Lauren: we dont have to do 70
Lol
I pulled my 78 c10 out after sitting 7yrs. Drove it as my daily for almost 2yrs. 38miles one way for work every day.. I love the way that old truck drives and the smell is a one of a kind. I've had that truck for 20yrs
Now that's a truck! I've been wanting a squarebody Chevy for a long time, these new trucks don't have the ruggedness like those.
9:40 you can see how Nick is worried about his car starter lol
once you learn the way these cars handle they are actually pretty fun to throw through the corners
Hammerdown Motorsports bring out the Dart and lets goooo!
GuitarmageddonZL1 absolutely I gotta get her out of hibernation
Hmmm is Nick gonna go to the Hammerdown Headquarters to install the exhaust this weekend????? Or is it gonna be CSP?????
@@HammerdownMotorsportsUSA You should Hemi swap the Dart if you want to keep up with the Camaro
carl weston lol I like the 360 it has 425hp if I were to change it it would be a 340 all the way
The car is fucking awesome Nick. Congratulations again man. And its so awesome of you to let your dad drive it whenever he wants to.
When my dad bought his Nova the salesman showed him how to hide the seatbelts
I used to hide all my seatbelts back in the day!
You did way better than most starting a carbureted motor on a cold day. Holley has a dvd on tuning a carburetor that is really good. If your carburetor has an electric choke, pump the pedal a couple times then push it to the floor, let off then start it. That will engage the choke and it should fire right up and high idle until it warms up.
LOVE the reactions of people that have Never been around classic cars. I daily drove a 70 Nova for 5 years.
Great job Lauren! She can handle that Big Block 454 like a Champ! 🏆 I have owned a 540ci Big Block ‘69 Nova SS for 8 years and my wife has never driven it. She said it scares her too much to drive it! 🤣
She'll be surprised at how fun it is to drive a high horsepower car like your Nova.
Assuming an electric and not manual choke, push the gas pedal to the floor, let off 100%, push the gas pedal halfway down then start the car. Even in cold weather it should fire right up. My '84 Caprice was carbureted and it always fired up faster than any fuel injected vehicle I've ever owned. You're making me miss driving an old car driving this thing around! I'm going to have to go get an old car now!
funny how we forget some cars we own. this makes me feel like getting my 68 and 69 out, it has been some 20 years since they seen the light of day. Side pipes and roll cages.
I bought a new 1969 Camaro when I got out of the Marine Corps in July 1969 . Had a 350 ci engine with an automatic trans, my new wife couldn’t drive a stick. The car was nothing fancy vinyl roof, rally wheels am radio. Total out the door price $2800 tax and plates included. They had a 1969 ZL1 Camaro in the showroom with no radio, no heater, rubber mats no carpet window sticker over $7,000. The engine alone was $4,000 option. More $’s than a new Corvette. Was a great time to live in Detroit when it came to cars.
Welcome to a time where real cars were built. Glad you got this nick. I've always wanted a first gen. My 99 has the door key and the square ignition also.
Not that I don't love the old Camaros, I had a '73. I. Opted for a third gen 2001 Z28, with an LS1 with a great Monsoon sound,6speed, and power seats and airbags. Ttops too!! Love this and only 11K.
Did anyone else see her run that stop sign?!?!?! Haha awesome car congrats on everything. Keep the vids coming. 👍
The first thing your gonna want to do is upgrade the head and tail lights. When I had mine I almost got rear ended cause the person behind me didn't see my brake lights. Driving at night is a joke with the yellow tinted old sealed beams. You have to go to Classic Industries, they carry a few nice conversion kits to put bright whites in it, makes a world of difference. While you're there get some LED tail lights, keep the car safe. Good luck bro
Yesss finally lauren reaction in the beautiful 69 camaro
Good job Lauren! I liked your comment "you don't have to do 70". 😊
Nice love your content nick great work
Bahaha! Lauren references Mario Kart. 🍄
Great tunes brother !!!!
That 69 Camaro is on another planet better than any Blazer
I love it my boy nick keep up the work and love video 💯💯💯💯
The look on your cherry's face was priceless while driving the 69! Could actually see her mentally comparing the drive to modern standards, she's hot stuff!!...100%fire ...top ride homz!!
Love it, I dream of getting to drive an old muscle car like that
My pickup doesn't have cupholders either. It's amazing what didn't come in older cars.
Lauren seems to be a bit stressed driving 69, but She looks great in it 😁 be careful Nick, You may end up driving a blazer 😂😂
That's awesome, looking forward to hearing the exhaust. ,👍
Very nice car, keep the content coming.
That last shot was killer.
Jumping pic to pic was hard on my old eyes.
Women's driving a man's car...... holy hell.
GuitarmageddonZL1 Great Video I think Lauren did a Great job driving your Rare 69 Camaro
Why is that every new go pro camera that comes out gets worse and worse ?😂
missing the shoulder belt they mount out of the way up on the headliner when not in use
Nothing like the old school!
Good job Lauren ... Love the car nick ... ye I love driving my 1995 Dakota ... it’s not nearly as old but fun to drive because it’s old and nothing fancy
Lauren did a great job! Really love the 69 Camaro content with your parents and Lauren in them!
That car has potential to be a great driver with some upgrades. My 69 had a 496 big block with a T-56.
Good job, Lauren. It will grow on you the more you drive it. They just don’t make them like that anymore. Y’all be careful in it at night, and especially if you ever get caught out in it in the rain, they can easily slide either end the wrong way.
Very beautiful car, Nick.
Such a cool vlog. You have such a level of Trust in Lauren. It shows how much you love her. Cool.
Yes Lauren way different drive... 🌹 And just to say you appreciate shows that you are a true gearhead.
No one wore those lap belts and I think they were a dealer option for the safety minded. We used to drive around with the kids on our laps or playing in the back seat. If you had to hit the brakes hard the kids would wind up on the floor or under the dash. Crazy to think about it now a days.
I don't know how we survived our childhood back in the '60s and '70s...I can't tell you how many times I rolled from one side of the backseat to the other...lol
Everything said about having a classic car is true, once you own one you will never want anything newer, I own 2 classic cars a 66 Nova SS and a NA Miata
I love that 69 Camaro. You should bring it to a car show in Pittsburgh this Spring/Summer.
Everyone needs a Lauren. And everyone needs to drive a classic at least once. I can't imagine living a life without that. It's like a dog hanging out the window.... You hear, smell, and FEEL everything.. THAT is living!
Got to love the older models and old school vehicles.
I own a 1969 NOVA SS 427 ,NO BETTER FEELIN IN THE WORLD BACKIN THAT BEAST OUT OF THE GARAGE
nice
Geez, Nick! That is my Dream car except I want a 396cid. That is one SWEET ride my man! I am green with envy!
Back in the day he says My 94 Gmc Serria has separate keys to unlock and start which is funny when your friends has to deal with the embarrassment of asking me how to start it😂
Awww mane I just get the chills every time I see this car. Damn I want one so badly !!!
Me and my dad are restoring his 1969 camaro convertible
Dude, I totally Feel Your Pain.
Congratulations the car is beautiful. Do you plan on modernizing suspension and brakes?
They had a square (ignition) and round (door & trunk) in the 80's and maybe 90's. The learning curve is interesting in a carburated vehicle.
Lauren you did good for driving a classic car for your frist time
U were 45 min from my house!!! 322 west to port royal exit!!!! Home of the speed palace!!! Like ur vids!!!
HD- DOUGIE I have a camp up there off 35.
Loren looked good behind the wheel of the 69 Camaro I think after a few times driving it she will be ready to rip it down the strip....lol thanks for the video I love the new old car videos.
her look of concentration was great.. and we just gonna pretend she didnt roll through that stop sign?
BEAUTIFUL car Nick
I was into the rabbits in the early 80's the diesel and gas I had a gas that would run 11's in he 1/4 and I had a diesel p/u we put tandem axels under it and a turbo and got over 60 mpg . it had as mush power as a good running lawnmower but it was fun to drive.
and to add If you only knew how many of these I have took and put on dirt tracks. if only I had known what some of these would be worth now.
Nice job, now you know what a real muscle car drives like!
Lol she’s so scared but yet has driven in two different 1000hp rockets
I love the old cars , i grew up drivin that shit. Tell lauren not to hold on so tight you kinda aim the car lol . sweet ride.
So sick... this is one of dream cars
Want to see what fuel injection you use! I have a 64 Chevelle 454 crate motor and not sure which EFI system to get
I heard the fitech setup is really hit or miss. It either works perfect or don't work at all. I think the holley EFI is probably the best. Between setup and Holley support
Get yourself a quick ratio steering box. It will help a lot especially since most restorations just paint the stocker.
The pattern on the back seat looks like it came out of a 1969 Pontiac Firebird .
good job love it!
That GTI is awesome!!! I really like 80’s cars. That Camaro is cooler tho
I can’t with these CZcamsrs video titles and thumbnails. 😂😂
Lol @ the VW..🤣
That 84 vw is sick af 👍
my 1967 camaros carb is very good, i can go 3 months without starting it and it starts like a brand new car
😎🇺🇸👍 Hi Lauren! Sweet ride for sure takes me back 🔥✌️
LOVE IT!!!!
Ahh yes, the good old days when you actually had to pay attention to what the car was doing while you were driving it! Try texting while driving a 1979 International Scout II; write your will first.
lol that whole house must smell like exhaust fumes warming up backed into the garage haha
Most likely it has automatic choke so you pump gas 1 time to engage the choke before you try to start it.
You looked like you were going to have a small heart attack when she was first starting it up 😂
I'm hoping you do put a Holly EFI & a 4 Seasons A/C system on this sweet '69. The first time I remember putting a seatbelt on was in 1986 when I went on the Blytheville, Ark Air Force Base to apply for a civilian job. The next time was in 1987 when I was hired as a school bus driver. I had to wear that one every day. Maybe the guy who rolled his car downhill was out of gas or the engine stalled. He'll have CSP work on the car, Lauren. Who else?
Those Burgers look so amazing, I'm starving now!!
That V dub is sweet
How much are these ?
Woooo Lauren killed it! 🇺🇸
Hell yeah!!!letter rip Lauren!!!
When your friends motor cost more than your car. Haha Volkswagen guy FAIL! 😂😂
The Camaro looks beautiful that was so cool to let ur girl friend drive the car I been trying to let my wife drive my Camaro but she say is to loud next time I will make a video of it is a true ss 396 car but now it got a 383 stroke motor with a 3 half inch x pipe and it got the m22 rock crusher speed 12 boilt 373
That VW IS SICK
Lauren is funny. Like a person who's never seen a car before.
Do you still hang out with StreetSpeed 717?
Tom Herdman yea I wanna know to
@@417hatfield9 they made a video together a couple of months. They don't get to make a lot of videos together like they used to do since they are busy. And the plebs think that being busy means having beef 🙄🤣 Hope the next time they collab they make truck content
Damn the 84 GTI was doing a decent job keeping up with that 454 👍
Get the 454 engine badges for the front fenders...
That car would be so much cooler with a 4 speed manual
yes
I don’t believe Lauren is enjoying the ole 69 Camaro at all 😂
Stay away from fitech. If you're gonna go tbi efi, go with Holley Sniper. It's awesome. I just put a vortech v3 si supercharger on my sniper tbi injected 1990 K2500 pickup.
Eric Ernst I already decided on Holley. That’s the only one I’d ever do.
I put a 3.43 of 3.73 rear end on that bad boy instead of the 3.03....you know you're going to the drag strip!
Still cant wait to let my wife drive my 69 impala .drums all around.396 tank
Awesome car man I’m jealous. 👍
She did great she was learning the car
Beautiful Camaro! Shim that starter please lol
🤔 if I had the 69 I'd put on the Holley fuel injection unit on it that would really optimize the power .
