Mata got his fame from song "patointeligencja" that was talking about what todays teen/young adults are doing in schools. Since he was from a private school, he used it as a background for all of the stories (ofc not every story was true). So basically the media didn't liked it, and made a huge mess about how he is the reason why kids are demoralized, and he should be put in jail etc. They even took it step farther and wanted to attack his father (that is renown lawer and a professor) for what mata said in the song, which is wild.
The song that you just reacted to is a response to those threads about him

I highly recommend giving Paktofonika - Kinematografia (an album) a listen even just privately. They have some dope flows, really strong beats and deep lyrics and were really innovative in the polish hiphop scene. Some of my personal favourites from that album are: Ja to Ja, Nowiny, Lepiej być nie może, Chwile Ulotne and Rób co chcesz

This song has many references to his life and polish school life so it's hard to fully understand it when listening in translation
You should also see the band Kult, which is the history of Polish rock music. Arahia is their song, and I recommend you a song called "Polska" from Woodstock in 2019.

Mata is Definitely one of the most controversial but also one of the best in polish rap! There are many great songs of his but i highly recommend patointeligencja, patoprohibicja, szmata, szafir, kiss cam (the first and only polish song to hit billborad 200) and MC. Also People sometimes call him the "Polish Eminem" If you want to listen to different artists i HIGHLY recommend Sobel's music and one of the best songs aswell is Tamagotchi from Taconafide. (It might be hard to find the english lyrics for all the songs but hopefully there are out there in the internet. And if you want a COMPLETELY different genre maybe listen to some "Sanah" An AMAZING artist! with an incredible voice......... And of course you have the Disco polo music genre... not everybody likes them... me included HOWEVER there are some great songs! That are legendary at this point such as "milosc w zakopanym" from slawomir!

If it comes to polish rap music you should definitely listen to Sarius. He's from the new generation of polish rap. For me and others his songs are so meaningful and the music is also lit. The most famous of his songs is Wiking. I also like Najs Hajs but tbh pretty much all of his work is amazing. You should try it :)

You should listen polish artists like Republika (e.g Biała flaga), Obywatel GC (e.g Tak, tak), Dżem ( e.g. Jak malowany ptak) or from the newer artists - Daria Zawiałow (e.g. Metropolis) or Kwiat Jabłoni (e.g. Dziś późno pójdę spać). You will not regret :)
You should listen to #hot16challenge by Konrad Berkowicz, Member of Parliament. I would highly recommend.
