In Minnesota Starvation Experiment the study showed that High Carbohydrate diet with calorie restriction was considered a form of torture. Exercise on high carb calorie restriction will cause you to lose weight at first then rebound and gain more weight as your metabolism adjusts to the starvation and exercise.

My A1C is at 6.3. I can't afford test strips for daily testing! My doctor gave me a glucose meter with 15 strips. My blood sugar was usually high (125 after fasting). I stopped rice, red meat, limited potatoes (!!!!), and only have a few sips of Coke (for the caffeine headaches) daily. I WAS drinking ONLY Coke . . . ALL DAY!!! I now have the few sips of coke in the am and drink ONLY water!!! With those 15 free test strips, my blood sugar has been as low as 108 AFTER EATING!!!! YAY!! Can't really do much walking as I had a hip transplant and it's still healing! I think the change in diet and drinking mostly water all day is working!!! I'll have A1C checked again in April! Wish me luck!!!! SO GLAD I HAVE NO SWEET TOOTH SO NO SUGARY FOODS AT ALL!

You should have limited red meat maybe two oz twice a week and no potatoes , bread or rice. Your problems are not proteins your problems are the high consumption of carbs. Instead have some meat or fish with a plate of broccoli/ etc. and throw one that olive oil. Do a blood sugar test after that meal. You will see the difference. Try to do a day where you consume no more then 30 to 50 grams of carbs. Did you know that you can have 3 plates of cruciferous veggies and you still wonโ€™t get to 30 grams of carbs. Test your fasting blood sugar the next day and you will see you fasting blood sugar drop.

I commented on an earlier video that the advanced glucose support wasn't working as well. It's back to working again. Only one high at 167 with the lowest at 79 two hours after eating. I did some further research after the 167 and drink a large glass of water with lemon juice with the meal. My fasting this morning was 116 which isn't great but is considered pre- diabetic being that fasting diabetic is above 126. Since May 31 I have an average of 117 after meals and 114 fasting. I stopped Metformin and am having better results.

At times I get that munchie-craving and want to snack. But, I have lost some weight. But my blood sugar seems to stay at 200-250. And the bad thing, I think it could be is my Anxiety. I get anxiety and it does play some major role in my blood sugar. I just started insulin the last week of December, but I haven't seen any changes yet, yes, I'm on medication too. Metformin, Januvia and lisinopril and Atorvastatin.

sound like you have a severe B1 deficiency, try taking a fat soluble form called benfotiamine. It crosses the blood brain barrier and protects you from the damages of High blood sugar.A diabetic excrete 25x more than a non diabetic.Take nutritional yeast to keep your B vit in balance.OF course intermittent fasting would help tremendously.

I had no idea how protein would elevate my BG when I ate large portions. I do not have the opportunity to work with a doctor or endocrinologist that is passionate about diabetes. So I have to sift the pepper from the fly sh!t on the internet. This is the best medical educational channel, but others contribute knowledge. And when you live in a underserved rural area you have to dig for information. Being a 63 yo man in a community with three doctors and all are Family Medicine/OB GYN who see 75 women to men its hard to get information. So don't put down those who put out content.
