yes, although there are many settings and considerations can only be done before you take a photo, photo editing can still change a large scale of the quality of the photos

You know vogue magazine photographers are pretty decent and he just had one shot. Not a bad result I daresay.
Here's one... The model picks the location and has 5 to 10 minutes to direct the photo shoot. The photographer has to comply.
Most models know what they think looks good but many photographers are too stuck in their own vision to consider the models preference. Models are used to being directed but can they direct? We'll se. This can give both the model and the photographer a chance to see the process with new eyes.
It's a good fun one tbh.. But as you know most models want to be directed.. Or in a situation where they direct they do that on the knowledge of how they previous photographer directed them and this make it difficult for the current photographer since they won't have that creative freedom and expression.. So I've experienced... But I always let my models or client have an input that way I learn something new as well

I loved Phil's take on all the photos. He edited them with such a pretty orange saturation. But I also loved Sawyer's photos. The rainbow and colorful editing was everything!

Sawyer's photos were my fav (unfortunately, lol). I would love to see the photos with the photographers' names after each shoot. I also liked in earlier videos where you showed us all four photos on one screen. Another idea would be to show each photographer's collection of four at the end of each video.

I was not trying to be rude either, I just want to see some diversity. I never see any people of color as models at least we got a photographer.
Hi! I promise we didn't purposely skip over this comment, there are a lot and I didn't see this until now. I want to make it very clear that yes, I would LOVE to have a black model for this series. I am ALL about diversity and I have worked with so many different people from all over the world. A lot of the models I work with for my test shoots are ethnically diverse.
But believe it or not, the process of getting a model for these challenges is actually very difficult. When you introduce video/youtube into the mix, then it gets tricky. Different factors such as payments, model releases, scheduling, agencies, availability, etc. can dictate if I can work with someone.
I try my best to get new models for this series (especially ethnically diverse models), but sometimes I just end up having to go with a professional agency model that is most available and able to consent to being in a video like this. Because the challenge is shot for about 4-5 hours and not paid, a lot of girls just can't dedicate that time. Their bookers would rather have them at a casting or at a job, especially if it's paid.
However at times, it's just the simple fact that some models just don't want to be in a challenge like this on video - or their agencies won’t allow them, they don't like the photographers works' involved, can't use it in their portfolio, etc.
I cannot tell you how many black/ethnic models I have reached out to that have not gotten back to me or can’t work with me because of scheduling. It’s just not as easy as one may think. This is absolutely not an excuse, but just how things work in this industry (at least what I've experienced). But I 100% understand the importance of adding more diversity, and I completely agree. There is no argument there, and in my next episode, I will be better about it. If you know of a professional black agency model who lives in LA and can be part of this series, I would LOVE a recommendation and will reach out. Beautiful photos but way too retouched in my opinion. It's obvious that the model's skin has been airbrushed to the point that it looks unnatural.
I really liked Phils. Nice warm tones and really flattering photos. Im wondering how Mark got her skin to look kind of brown in some of them, almost a little muddy and also look like paintings lol. Not bad if you enjoy that style. Still, they all did phenomenal work

I feel like Phil was so insecure about his profession among all his talented peers but for me his and Mark's were the best. Sawyer seemed to think so much of himself but all his angles were off. He looked like his girlfriend asked him to take a fun pic of her while the rest of them seemed more high-end photography. Just my opinion

Rhian Pierre really? I kinda liked Sawyers photos, but i am no professional, so i don’t exactly know whats supposed to be where or whatever. And Sawyer was kinda acting cocky
H e was very cocky lol. Usually the main object of the photo is suppose to be the focus, like Phil's, Jessica's and Mark's in this case the model is the main object. So she stood out in all of their photos however Sawyer's photos were all over the place. The leave and flowers were a huge distraction and he did that annoying blurry effect in almost all the photos which made it appear as though he use a cheap camera. His last photo was his best shot and the rest of their photos were still better. They made her look like a supermodel whereas he did not. I think he needs more classes on how to find a model's best angles. Some photographers don't photograph people but moving object or animals I don't know if that's why his angles were so different from theirs

Wow! What a great model! Hannah is the epitome of what a good model is about, she works with the photographer so damn well, it's hard to imagine there could be better out there. She can create whatever look they want, is vibrant and full of life. Bravo Hannah!
