Letting all the ads play during the video also helps a tiny bit too.
Thanks!!

Excellent instructional video. You guys are the best!
Wow, thanks!
Another awesome video. I ordered the same bulbs and they arrived today. I also ordered the led headlight bulbs from the same company so I should wind up with better lighting all the way around.

another fantastic detailed video
Thank you.
thansk for the video man, super helpful!!
Thank you
Just completed this upgrade yesterday to my new to me 96 F350. This video was a huge help in getting that task accomplished. I did the ac control panel as well.
That’s great. It’s a great upgrade
How did you do the AC control panel?
This channel has a video on removing the AC control panel to fix broken mounts, I had watched that video also. There's 3 bulbs in the back of that panel. The led bulbs make a nice difference.
First time viewer, thanks so much bro, much appreciated
No problem 👍
Nice video. Thank you. Happy Thanksgiving
Right back at you!!!
Just opened utube and found something to try out on my Bronco hehe great video

Awesome vid

very good video greetings from Veracruz Mexico
Thank you !!
Thanks!
Thank you!!!
Thank you
No problem.
The best one I have seen change my blubls right side didn't light up is there a fuss I need to change thanks for the vido
Just seeing this. Pull the bulb holder, rotate it 180 degrees. Make sure the little copper feet are on the circuit.
On the shift indicator, is there a small dial for adjusting it on the cluster? My indicator does not line up properly with my clusters positions and Im wondering if thats the fix. Thanks for the vid!
Of that doesn’t help, on bottom of your column, near the knuckle, there are 3 gold torx bits. T30? Maybe. Tighten them all. Problem solved
Don’t forget to subscribe for more content!!
also a good idea to leave a regular bulb in the battery light spot. i hear that its could mess with the exciter on the alternator.
Only on 1996 models. They have that batt circuit.
@@BroncosandPartsGaragewhat about 1997? I got a 97 f250hd with the power stroke.. should I leave the battery light stock?
Thank you for mentioning this as I have a 1996 and would have replaced that bulb if I did not see this.
I just got a 91 Bronco, Automatic, 4wd, 302 and this video was very helpful, Half my dash lights weren't working, disassembled the dash to find the printed circuit board has a tear, i see i can order a new one but not sure how to replace? Any pointers? Thank you!
I sell the printed boards. Email me
Detroit ✊️✊️
Hell yeah
Haven't actually seen anyone dim the LEDs after install need that feature working for long distance night drives
Led bulbs do dim.
Have a 1990 F-150 manual drive ( floor shift ) with bad water temp gauge. My cluster has no shift markings. On ebay all clusters for my make & year have shift markings with cable. Do you think there would be an issue if replaced mine with a cluster with the shifter markers and cable? Thanks for video and tips for LED bulbs. Great job.
No. Two 5.5mm screws and the indicator comes out. I sell the clusters for $95
Hello, looking to do this on my 95 F-150. I followed the link to tue light bulbs. There are so many color options. What is the specific color I need to look like your ? I saw different white options and amber colors on the website . Thanks
White/ clear.
Great video! What are the 6 lower warning lights? Have you tried them all for such noise? Thanks again!
The 4WD, turn signal, check engine ect ect. The bulbs that do NOt Lightbupnthe actual gauges.
Can you remove the plastic cover with the hood screws to clean around the gauges? Mines pretty dusty and I don’t want to damage anything!
Yes. T20 takes those screws out
I think with one package of 10 is enough, you just need to replace the ILL bulbs (5). I don't know if someone else have the same issue, I had ABS flashing after LED change. I removed the LED from ABS, installed the old bulb and stopped flashing so I removed all LED replaced except the ILL. You can use the rest (5) for the AC controls and save for spare with one box.
I don’t replace the bottom 6. We mention in video too.
@@BroncosandPartsGarage Just replace the 5 ILL and that's all you need. You also replaced the other warning bulbs in the middle. You can use the rest (5) for the AC controls and save for spare with one box. Sorry, I'm cheap lol, adapted to Brandon's inflation lol.
Wow great video where can I find that gauge cluster and led lites for my 97 Ford F-150 2wd👍
I sell them. Email me
So I replaced all 11 bulbs, and now only the six at the bottom work (didn’t swap those out as instructed)
Tried unplugging everything and back in. Could it be a bad fuse ?
Remove each led bulb that’s out, turn them 180 degrees and re install. Check the metal tabs on the bulbs are making proper contact. What brand bulbs?
Great video! Referring to the shift lever pin, the pin is visible in the cluster but is not accurate when shifting into gear, any clue on how to fix? 94 ford bronco xlt
Two things. There are three gold torx screws at the bottom of your steering column (by the universal joint). Make sure those are TIGHT. Then you can you can check the indicator cable (it’s discussed in this video) it’s the small cable that is removed from the lower right side of the column. On it, there is a small wheel, you can spin this to adjust where the needle lines up in the cluster.
@@BroncosandPartsGarage thank you for the reply.
Nice video!
Question: did you use all the same color LED’s?
Thanks. I always use white LED. I like the natural color of the gauges. You can remove the “coloring” on the gauge faces and then use other LED bulbs. These bulbs work in your hvac control until and your door courtesy lights.
So my Check Engine light went out and caused me to fail smog. Can I just reach under and change it and not have to take cluster all the way out? Dont use LED for that light correct? Man love your videos.
Full removal. Search my videos. I made a bezel and cluster removal video. Thx
Like your videos! I have a question: the little cable for the gear selection indicator.. Should there be tension on the cable when disconnected? So when you pull on it, it gets pulled back? Or should it just easily move back and forth?
There should be a small metal tension spring behind the actual dial. It should “spring” back when pulled.
I found it. Lucky though, it was tiny. Almost got carried away until someone pointed out that it only took two screws in the bottom to get it out.
I am having an issue now where my indicator is a little off and the transmission won't actually shift now but will go through the gear selections on the shift indicator. I got a small grind sound when putting the selector back into park after adjusting the dial on the selector cable.
Can I do this with my Ford F-150 1980 ? Or is it a different bulb style for that year?
Dash yes. Turn/brake signals, no
Great job with the instructions! With the LEDs installed, are you still able to dim the dashlights? Or do they remain at constant brightness?
Fully dimmable
@@BroncosandPartsGarage thanks for answering!
Great video, have you ever tried white face Gauge Clusters?
I know guys have “scraped” off the green and made them white. I like it matching my hvac controls.
I have a 1996. Is the battery light on of the six on the bottom that we are not suppose to replace? Or is it in a different location? Thanks for all the great videos I wouldn't be doing half this stuff without them!
Also the bulbs are on Prime day for $13.59
I don’t replace the bottom six that are in the warning light area. I’ve had issues with other systems.
Do those LEDs Dim or are they alwasy bright? I usually turn my lights down until it's just bright enough to see the instruments. I've never liked a lot of light shining back in my face at night when I'm driving.
They are still dimmable with your Dimmer switch
@@BroncosandPartsGarage Awesome. Thanks.
Yeah my right side is very dark. I need to do this bad
It’s a great, easy and inexpensive upgrade.
Are all the lights the same size in a Obs Ford? Climate control, stereo etc?
yes, but don't swap the airbag bulbs. links in video description
Wonder Where the speedometer and tach cable attach?
On the 5th Gen Broncos, there is no speedo cable. 4th Gen Broncos were the last to have a speedo cable.
👍
Thx
Do you put dielectric on the plugs? if not, why not...other than you may not be doing this for another 25 years, if ever.
I do not. It’s a very dry area behind the dash. Dusty but dry.
I’m guessing these same instructions can be followed in a Gen 3? Maybe a little different but I can’t imagine they’re THAT different
Yes. Very similar. Just different bezel. Some hidden screws and You’ll need to unplug your speedometer cable from the back of your gauge cluster
@@BroncosandPartsGarage awesome, thank you! I’m still a good ways away from interior work but I will be referring to so many of your videos when the time comes
Any issues with the LEDs after some time has passed?
Mine are still working. Dimming still works. Been over a year
1994 f150 where is the bulb location for high and low beam on the cluster
Below the vertical plug, on tach side of cluster
@@BroncosandPartsGarage thank you so much
would this work on an 89 bronco?
Yes
After changing the bulbs to LED the ABS light kept flashing. After pulling the cluster out five times to clean contacts I changed the ABS back to a standard bulb and problem solved
I’m glad you figured that out. It’s covered in the video that we don’t replace the warning light bulbs on the bottom.
@@BroncosandPartsGarage The ABS bulb was one of the eleven , not the bottom six. Its was the fourth one down , outside edge. right side, from the top of the cluster. Might have been a fluke on my cluster but thought you would like to know. I think your videos are great. Thanks for taking the time to make them
@@robertdrown7226 95 Bronco with the same issue. Been looking everywhere for an answer.
Do you know how to fix the temperature gauge?
Check your actual sending unit on engine first. If it’s ok, just swap the temp guage in your cluster. We sell them
@@BroncosandPartsGarage can’t seem to find them on the website for a 95 bronco.
Does the dimmer still work with the LEDs?
Yes. Perfectly.
@@BroncosandPartsGarage any reason why you don't do the bottom leds?
Why is it that you leave regular bulbs In the lower lights?
The turn signals are ok. But on 94+ you’ll have issues with your airbag module by switching to LED. It’s not a 100% issue, but it arises often enough to skip swapping.
@BroncosandPartsGarage so pre 94 shouldn't have any issues with that? Mines a 92
Why do you leave those bulbs? Why not replace all?
They cause errors in airbag warning. So it just my practice to avoid.
Led Bulbs For Sale
amzn.to/3lw7deR
Why don't you put LEDs for the idiot lights?
The resistance is different. The bulbs won’t work properly and you’ll get an odd alarm sound for your airbag light.
@@BroncosandPartsGarage wow. Learn something new everyday
@@BroncosandPartsGarage do you know if it’s just the airbag and abs, or is it all of them? Do you have a link I could read more?y research is coming up dry. Thanks!
You don't need to take all that apart to change the dash lights. You don't even have to take it out
Are you serious? lol. Read the title of the video 😂😂😂😂👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
@@BroncosandPartsGarage yeah I got it bro! But you don't need to remove the gage cluster to change out the lights! You don't have to disconnect the shifter!
So if all your doing is upgrading or replacing cluster lights he just made it more difficult and longer.
There's already videos on CZcams that shows you how.
@@BroncosandPartsGarage and frankly after doing this job I would rather leave the cluster in and take the lens off for access. The gauges themselves are easier to remove then disconnecting the plugs from the back of the cluster. They are harder to get apart and therefore more chances of breaking the plug.
Thank you for watching mine.
Take the lens off? lol. You obviously have not swapped bulbs. You can do it your way?!? Or the proper way. Thank you for watching and helping my algorithm.
I Chris im looking for some in interior parts for my 96 bronco , do you have a email or whats the best way to reach you. Thank you and i love your videos
Email is in the video description. Just load, click on title and it will appear. Thanks
Just when I think my list of stuff I want/need to do is complete, I stumble across videos like this and my list gets longer. 🥲👌🏼
You can do it!
