Ours is in a great big pot outside, mind you, I think it's got it roots in the ground now. It's been fine outside, even in the freezing December of last year when we lost cacti in the greenhouse. Got loads of figs this year 😎😎🌵🌵
You should experiment with there cousins mulberries Pakistan mulberries might be hardy there and morus nigra mulberries are suppose to be zone 7 or 8 like figs and need dry climates but you should with thoes experiment with varieties in your area they grow sweet long fruit especially morus macroura Pakistan and Himalayan mulberries.
Interesting! I've never seen figs at Walmart here in Cincinnati but they always had Chicago hardy fig trees at Walmart when I lived in Kentucky years ago.
@@cincytropics I picked out two that I thought had different leaf shapes. The one has a very different leaf shape without the big deep lobes you often see on figs. Have you ever tried any types of hardy citrus or the Crown Jewel Gardenia?

Great video! Ours here got knocked back to the ground in the 2014 freeze, but one has grown back to 25 feet since. Yours looks good!
Thank you so much!
It's a shame when they get knocked back
@@cincytropics It definitely is, they have to start over from scratch. Took mine 6 years to start producing the same quantity of figs as before.
Very informative video! I'm growing figs for the 1st time this year. An Olympic and Chicago Hardy. Fingers crossed!
Thanks for watching!
If my Olympian does produce next year, I'm going to dig it out and replace it with a florea fig
@@cincytropics nice, you have a great collection! Keep us updated!
Will do! Thanks for watching!

I got two more from walmart, but no idea what type. They just called them assorted.

Yes! I have a hardy orange in my yard. My friend has tried all the supposed hardy gardenias. He lost a crown jewel garden at 9 degrees Fahrenheit
