@@masterzoroark6664 most American place names are either a) ripped straight from mostly England, sometimes the other U.K. countries (Massachusetts has a LOT of English place names) b) either Spanish, French or sometimes dutch/German depending on what countries owned the area when people were settling, c) Native American place names (I guess they just asked the locals where they were?) or d) just like, an observation on the area/ the name of the founder like Boulder City which I assume is just a place that either once had a big boulder there or was founded by a dude named Boulder. I’d say like 60% of American towns/cities are either English towns/cities (New York, ect there’s even a MA town named after the shitty tiny English town I live in) or Spanish/French/ect towns/cities

When i 1st read that a year ago i was like aight... then when i read more SCPs i kept think... huh?
I think the foundation understood that whatever was going on inside there was out of their control. And that someone else seemed to be willing to take responsibility. They probably had nukes and an army set to the side ready if the cloud expanded, or a massive fence for when nothing happened.
Considering that they can't even reliably find the place after that contact, I guess they just threw their hands up

There is a lot of seriously creepy research done by psychologists on children's imaginations. Like, one that stuck with me was a kid kept drawing some seriously fucked up monster despite parents being careful to not expose him to any frightening books/movies etc, and when the shrink asked where this thing came from, the kid flat out said "can't you see him?" ...and other examples where parents will wake up and find their child has been watching them sleep for hours and if asked why, the kids say "you know why" and... fuck it makes me want to get a vasectomy 🙀

Despite being a being of chaos, Discord is ultimately native to a series notorious for sugary innocence. Considering that some things from the SCP universe can be scaled to WH40k, I suppose it makes sense that Discord just saw the invite and was like "fuck that shit I'm out."

Gotta love the sheer variety of SCP stories. From cosmic horror that'll make Lovecraft proud, a God Battle Royale or just some guy who sees any living thing as Shia LaBeouf.
There’s a series V about a demon lord who can only be summoned when millions of lives are sacrificed, but the cult tricks the demon into thinking fortnite deaths counted as real deaths, and the demon came out talking in fortnite slang
Honestly, there's a lot of similarity between Lovecraft and the SCP Foundation. Lovecraft worked with a lot of different authors in pulp magazines, referencing stuff from other authors and having his own works mentioned in their stuff. Sometimes it was canon, other times it wasn't. You basically had a bunch of authors submitting horror stories of greatly varying quality, sometimes connected to other stories and other times just by itself. And that's what the SCP Foundation website is, too.

@WiseOwl3 No way. The Foundation has plenty of space to house people (in cells underground), and the Foundation can also produce unlimited food via a number of SCPs. So food and board costs are negligible.

well, TES examined and explained that is most likely a manifestation of the Titan Cronus, so depends on how a Titan compares to an eldritch old one entity. I'm not sure exactly who's where on the divine pecking order.

I can imagine Sheo just bringing up Daleport in a conversation with some random mortal. I feel like it would go something like this.
"Y'know little mortal, I've been to many different planes of existence in my travels. I've been to every plane of Oblivion, Aetherius, and Mundus and even beyond! I've seen things that would make your little mortal brain explode! But let me tell you the story of my vacation in a little town known as Daleport. Marvelous Place! Reality folded in on itself, other "Gods" were fighting to the death. I think my favorite god there, besides myself of course, was the Shredded Cabbage of Misfortune! Anyways, I was invited there by the mortals who live there. They actually thought they could bind me there. HA! As if, it's hard enough for a mortal to bind a Daedra, let alone a DAEDRIC PRINCE! I tricked them into thinking that they successfully bound me there so I could mess with the other gods. I threw meteors at them, pelted them with cheese, all kinds of delightful mischief! I ended up leaving when I saw that there were only three of them left. I've had my fun and Haskill was probably getting worried about me. Anyways, I think I've held you up for long enough, little mortal. Here's some cheese for listening to me ramble. TA TA!"

It's interesting to me that you have become so popular seeing as you ignore the normal established presentation of an SCP. Maybe people are just tired of scratchy redaction noises.
The way he explains SCP's are very educational, and easy to learn. At least for me that is.
CZcamsrs like TheVolgun put a lot of time and effort into their videos, which is also very nice, but it's kinda hard for me to keep up with what they are trying to say because of most of the [REDACTED] sounds.
It's as though the exploring series is an omni-present SCP explaining to us the SCP world to an alternate reality where the SCP foundation never existed.

I go to TheVolgun to listen to the original entries cus I'm too lazy to read..aka my reading comprehension is shit and need someone to say it to me word for word. Then I go to The Exploring Series cus their explanations clear things up for me and I enjoy the theories that he comes up with.
Im personally using this channel as easy summary of various SCP's. If it sounds interesting, then I try see if Volgun made video about it.

"Sheogorath remains, ruling his kingdom of two faces before he himself brings its downfall, only to be stopped by a great prisoner of the dragon king." That is literally the plot of the Shivering Isles expansion.

From an Owl City fan, I can see your point but it still feels like a joke reference if you ask me (not that I disliked it tho).
Embers feels like a uplift/mars that fits for team sport or olympics but not dramatic enough for battle royale, because Embers often use "we" and "unite" that doesn't suit the battle royale aspect.

I wouldn’t be at all surprised. Dig deep enough into TES lore and you’ll find stories of time traveling robots becoming saints, reality breaking down because someone changed the nature of a god, in-universe Cold Wars that culminated in space races, and then you get to the Michael Kirkbride weirdness.

I'd love this to be an SCP game, you choose your faction creating and leading cosmic entities, and duke it out an all out battle royal, with each faction having different upsides and downsides.

this should be made into a battle royal game, where the player are humans who selects which god to align, and they assist their God in the battle ground with different horrific monstrosity in a chaotic battle, the setting is like in the story. A drone (like Curiosity or standard Earth ones) is altered to be humanoid and capable of using weapons, complete with military-grade training. Also it can see and hear, even if it wasn't built with that. Also you can talk to it to teach it stuff, which makes it rewrite its own code to incorporate new information.
