    Poor little Danielle, she has twisted her ankle, got to hospital, removed her teeth gap, been bullied due to accent, so her win was the least thing judges owed her.

    Probably the most infuriating moment from this episode was when Danielle was at judging and, after she said why she was in the hospital, Nigel called her "high-maintenance." The lack of humanity with the judges on this show was outrageous.

      That's also the same vibe when in later seasons, a deaf model named Nyle has a huge disadvantage to shoot in the dark because not only he has to find his intreperter but also confused of the dark environment. And Tyra called him slipping. I swear those judges probably sharing the same braincells together, they lack of their humanity and awareness.

    I’m Thai and Furonda’s dance was NOT traditional Thai dance at all 😂 The dance moves that were taught were high-class royal court dance patterns which in fact are boring for most of us contemporary Thai. That’s why the audience enjoyed Furonda’s dance, it was improvised and she had fun lol
    But I understand it might upset or even disrespect the dance teacher tho since she’s very proper and conservative.

    If I had to guess, the other girls’ interview segments were 100% led by producers. That’s why Joanie seemed so callous and I can’t imagine that her first thought would actually have been about the panel. I’m imagining the producers being like “do you think Danielle going to the hospital will affect her in judging” and that’s when Joanie responded and he was clipped up like that 🫠

    • @kyrieshark
      @kyrieshark Před 2 měsíci +37

      I was just coming here to say this. The floating head interviews are 100% coached responses. They are asked to basically repeat the question as part of their answer to create a sound clip. I remember a contestant even saying that they would sometimes ask the same question several times, several different ways, to get the response they wanted, or at least something that they could smash together in post to get the answer they were looking for.

    As a nurse and someone who has been so sick that she ended up in the hospital with dehydration, I think these people need to be ashamed of themselves! Dehydration could lead to permanent kidney damage, brain damage, and if left untreated, death! When the ER doc told me that they had to admit me because my kidneys were barely functioning, I knew I was in trouble. I had a horrid case of the stomach flu. I couldn’t keep anything down, not even water, and I had horrific diarrhea. If they have to give you fluids in your veins, you’re very sick! Yes, it can be treated and reversed if caught in time, but it’s not a joke. It’s not about being dramatic or high maintenance, it can literally be a matter of life and death! I’m glad that Danielle is okay, but this really was not responsible of the Tyra, saying that her girls must be present for judging no matter what! BS!

    Okay what I don’t understand is that I am sure that the models sign a contract saying they will not sue if they are injured while filming this show, but you can’t control being sick.
    At this point, they need to just eliminate a girl if she gets sick because they clearly want to if a model being on an IV and oxygen is not enough to allow them to be excused from judging. I don’t understand why producers who are with Danielle filming her in the hospital (which also is that seriously okay with medical privacy laws and all that?) can’t just call Tyra and have the physician speak with Ms Banks to tell her that this model is not going to be present for panel.

  • @catherinegilbert5951

    My money is on they threatened to kick her off the show if she didn't leave the hospital and power through it. Because when Tyra was an aspiring model she dealt with x,y,z illnesses/problems and she still showed up and gave it her all... Blah blah blah 🙄 I can't recall if they roasted poor Danielle for missing the challenge. But they really don't care if you're sick because if they gave a model time off that would give them an unfair advantage against the other girls 😤.

    That was a stretcher - stretchers have wheels regular hospital beds usually have wheels, too but they’re a lot bigger and hospital beds don’t have the ability to collapse the legs beneath them to go into an ambulance without having a ramp or anything. They have to use ramps for hospital beds. The stretchers are easier to steer and transport than the entire bed. Usually you see stretchers, if it’s a bed on wheels it’s fine to call it a stretcher.

      Seemed fake to me, the crying, the logistical nightmare of filming her curled up on a hospital bed, in hospital, getting up to leave etc…… there’s both real about reality tv!! And how does this girl get around copyright? The editing, the script, the background, all professionally done……. Everything we see is produced by someone much higher. If this girl had this much talent she certainly wouldn’t be on yt!! It’s a con, there’s absolutely nothing real about any reality tv, including this!! This was produced

Even the Great British Baking Show does that if a contestant is sick these days. But the fact that she’s so concerned about getting back to the competition instead of focusing on her health is concerning. Tyra should step in and tell her that she needs to go back to the hospital and that it’s OK for her to focus on herself. Unfortunately, she would be pulled from competition, but that’s not what’s important right now. She needs to work on getting better.

    Unfortunately, I think this is just par for the course in the entertainment industry. I have heard so many actors in interviews talking about shooting scenes with a high fever, a migraine where they had to puke between takes, or an injury that later required stitches or a cast. This is an industry that cares zero for people, hence the recent strike.
