Amazing job so far! I love how you improved the frame-rate animation of Godzilla and Mothra's attacks, and the new levels starting from Pathos to Zenith are VERY well done! Also love the ominous music choice for the "RUN" stages! I look forward to more WIP videos of this in the future!

The cool thing about creating the game from scratch is that you can fix some issues that the NES version had (like the graphical glitches and lags).

Really... amazing! Several Creepypasta attempts have come and gone, but THIS looks to not only be the best-looking, but also most faithful. The feeling of terror in the last minute, that's not something you get from even modern games anymore. Best of luck! (=
Yeah, I saw some of the fan game projects of this creepypasta, and I was a bit dissapointed because they were driving their projects into different directions (even using 3D graphics for the game). I honestly prefer not only following the history, but the game design/play as well.

I just wanted to say a fact that Zenith's theme is pretty much DOOM 2's Icon of sin/Opening to hell theme also known "Woo - eee - woo - oooh!", making the athmosphere of the level more intense.
What I love the most about this is that you give heart to this and not giving something "new" like how most people will just put 3D graphics or Dubstep in this.

I'm really curious how the Red Battle is going to stay true to it's story version. Yes we can't feel pain, but I'm curious as how difficult Red will be and if it IS possible to defeat his true form as Godzilla, Mothra, Anguris or Solomon without needing Acaius.
I wonder if Red might be an unlockable character, as well.

I very much like how you've derailed ever-so-slightly from the original story to make it more detailed and interesting. I especially like the fire in Red's stage. That ACTUALLY looks like something the NES could do.

Oh, wow. This is amazing work! I've never seen such a perfect representation of a creepypasta game. I guess the screenshots helped you get some reference, but man, good luck with the game! I do hope to play it and get my scares when you're done.
True, true. This one DOES have a lot more effort put into it, in my opinion. Besides, it doesn't look like this one relies on cheap jumpscares, more the simple creepiness factor.
The creator of the Creepypasta is helping them with Sprite work after all.
I just wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation of this work -- as well as my respect for you for undertaking this project. I am a fan of the original story and have read it through a number of times, as I find the narrative and accompanying artwork engaging. From what I have seen here, it looks like you are more than capable of providing a very compelling gaming experience with this.
In particular, you impress with the scenes shown in the last minute of the video -- with Face and Red. You do a good job of conveying the dark and unsettling tone one would expect in those scenes.
It is my great hope that you will continue to make progress with this game and develop it to completion, though I also understand that life happens. If you don't get around to it, no judgment from me. If you do get to continue with it, know that I -- like many others commenting here -- are rooting for you.
Regardless, you are a credit to the game development community, and I wish you much luck and success! :-)
The music at the end is scary yet so dope I love it. Please don't give up on this a lot of people are rooting for you to finish this would be the greatest creepypasta game ever.
Seeing the scenes fully animated is great and specificly the stuff at end really captures the creepy pasta vibe.

I have a suggestion: During the chase sequences, you could have the music shift in pitch as Red would get closer. It would build tension and pressure significantly.

When I was much younger, I was scarred practically to death by the Godzilla NES Creepypasta. I was 6 then and Red tormented my nightmares for about 3 months. When I got older, I couldn't help but look the creepypasta up and watch it again for closure. Today, it is my first favorite creepypasta ever. Now, to see everything in an actual game, the quizzes, the tumorous orange eyes in that level, just seeing the weird horse bats warms my heart. Red is animated so well in the chase level, and the only thing that saddens me is that we were never presented with game play of Anguirus, but it is understandable as the game is still early in development. So far, you're doing my favorite creepypasta good, and I thank you for it! =D

I especially appreciate how you're trying to be more faithful to NES limitations than even the original story's screens and details (especially in keeping the resolution and graphics consistent; I noticed that on the Quiz levels). Paired with your planned CRT filter... *drool* This DEFINITELY looks far more promising than the other projects I've seen.

I know your working off Cosbydafs designs in the Creepypasta but even so incorporating that into such detailed art design and to have run so fluidly is sincerely amazing buddy. =) It's really nice seeing someone take inspiration and run with it buddy.
This is impeccable work! Lists of incredible detail and effort has gone into this. I'm especially impressed with the work done with the kaiju glitches in the beginning as well as face's horrible demise (quite! I will even go as far as saying that alone was even scarier than the original!). Once again this is an incredible job well done.

Also one thing I'm wondering. How will the player outrun Red? Since the original game doesn't have a run button and it seems Red runs alot faster than the player.

ya fixed everything the creepypasta had wrong in the screenshots of it! cuz pixel proportion on those was really tiny and didnt looked right with the original sprites, and ya fixed it, now it indeed looks like an actual NES game! great job, keep it going!

If I may make a suggestion:
Since the code for this game already looks perfectly serviceable and functional, would it be possible to perhaps bundle in a straight remake of the original (no creepypasta'd out) Monster of Monsters as like a bonus for beating Red in the end? It would extend the life of the game by a little bit, imo.
It's actually a very good idea you proposed, but I don't know if he'll put it in.

The movement animation of Red isn't really unsettling enough, or atleast so I'd say. It's a bit too skippy. I would probably make his sprite's animation a bit more fluid, slower and purposeful.
