Star Wars is one of the most successful movie franchise in history. Earning almost $41B in box-office sales. It was created by George Lucas which began with the first film released in 1977 film and quickly became a worldwide pop-culture phenomenon. It has been expanded into several films and other media, including television series, video games, novels, comic books and theme park attractions. Recently, Lucasfilm Ltd the production company who owns the Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchise was acquired by Disney Corp for $2.2B.
