    Very neatly explained 💗 will do try , shall I use gel colour for painting??

    • @BunscoatBakery
      @BunscoatBakery  Před 2 lety +1

      You can but i used edibleart decorative cake paint here☺️
      I prefer that to gel because it take so much time to dry. But if you are not in a hurry then it's ok too☺️

    Hi ! I have gel food color and want to try this technique to paint flowers. I wonder if the paint does not give a bitter taste to the cake. Thanks

    • @BunscoatBakery
      @BunscoatBakery  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi, it totally depends on the brand that you are using. But i don't think you have to worry about it so much as long as you don't pour a huge amount of paint on your flower.
      I used edibleart decorative cake paint here.

    Would I be able to paint with liquid food colouring or would it be better to use gel or a different type? I find it difficult to get hold of anything other than liquid and I want to paint on fondant for a birthday cake

    • @BunscoatBakery
      @BunscoatBakery  Před 2 lety +2

      Gel or powder would be ideal as it will have a brighter look, i used edible art paint here.
      As for the liquid food coloring i haven't tried it personally but i think it might also work but i think it will have a light/watercolor effect.

    Hi, did you use the gel colours directly without mixing with anything else?

    • @BunscoatBakery
      @BunscoatBakery  Před 2 lety +2

      Yes that's right.. then just add water if you need a watercolor effect ☺️

      She is the first not to mix it with anything. How long did the fontant stand out at room temp after rolling it out before you painted? A regular pencil for cakes..ummm???

    I have americolor gel colors can I use them for painting.. I don't have to mix anything?

    • @BunscoatBakery
      @BunscoatBakery  Před 2 lety +1

      I'm sorry, i have use americolor for coloring fondant but i haven't used it for painting.
      My other friends use flowpaste so i think it should be alright. As they have the same consistency.

    Should we need to dry fondant first or directly we trace and paint?

    • @BunscoatBakery
      @BunscoatBakery  Před 2 lety +1

      Flatten your fondant then wait for about 10-15mins or until it's not too soft. Then you can start.
