    Very eye opening! The lantana, rosemary, Opuntia e. linguiformis, and pineapple guava literally blew my mind. Some of those plants would almost be considered zone pushes here in zone 7. Pineapple guavas can usually only be grown in the most protected of locations in a dry zone 7, and would probably still need minor protection here every 10 years or so - so that is pretty incredible what she is getting away with. This makes me want to try a lot more 8b + plants here in 7b, you never know what will work. Thanks so much for sharing!

    Impressive indeed! I'm in 6a SE Ohio. USDA updated zone map recently, but I don't think my area changed. I would try a needle palm, but I'm not a fan of the "needles". This persons garden is so fascinating I would enjoy talking with them I'm sure.

    Im in zone 7a Virginia near dc and i have some cold hardy citrus and pineapple guavas
