    • @frodothehobo9938
      @frodothehobo9938 Před 6 lety +38

      so do it. bodybuilding is boring as shit man, it's all subjective and politics anyway, women don't think being 5% bodyfat is attractive. you're just dancing around on stage oiled up in a thong while being at your weakest. strongman and powerlifting is objective. strength is strength, theirs pure numbers involved. and it's way cooler. would you rather hit a double bicep pose or flip a motherfucking 600lb tire and put 300lbs over your head.

    • @carlosq1020
      @carlosq1020 Před 6 lety +18

      I find that carrying about my strength feels so much better than how I look. I used to do bro splits, but I switched to powerlifting and I'm obsessed. Nothing feels better than when your lifts progress.

      Bodybuilding is fucking stupid

    • @HeyItsJoe1
      @HeyItsJoe1 Před 6 lety +13

      frodo the hobo this is completely subjective, im no bodybuilder but why trash on it. Doesnt make sense to rag on something like body building when some people could say the same about powerlifting. Like at the end of the day me telling people i can deadlift so and so weight doesnt mean much to most people. Just do what ever it is you like to do

    • @frodothehobo9938
      @frodothehobo9938 Před 6 lety +4

      meaning something to other people wasn't at all my point, strength sports aren't subjective, that's not what subjective means, subjective means it is open to interpretation, if you can deadlift 315lbs and i can deadlift 500lbs, i am stronger than you at the deadlift. that's just a fact, theirs no debating that. bodybuilding is always subjective, theirs no definitive method of scoring, it's all a beauty contest, and beauty is subjective.

    So cool! Im proud of you Alan, about the issue in comercial gyms, this happens a lot here in Brazil, I suffer with this situation every single week. Personal Trainers be like, "dont push too hard, this is not a crossfit gym" (here we dont have yet strongman gyms, but, since 2014 when I started watching your videos, I realized that was gonna be my lifestyle for now on so.... In brazil or you go to Crossfit super expensive or you go to comercial gym, cheaper but, the personals trainers dont understand your goals) they got all mad just because I squat looking down, "HEY ! DONT LOOK DOWN WHILE SQUATING, U BACK NEED TO BE STRAIGHT, THATS WRONG, BLA BLA BLA"... anyway... I feel you when you said that comercial gym got all mad with strongman workouts! Keep the hard work, maybe one day I will make your guys a visit at Sacramento, work out, learn a ton of stuff and train UNTAMED ! :D˜
