From what I've looked up, it is possible to switch drivers in the middle of a race. However, it is not allowed to switch cars. But because in this universe cars are considered people, they're bending the rules.
It’s the driver switch and both drivers are credited with both the finishing position and points toward a championship
Its not cheating but its not fair for the other racers
That's illegal for me, if its allowed then others will just swap cars every race
I loved all of Doc's footage. It was definitely nice to hear his voice again even after he was gone.
Even the unused footage/recordings they didn't use in the first movie being brought in here was such a nice tribute to him.
I think they did the same with Mr.Potato Head in Toy Story 4, after Don Rickles passed away.

Jackson Storm is electric!? Whoa, I had no idea--but it makes sense! After all, he really IS the car of the future in that universe!
Charlotte is so cute! Seeing her reminded me of when you and Jane were watching episode 4 season 1 of "The Mandalorian" when Mando told Grogu to stop touching things, but he kept pushing buttons anyway. You two said that Charlotte was like that when you would tell her "Don't do that."
Lightning's experience on the simulator is based on one of the NASCAR great's (I forget which one) similar experience on one. XD It's just a different set of skills! This film also went through quite a few potential endings, one of which is "More Than New Paint". I won't give away everything that happens in case you want to CZcams it yourself, but it's kinda hard to watch (in a good way) and it involves both Lightning and Cruz racing at the same time with Lightning in Doc's paint job. 💖 There's a lot of parts to it that I would have LOVED to have seen in the final product, but I deeply appreciate Pixar taking one of their most kid-popular franchises and giving a very ADULT message to the end of it.

The newer karts were too sensitive for me, it felt like I couldn't get the hang of em and I sprained my ankle by crashing too many times.

Where was the sound from the movie?!
I missed hearing you at the end talk about the movie. I love that. Glad you loved this movie. It's my favorite Cars movie. It's so perfect how it brings in things from the first movie, but takes you beyond that. It isn't a copy, but a rightful sequel. Some things are the same like at the end Doc and McQueen respectfully are on the headset. Perfect tribute to the glory of the first movie. McQueen and Cruz racing at the end like Doc and McQueen did. I love those little touches, but Iove the how Doc won that race shown in Cars 3 and Cruz taking that and using it. It's so beautiful. I need to watch Cars 3 as a whole again. It's been a while. Recently watched the ending though, but that's not the whole thing. The ending of Cars 1 and 3 get me teary-eyed every time now. I think I was able to watch them once or twice amd not be teary-eyed, but now they do. They are just such beautiful endings. If they ever make a Cars 4, they better not mess it up. Cars 2 was good, but nothing compared to Cars 1 and 3 and I would want Cars 4 to be in line with those because they are great stories with great messages.

Professor Z, Holly Shiftwell Vs. Acer, Mater Vs. Axelrod, Fritter Vs. Frank, Cruz Remirez Vs. Jackson Storm & Lightning McQueen Vs. the main antagonist. I'm aware of what Doc suffered, but what if he faked his death? Someone else could voice him so he can return. I mean, they did it with Slinky for Toy Story 3.
@@jamiegameplaythrough9485 I'm against bringing in another voice actor for Doc, period. If they ever did that I'd be mad at them. I think in some cases another voice actor works, but not here. They laid Doc to rest with the voice actor passing away and made mention in Cars 2 to Doc passing and in Cars 3 brought him in memory. Don't "take that all away" with him faking his death or bringing in another actor. That's just insult and a worse insult to the Cars Franchise than Cars 2 and I like Cars 2, just it isn't the same. Did it ever technically happen? There is a Mater's Tall Tales out there, so it could be one of those or the spy part and they just never told us in the end it was made up. They made it look like it really happened in the franchise, but what if the joke is on us? Now that's an interesting thought. And I would maybe like to a much older McQueen. I'm not talking an old car, but an older car and he watched Cruz win her Piston Cup or two and maybe have not a rookie, but a car in his or her 3rd-5th year needing help or an intervention. Maybe it's McQueen's newest trainie or something like that after moving teams. It would need to be something as good as Cars 1 and 3 and personally I'm happy if they end it here with the movies. We don't have to more if they suck or are on Cars 2 level.

This was easily my favorite of the 3 movies. I don’t live far from Daytona and I swear I saw Jackson Storm down there once. 😂💔 He even had the blue neon lights!

Turns out the new gen of race cars in this movie seems to be more or less how they really look irl yes, but Jackson storm is essentially the latest of his model of race car, cutting edge of pretty much everything about his type of car. In fact Storm is basically like McQueen all over again when he used to be the newest type of his car back then, oh fun fact McQueen's character is said to be in his mid 20s by now in present day. Jackson is in his adulthood also, tho likely a little younger so probably early 20s or very late teens, so like between 18/19 to 21 and McQueen around 23 to 25.

My guess is that it's because of copyright.
Cars 3 made me ugly cry quite a few times. I love everything about it. The only thing I would do to make it better is have the original ending where both Lightning and Cruz compete at the end. That way, Cruz gets her first chance and the whole point of the plot of Lightning wanting to prove himself wouldn't be forgotten. In the final product, they totally had all these challenges with McQueen to get faster...and for what? To have Cruz do it for him?
I also would have written more character in Cruz and Jackson. They aren't well developed and for the whole movie they just *exist.* They are great additions to the Cars franchise. But if we are going to have them take the spotlight; then I would've held off on the release date to shift focus for development of them both. I also wish that the townies were not as sidelined. They are all lovable and make the stories memorable. I was disappointed that we didn't see much of Mater. At least Sally got some screen time. Which I wish there was also more of her since Pixar focuses least on her relationship with McQueen. They tend to focus on his friendships with Doc, Mater and Cruz more. So lots of missed opportunities for evolution of every character. But those are my only judges. Great movie overall. Last time I watched it my 98 year old grandpa joined and watched a little with me. Then he told me *"I like the red guy"* and I cried because Lightning is my favorite character and the rest of my family doesn't like him. But my grandpa liked him! And that's all that matters!

@@cjjackson2423i think he meant didn't retire because by on The Road he's still racing but is Cruz's mentor and remained as her crew chief for the rest of the season after Cars 3 also Lighting is in his early to mid 40s according to the movie's director Brian Fee so Lighting is slowly exiting his prime as a racer hence his speed decrease in Cars 3 it's like real life athletes. Personally I don't think Lighting would've won the final race against Storm he can be smarter then him all he wants but if he can't keep up then what's the use.
Yeah and that Malta's nascar races literally he wasn't he was the top dog now he isn't anymore Black-and-white and the Queen is 50 years old the year he was born the year he was built literally 2006 he won his 1st win and Glenn Allen's dumb-ass in 2006

It's a good film but it could get really boring at times.
This is also my favorite of the 3, but even then I hate 1 and have to much nostalgia for 2. But this movie is also just bad.
Like Cruz is just dumb, like she shouldn't have won the race. Like bruh the movie was all about Lightning and then they just threw that out the window. The movie was about Lightning not about Cruz.
Lightning is back to his jerkiness which is just hard to watch again, the ending is the worst and I just hate everything about the ending.
But what I like about this movie is not a lot: I like the Doc Hudson history and how they handle his death. I liked the mud fight thing.
But I just hate this movie. But I still find it somewhat more enjoyable that the first 2, which isn't saying much, because I hate this trilogy
I never like the Cars Franchise for alot of reasons,it's easily one of the worst Franchises ever made,also can you watch Atlantis the Lost Empire,Treasure Planet,and one of my personal favorites Lion King 2 Simba's Pride.
