It was really nice that she took someone with no experience to be her model. We see a lot of emphasis on models to look a certain way and have loads of followers on ig. But she’s just a regular person. This was great!!!! Kudos to Jessica for picking someone with 300 followers

You really don’t need a professional model to get amazing pictures. It’s all about how you direct them. I hope this video motivates everyone who is starting out to go out and shoot more! Practice makes perfect! And as always awesome job Jess & Keep this amazing content coming 😃

so true! im an amateur photographer, and one of my friends whose got a degree and has been in the industry for years asked me to model for her. now im the most camera shy gal there is fosho, and as much as i pose other people i have no idea what to do when it comes to myself. During the entire photoshoot we did she kept reminding me that her directions might feel weird in the moment but look great on camera and i remember being so weary about it. then the actual photos came out and i couldnt believe how actually comfortable and cool i looked in all of em! it really does just take good direction and a good eye to get a solid shot
victoria evans yes def omg I’m the same way! Lol I cannot model for nothing If someone is trying to take pictures of me! But what helped me is I did do some modeling when I was younger 18-21 & worked with some amazing photographers who taught me so much about modeling. Now that I’m a photographer myself Ive learned what they taught me & now able to direct my models :)

Yes! I love this. I would love a series of "non-model" models. Everything from plus sized, man, dark/light/anything skin tones. Most clients aren't models so having a guide to any client type would be amazing.

"Awkward" women are attractive. Great job at giving her instructions. The model also did a good job freeing herself from her inhibitions to the point of doing well at following Jessica's instructions. Great job with her makeup. I think there's a lot of potential with future videos of her in outfits that will match her look...rebel biker leather jacket with strategically torn clothes (leggings, jeans) leather boots or skater look tshirt short shorts flannel shirt wrapped around her waist all while keeping that beautiful makeup, showing of her curves and long silky thick hair. On a final note, it would be a great idea to pair another inexperienced model with an amature photographer. Awesome video!
Omg I've been waiting for this video for soo long. I love the idea to show people that there are no excuses like "I don't have the right equipment for good photos, I don't have a good model and stuff..." And your instructions and comments while shooting are soo funny. "Oh who's there, George Clooney?" lmao 😂😂

this is a weird request but could u do a photo shoot like this with a plus size woman? im not talking an hourglass shape with no belly fat or double chin lol more like apple shape. pear shape, something that its not "ideal" in todays society-,. I would love to see how to pose as a plus size woman . Im plus size myself and i think it would be fun to look at something relatable.. :)

Even though there are moments where Jess is just playing around, every second of this video is gold to a beginning photographer and to an amateur/pro photographer. The way she plays around and is herself relaxes the model, the descriptions and mood she gives them to portray is quality, the angles and settings we learn overtime, and dress and makeup we can give to someone else, but direction… key. Communication… more important than ISO or F/stop

i just found you, and went through some videos and saw this title and needed to watch it. it really touched such a soft spot in my heart because it shows anyone can be a "model". it also made me appreciate the talent some people have, as well as appreciate some peoples natural comfort in front of a lense. you really captured the beauty and thankyou. that's all i can say. thankyou jess :)
I absolutely love these kind of videos where you interact with non-professional models, Jessica! I do senior portraits in town and I always prep myself by watching these videos. It's always encouraging to see that the most important thing is creating a comfortable atmosphere while giving directions to your model.
