I like how you're giving these entrepreneurs exposure. I also think that it's great you made it clear in previous videos that you're not turning this channel into a platform for advertisements. I can't speak for everyone but I appreciate the transparency. I love seeing people hustle and trying to make it with their own creative projects. Its fucking inspiring.

This looks like a terrific idea! Good on you, Winston, for giving him some exposure. Get this guy on Kickstarter so he can raise some money to take his camera from prototype stage to full scale production.

Let me raise my hand as one of Jason's early backers. From Winston I learned of Naomi and from Naomi the Very Sexy Cyborg I learned of Jason. I saw the value of his concept just thinking of how it would change the CZcams producers process.
Small, easy to carry, stability... Proud to be a supporter! Important to hit a home run Jason, don't rush it out the door just to meet a date.
Yeah, he obviously needs no money for prototyping, he just needs the funds for production/software development. The hardware is all there, all the groundwork laid, just time to impliment and refine. You never see prototypes that far along in development unless they're just about ready for market.

Adam, you've hit the nail on the head. Winston's drone footage (not gratuitous!), in addition to his ambience shots whilst he is passing through a district, are real bonuses, and they show people who might never be able to go there what life in China is like for the local people.
The shots should be welcomed by Chinese viewers, because they tell the truth, not propaganda, and they almost always give a really positive insight into the richness of their land and culture.
The low-life and scam artists are shown too, but they exist almost anywhere in the world, and those shots serve as warnings to people about what to avoid if visiting that fascinating part of Asia.
I'll never be able to visit; I'm too unwell for that, so these videos are welcome.

Great idea. I'm one of these guys who tapes magnifying glasses on my phone to get macro shots of things, and always thought there should be simple, practical, options for video accessories.

I am an Idolcam backer, and I think this is the most innovative design I have ever seen, specifically for vloggers like you and me. Hats off to Founder, Jason Lam, for incorporating just about every possible concept that the rest of us have had to use DIY multi-accessory setups just to do what this single device can do (in theory).

That is a terrific idea. One thing I did notice however, was that the fill light is a bit weak. I'm sure it can be easily corrected.

I really enjoy these videos, they are a nice compliment to your content. I really appreciate the great new ideas you are coming across. Really hoping this becomes a product that we can buy. It looks like it would be awesome for travel as far as size, not having to worry about throwing it in a carry on. Myself, as a solo female traveler the fact it might not draw as much attention as something flashier or more expensive is also a huge plus.
