Thanks Rick!!👍🏻👍🏻
Another great build .as always .
Thanks!!👍🏻👍🏻
Interesting the way you do your distributor. I've been lots of conversations with people. I agree with you. Panel lines makes a Huge Difference!!!! Your GTX looks Great!!! Nice Work!!! It is a great kit!!!
Thanks Michael!!👍🏻👍🏻
Great job as always Matt , I noticed when I first started watching your videos that you did your panel lines and your right it makes your models pop just like doing the wheels and the grill. .thanks for another awesome video.
Thanks my friend!!👍🏻👍🏻
Nice build
Thanks Jeff!!👍🏻👍🏻
Good looking GTX!
Thanks!!👍🏻👍🏻
Thx for idea with water base paint for doors and hood!! Excellent!! Great idea!! I did this car in Arctic Blue Great kit!! Nice work Amigo!!

Thanks Samuel!!👍🏻👍🏻
Very nice 🤘
Thanks Neal!!👍🏻👍🏻
Looks awesome
Thanks Hillbilly72!!👍🏻👍🏻
Well done...especially liked the tyre package (note correct way to spell tyre)...
Lol!! Thanks!!👍🏻👍🏻
I can't drill out the distributor either,,, try this, super glue the end of the wires between the posts and then glue a round piece of plastic on top of the distributor wires, after paint it looks like a aftermarket distributor wire hold down plate,,, soooo much easier
Cool!!
Who cares what other people think. It’s your model, build it how you want. Looks great. FYI, instead of spraying the CA setting, I put I tiny bit in a cup and use a toothpick and dab it on the glue area. I hate the way it’s kind of greasy. Great point on using acrylic for panel lining. I had one were it kind of stained. Thanks.👍
Thanks!!👍🏻👍🏻
Nice ! Have been building model s since 1969 lol , i always preferred AMT . Back in a day , they gave you 2 sets of wheels and tires ,or more . Gave you 2 engines + extra custom parts . I still build today and first choice for me is , still looking for a model with extra engine’s
She's a beauty, wiring the engine really makes it look so realistic under the hood. Your idea for highlighting the door lines and trunk lines is an amazing idea, your right it really makes the model pop. Your channel and Chris at Hipguys are my favorite modeling channels. You both are always so positive and have a great sense of humor. Enjoy your builds so much, looking forward to your next model.
Thanks Harold!!👍🏻👍🏻
Loved it.
Thanks Jim!!👍🏻👍🏻
Nice build. Loved the tip for making the black wash.
Thanks Michael!!👍🏻👍🏻
Nice mate👍
Thanks!!👍🏻👍🏻
Fantastic GTX. Love the complete build. Ron
Thanks Ron!!👍🏻👍🏻
Great video... Don't worry about the distributor, I do it the same way you do. The drilled out holes seem to run together which makes the look worse in my opinion. Take care TCWAGS 👍😎
Thanks TCWAGS!!👍🏻👍🏻
Another awesome build, I tried your trick with the plug wires turned out great l chew my nails too got that off my mum
Thanks Al!!👍🏻👍🏻
Lol I'm 45 now but when I started to build models I was probably @9 or so. None of my friends that where building models with me never got into the extra details when doing models. I always tried to add that extra detail to models to make them stick out because I'm always paying extra attention to that when looking at the finished model. Anyways I never thought of using thin wires for the spark plug wires because that wouldve made it look better and be easier then the way I did it. I used to take my moms sewing string and use that. It was a pain to use string, what I did was use a flat clear coat spray paint to get try to stiffen the string up so it was easier to work with but it was so hard to work with the string. Using the wire is alot easier compared to string , and the finished product looks better as well
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Now that is sweet! I have same kit, not started yet but my plan is to make Richard Petty car, I have studied pics on internet and that car body is worked quite a bit compared to stock. Wish me luck lol
Thanks and good luck Asko!!👍🏻👍🏻
Very nice build, that yellow sure makes it look really good!
Thanks Leo!!👍🏻👍🏻
Superb detailing!!.. She looks great!
Thanks Thomas!!👍🏻👍🏻
I know most car modeler already know this but......when drilling individual holes in the distributer, we all use a pin vise and jewelers bits which can be challenging to say the least. I hate when the bit crosses over into the next hole. ANYWAY, how I try to illuminate this is , I set up a pen type butane torch, clamp it on my work bench, and heat up a VERY fine pointy sewing needle and make starterholes in the distributer.
Now when I use my pin vise, I now have starter holes that are less likely going to travel to the next hole and mess everything up.
Its NOT a perfect method, but it does work. Like Matt kind of mentions, most car model builders are not going to install sparkplug wires. I pick and choose what kits will get them . When doing a custom street rod,I will definitely install wires. When it is a bone stock car build, I have less likelihood of putting in that extra effort.
I am by myself, I never have company to show off my 3D Art, nor do I go to shows/ car model contests , so why am I going thee extra mile on every single kit ? Especially when you know ahead of time your building a kit that has alot of issues .
NEW WAY ! I will save my efforts for Foose type kits or similar.Mobius kits are a lock. They will be build with as much detail as I possibly can.
I have an old Revell Rick Dobbertons J-2000 Kit.This kit was crazy popular when it came out. This model,
"If"......I build it, I will spare no detail .
This puppy WILL BE tricked out with everything imaginable. This kit will have its own display case too. Anyway,
I hope I'm not boring anyone reading my comments? For Matt, I have a great idea for you if you wanna make money and help your channel grow. Sell T-shirts that say
"Make Scale Car Model Building GREAT
AGAIN" ! Add car model manufacturers logo's on the shirts.
Maybe show a picture of father and son,or your case, father and daughter , sharing quality time together. SOMETHING LIKE THAT LOL !
I would definitely buy a T-shirt 👕 !
😎👍
Sounds awesome!! Thanks
@@modelcarvideos5829 God Bless brother.
I'm always excited to get a new video from you when it comes out!!!!
Thanks!!👍🏻👍🏻
That's cool
👍🏻👍🏻
Did you use the metal foil on the side emblems ? If you did could you do a video on how you do that please. Like the Plymouth across the hood just above the grill turned out amazing and I would love to see how you get the finished product to look so amazing. Thank you
Turned out great... well done build on 👍
Thanks!!👍🏻👍🏻
Very nice. Good job. thanks for sharing. Don't know if it is camera lens but the plug wires look a tad too thick. Plug wires should be 28 to 30 gauge with the insulation measured, not the just the wire. Again looks good, subscribed.
Great looking GTX...can't wait to get into mine.
I do my plugs in similar fashion but scratch the distributor. Which are pinned all the way through the block. Again Great job. Got ya sub'd.
Oh...btw mopar engine bays are body color.
Thanks!!👍🏻👍🏻
Love The GTX Sir, She's a Keeper for Sure, have a Blessed Week.
Thanks Gary same to you!!👍🏻👍🏻
You're Welcome n T Y Back
I have this kit in my stash. Your build is going to inspire me. I can imagine your mom when you lost the the tip of the finger on the bike chain. When I was a kid I spilled a cup ful of hot milk and coffee on my... well, you know what I mean. My mom got very desperate. After some oitment the pain subsided. Obviously nothing to compare with your accident.
superbe bravo
Thanks Dominique!!👍🏻👍🏻
Love the build, it's on my wish list. Like the door seems tutorial, gonna have to experiment!! Thanks!!! And thanks for sharing!!
Thanks Chris!!👍🏻👍🏻
👍👍...... A thousand likes .......
Thanks!!👍🏻👍🏻
That looks Great !!!
Thanks Mike!!👍🏻👍🏻
Nice build. I really don't like to be critical but I assume you do this as a tutorial and want to be as accurate as possible. The radiator support and firewall on Mopars are supposed to be body color and not black unless the car is black. Minor, I know but it could cost points if it were entered in a contest. Best wishes and keep building.
I built this kit it has a lot of cool detail chrome door handles even a hood emblem.
Very nice build! You can also scribe the panel lines deeper to help realism. I usually do the panel line wash before clear to seal and protect the shadow. Your right, the Tamiya stuff can be tricky to get off without ruining the paint. I use a dab of mineral spirits on a Qtip to remove it.
Fix that front bumper
GREAT JOB, LOVE IT just love watching your videos the color come out great and I think I'll be getting one I enjoyed it 👍🇺🇸
Thanks Louis!!👍🏻👍🏻
Certainly is a beautiful looking car your attention to detail if amazing I love the hood (bonnet as we say in the UK) ornament which I reckon I would loose during the build to the carpet monster I commend your choice of finish colour great colour choice 👍 in your closing sequence there is a burgundy red car please tell me what it is it looks great 🍺🍺🍺🕊✌🏻
Thanks!!👍🏻👍🏻I think it's the Oldsmobile 442
I really enjoy watching your builds
I noticed you unboxed a quadzilla I have a build in a small diorama I did many years ago when it first came out if you’re interested I can shoot you some pictures?
servosandstuff@yahoo.com
Looks excellent! I’ve been thinking about getting this kit...🤔. Thanks for sharing your tips on panel lining. It does add realism in my opinion too. Keep doing what you do...I’m subbed and can’t wait to see more! 😎👍🏾
Thanks Clifton!!👍🏻👍🏻
When using the superglue setting solution, just unscrew the cap and use the pickup straw to place a small drop of solution where you want it. Save solution and your paint.
I remember some old Monogram NASCAR kits came with the distibutor and plug wires molded in one piece with the plug wires cut to appropriate length. Be nice if they still did that.
Just a point of clarification:
Is 'round little wad' the mechanical or geometrical term for the desired distributor cap plug wire configuration?🧐
(😉another flawless build my friend...)
😅😅😅😅😅
Hey Matthew very nice build. I'm jealous. I thought that I had sent you a note before regarding the kicker (accelerant). The spray function is I'll suited for most modeling. I find that it's best just to keep a testors paint bottle full of the kicker and apply it with a micro brush precisely where it's needed. No fuss, no muss.
Thanks, I'll have to try that!
Nice! I've got that same model. Painted the body a week or so ago but I think it's too bright a shade of yellow so I bought a can of a lighter shade. I'll get to it sometime.
Good job on the detail car looks great I'm sure you know this but just in case you don't you can use Modge Podge for your front and rear glass then Testors Window Maker Glue then also Elmer's Glue it also dries clear.
Thanks James!!👍🏻👍🏻
Great video Matt.....i to use acrylic on my body lines & grills...way nicer & cleaner then panel liner...did you BMF the Belvedere emblem then acrylic wash it?
Simple question, but what did you use to de-chrome the valve covers?
Purple power
Thanks, working on this kit currently.
how do you take the chrome off
A bath of purple power over night.
Where are you getting those nearly perfect plug wires AKA Lightning Tubes.
Got those from Ebay.
Is that front bumper supposed to sit under front valance like that? I put it inside bumper on mine
Shhh.... yes once I was done I noticed that
Wiring is something I always wanted to do but I suffer from the fat finger Syndrome.😀
wow nice have 2 revel gtxs one sox n martin one dick landy thankx for the link want another 67 cool vid stay safe scooter d
Thanks!!👍🏻👍🏻
Om all Mopar cars the Engine bay would be body color
