Thanks for the videos bro. Makes something so intimidating a tad less. You gotta love ppl that share tips and tricks in a world of " go learn on your own,I did" ppl. That's what our channel is born from. Our moto is "We do the tests so you don't have to" You rock!! Thornton. ATD FAM.
Not to be a stick in the mud, but before you go and liquid tape all your screens, try and reclaim one which you've left the tape around the outside. These act very differently in your washout booth. Some don't mind it, others (your's truly) hate it.
great video man, I can't believe it just 4k subs, I think you should add Indonesian subtitle to your video, because here in Indonesia there are so many people who willing to learn how to screen printing, but it just a few who make proper tutorial in Bahasa
Hey I know you don't know me but I have been watching your video's and sort of became a fan... recently you worked on your exposure unit and I was inspired to rebuild min(ok nothing new or exciting about that) I will be using 32x34 screen frames to make it. will post pics when done... oh the 20x24 frames fit snug inside the bigger frames.
i saw you were using wilflex flo base, i bought an ink lot that has an old wilflex pantone mixing system, with all of the bases and colors, but was wondering what is the ratio for mixing-base to color-. woukd you ever do a video on this subject? thanks, keep up the good work on your vids👍
Great video Cam! Liquid tape. Beautiful. Here's my question Cam... What are you using for the retracting spool for the spot gun? We were just trying to figure out a good place to put ours so it's handy but not in the way. I Love this concept!
Antonio, If those are Laser copies from Office Depot, Casey's Ultra Black Spray should help on the Film. It darkens the ink up a bit for burning screens. Are the Laser copies?

I'm always learning something new even after 25+ years in the business. Thank you.👍
Thank you for watching, I'm going back to the student instead of trying to be the teacher.
emulsion pinhole hack was IT!!

Just watched two videos and already know how many people are extremely grateful you upload all these gems of information! Thank you, print fam!
Like an alternative for an emulsion hardening, i use double-exposure. Second time after rinsing and drying, the same amount of exposure time .
.... SERIOUSLY...... CAM.... You're a legend, liquid screen tape!!!
Now i just need to find this stuff in the uk :D
I'm a nubie, That emulsion hardener trick would have saved me so many times! Def. will use in the future, Thanks!
I was at an event this weekend... came home tonight and watched the last two days of uploads! Very AWESOME Cam-O! Thanks for the great tips! Keep these videos coming! So glad you're doing these daily again!
you could use spot gun or an airbrush. for finer detail
I have Been printing for around 9 years, just started using an auto, and having a hell of a time getting the white to be solid and smooth....
Cheap Chinese flash still working !!! I'm saving up for one.
so far so good. I have high hopes

Awesome!!! Thank You!!!
smooth white/color ink = heat press a 10-15sec
For sure the smoothest prints, just very time consuming. Depends on the job. We will do one or the other depending on the clients needs.
TIGHT WORK - GREAT TIPS
WOW!! Thanks CAM, this is great!!!
Yea I like the liquid tape best of all.
We all appreciate you sharing your tips and secrets.

Farmboy Graphics it is true the splash back is sorta irritating, but the time savings is worth dealing with the splash back.
Blows water right in your face. I hate liquid tape.
Thanks a lot. I learned many more.
Hi Cam! Excellent tips
Extremely useful, thanks again
Thanx for the advice !
thew liquid tape may cut down preparation time but its adds a ton of time for the washout process
Awesome!!!....thanks Cam!!

Great Info
As long as you do not try to Push plastisol ink through a 305 mesh screen.
Awesome video. Subbed
Great video man
How do you register for different size shirts? Jackets?
Question. Do i need to print flash print on white garments? With plastisol ink.
Nope.
Thanks for the upload. For the liquid tape do you have to re-brush the screen after reclaiming it?
Got educated 😀
Good work, bro.
