And, Yes, it is a very Beautiful build! Thank You for sharing with Us!
Thanks
Wow!!
Wow, it looks like a Die-Cast car🤘
I was born in 57. I agree with you 55 iz the best of the tri 5 👍👍👍👍🙏
All of the tri 5s are beautiful.
Sweet! U really captured the beauty and styling of this legendary car. 👍👍👍
Thanks Gary!!
You build a beautiful model my friend! Thank you for sharing! 👍👍
Thanks Tony!! The 442 is on the bench
I built this 55 Bel Air and used all water based acrylic paint. It came out beautiful.
Cool!
You really hit the ball out of the park with this one!! GORGEOUS!
Thanks Thomas!!
Wow, that turned out awesome. The cool thing about models is you can paint them anyway you want or build them to your own satisfaction.
By the way, you have lovely nails.
Lol!! Thanks
Your 55 looks Great Mathew!!! I think you made the right choice on the tan interior. Beautiful Build!!!
Thanks Michael!!
I agree about the continental spare don't care for them. Awesome build love the colors keep up the good work 👌.
Great build. I also bought that glue to do carpets with embossing powder.
I am so glad I found your site. What a beautiful build. I have the exact same issue of this model that I have not finished building. You have given me a lot of great ideas. Congratulations!
Thanks Richard!!
Super shiny, mean clean machine. Looks really good Matt!
👍🏻👍🏻
That was me about the alternator. 😄 Monogram did do it right with this one.
Lol!!
Hey Matthew, you nailed that 55, she looks awesome, I'm thinking you should have played some chuck berry on your slide show. Ha ha. But I still gotta say the 57 was the queen. Keep up your great inspirational work buddy.....🇬🇧😋😎
What a great result on this kit. I always liked the 55 . Keep up the good work!
Thanks Richard!!
That one turned out spectacular !!!
Thanks Mike!!
Wow love that 55. Awesome build buddy. Have a great week.
Thanks Neamon!!
I like the way you painted and assembled the 55Chevy! Your color combination and placement look outstanding to me. So good job!!
Thanks Alvin!!
I enjoy your videos. The laid. Ack style is easy to watch. I hope you keep doing them for a while.
I plan on it!!
Awesome!!
Remind Beginners the #1 Rule of model building is always test fit,"refine or fix, refit & repeat until perfect
Beautiful! Great job
Sweet ride as some of the you tube people say don't worry about what others say build your models the way you want to don't let anyone tell you how the model should be built or painted, build for you.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Very nice build
Thanks!!
That 55 looks sweet!!
Thanks Robert!
I had the same problem when I tried to paint emblems, I went online and learned about " dry brushing "- give it a shot
Very nice build, I am very impressed by your work. What a beautiful classic car.
Excellent build. I have a few of these Chevies.
Awesome 55!
Matthew, great job! Love your color choices.
Thanks George!!
Another great looking build! !
Thanks Dave!!
I'm sure somebody already commented on this, but I just wat he'd it and in a Google search, almost every '55 I saw , the light color was on the rear. Beautiful ride.
Thanks Michael!
It , turned out awesome . nicely done. fantastic done. 55 is the one I like best. till next time. take care, an have a great week. thanks. mike.
Thanks Mike!!
We called them cozy wings.
Turning out really sweet I love the detail you're putting into it finish is really nice on it
Thanks Todd!!
Do you ever get rid of them old model cars you had them junk one
Some of it I have.
Your 55 came out awesome, I love it. The person who said the white should be on the front was wrong. I have a 1 to 1 55 hardtop that came red and white from the factory and it is painted like yours. .Such a beautiful build. Ron
Very cool!! Thanks
Nice looking build Matthew 👌👍👍
Thanks Junior!!
Super sweet styrene goodness Mathew!
Thanks brother!!
The colors are georgeous.
Great build dude.
I am working on a 30 Packard speedster kit from the 80’s.
Cheers
Very cool!! Thanks
From the day you received to now it came out great 🤙
Thanks Neal!!
Its Your build Matt, whatever makes You happy, I have the very same kit, I am going to build from Cheech and Chong's movie Nice Dreams, looks about like the box art. Yes every so often I run into that dash problem, test fit twice, glue once. Model on Dude!
Nice build. Great job with the kit.
Thanks!!
Nice work! I've been making the alternator brackets with flattened solder.
Cool!
That's looks amazing.
Thanks Gary!!
This is a very nice build. 👍
Thanks Stephen!!
Matt I have the Indy Pace Car kit and it is painted just like yours so the paint style is correct. Awesome build. Now I need to finish mine.
Thanks!!
Yep, that's a power steering pump. My '59 Impala had that type of power steering system.
Looks awesome 👍
Thanks Hillbilly72!!
Turned out really nice! I have that kit. Makes me want to build it
I have a diecast but a hardtop of the same exact colors, red front, white rear so it's correct, looks awesome, I believe the boot would look better in a creamy white or red but it's your beautiful car so keep it that way. This is my favorite 55 Bellair color scheme. 👍🏻👍🏻 I ❤ it!!!
Thanks Gary!!
This is hilarious . I am working on a 35 year old kit I decided to open up a couple of weeks ago. Monograms 55
Chevy Gasser .Its going good. I have 3 kits I am building alternately. 55 Gasser, 641/2 Stang, and 69 Cougar Eliminator. I CANNOT build one kit at a time. I give plenty of time for paint and glue to dry. So, while drying, it's off to another kit .
Same here. Currently have four kits on the bench.
@@grb351 We can't help ourselves can we ? 😆
Nice build Matt. Sweet looking car.
Thanks Doug!!
Great build video and a great result. That kit was my first build on joining the modeling community. Seems like a long time ago but, it's only seven builds ago. Thanks for showing us a very nice build.
I saw yours, very nice!
@@modelcarvideos5829 Thank you for taking the time to have a look my friend.
Great looking car!!!
Thanks Jim!!
Great looking build
That's a hell of a nice build, it's a great old kit, I have the Revell Germany recent reissue of the Indy pace car 55 and that has a standard back bumper.
Cool!! Thanks Gaz!!
Nice job ILOVE IT !!
Thanks Joseph!!
Man that looks awesome. What a great job. Thanks I learned a lot from your vid. I look forward to your next one.
Thanks!!
Great video, good looking build! 🤙🏼
Thanks!
Beautiful car! I'll major on '69 cars and trucks, just because that's the year I was born. But I will include cars I like, such as cars from '55 and '57. I've got a kit of an '86 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS because I love that car in that body style (I hate the newer version with the car's lines rounded off). I'll paint it in my favorite color scheme that I've seen on them, black car with red trim. Both my parents and my in-laws had a '66 VW Beetle so I've got one of those to do. I may get a kit of a car that I owned at one time if I see a kit at the right time.
I'm building this same kit as I speak. I agree completely. Monogram nailed it with this one. So far every piece has fit excellent. I went with auto enamel seacrest green metallic/white. Great looking kit!!
👍🏻👍🏻
It turned out great. They did make a version of that kit without the continental kit.bits the pace car version. The color placement is correct.
Thanks!!
Nice paint on that 55
Thanks David!!
Looking great Matt! love the color combo
You did a fantastic job on the '55 Matt. Your building gets better with each kit.
Thanks Mike!!
She's a beauty nice job
Thanks!!
Aloha Matthew,
Great build! I believe I have a 55 rear bumper advertised as an amt 1/25 scale. I can send it to you if you want. It didn't work for me anyway. Let me know.
Keep up the great work!
Steve
Hard to believe that beautiful build came from that mashed up box.
That’s a top notch build right there. I built a monogram 50 Ford truck from the same era and it was a pleasant build as well. Monogram really got it right .
Use a silver sharpie pen on logos or silver pencil also works on gauges light scrub on surface
Fantastic build, looks great! I agree with you on Continental kits, I hate em too! I agree with you on 55 vs 57, I like the 55 better. Another option for clear parts that I use is Aleen's Tacky glue, clear, good stuff.
Thanks!!
06:05 am Thanks for the tip on painting the Belaire letters! Doing letters drives me nuts. I've been using the Molotow markers with limited success.
I know you do not like the spare tire but back in 55 that was classy look
What a BEAUTIFUL build !!! 55 is my favorite of the tri-fives. I built this kit several months ago and really enjoyed it.
👍🏻👍🏻 I just saw yours on FB. Thanks
Matthew, I agree with you 100% that the ‘55’s are the best looking of the Tri-5 Chevies, even though you are icky and gross. That build is spot on. Nice job. You need to quit building kits that I have in my stash, because I want to drop what I’m working on and build this now. Love your color choice. 👍
👍🏻👍🏻😂
That guy might want to let Chevrolet, as well as all of the owners, know that they’ve been painting their cars incorrectly, because the internet is full of them painted just like yours. Dark in front, light in back.
Good man
Hes right I always preferred the 55 over the 57 bel air. If I got a 57 project car I'd be putting a 55 front end on it to see how it looks
I have this model for 25 years + , have not get to it yet lol
Ollie's prices are great!! When I start building I'll be on the lookout for kits as well as supplies there...
Nice one Matt 55 is the best looking but if I ever win lotto I’ll get all three
Yep!! Lol
I'm a new subscriber, just a couple days as a matter, and I love the continental look, but I was from that era.
Very cool!!
Excellent build! I agree with you, the '55 is hands down the best looking of the tri five Chevies.
Great build Matthew, 55 Chevy is a beautiful car but I think the 56 Chevy is a better looking car 😏
That's a beautiful build
I'd love to see you build the Chrysler Turbine car
I'd love to have that kit but it's too expensive!
@@modelcarvideos5829 I have one that took me years to find, I'm thinking of placing it in worthy hands, a bit pricey but in the right hands, it would be a gift.
Definitely!!
Fantastic build! I always wanted to build the pace car version, same colors. Brings back memories.I had the real car in high school except it was the 2 door bel air hardtop, same colors! Red in front and white in back. Appreciate what you do in producing your videos.
Thanks!!
Great build!! I've heard of using 'silicone' brushes for small detail painting....the brushes are actually 'Silicone Clay Sculpting Tool'.
Dang matt I have been messing up glass for years. Now I am going out and getting some of that modge podge stuff. Stop being so negative on yourself bro, you did an outstanding job on that car. To me it looks great. Really like the colors you picked out for that year. But maybe you could paint that other top the same white as the car. Again great job
Thanks James!!
You always build great models, but this one turned out AMAZING! I like the 55 just as much as the 57, both have classic styling. Keep up the good work.
Thanks!!
I'm with you. I prefer the '55 over the '57. Even the '56 is better. I also like the '55 cameo and Apache pick 'em up trucks a lot.
👍🏻👍🏻
I used Elmers all the time, then I started using Mod-Podge, I think its better.
Great build i hate continental kits too
The oil filter is blue and orange.
Looks great Mathew. Very clean build buddy. I am building a 1956 Chrysler 300B right now and it’s about that color red. Anyways lookin good brother.
I Chris, frank here I came across your comment and saw you are Building a 300B. I’m looking for a 1960 300f. I was wondering if you know anyone who makes it. Thanks
@@frizzosmodels I don’t know for sure man. I know this Chrysler is a mobieus kit I’ve never saw one but doesn’t mean there isn’t one out there man. I wish you luck finding it though and if I happen to see one out there. I’ll let you know for sure.
turn out great i also like the 55 more than the 57 i own a real 55 whitch was my drag car for almost 30 years
Very cool!! Have you started the 55 yet?
@@modelcarvideos5829 no not yet doing a bike build right now with 2 other guys
Monogram also did an Indy pace car version of this kit.
Nice build! I wish they wouldn't have molded a fuel door on it though. They didn't have them for real.
Actually, the real car did have a fuel door.
55 was the only tri 5 that did have the fuel door in the side. The rest were in the tail light
It would have been good if the standard rear bumper was included in the kit, but a beautiful kit altogether.
Looks good. I like 55 better as well. 56 grille is ugly to me. Goes across the whole front. 55 definitely my favorite. I did mine in factory colors. Tropical turquoise and white. Turquoise carpet flocking. Mine was big 1/16 scale. Loved it. Wish they were all large scale.
I DONT LIKE IT…….. I Love It!! it’s amazing. Beautiful!! a piece of art. I have a different perspective on the 55 .you did a perfect job! I will now look for this kit and try to build up something close to yours. It’s stellar 👍👍👍👍👍🤘
Thanks Frizzo!!
Yeah, 55' is better looking than 57'. 57' has out of proportions front bumber 🤢 comparing to skinny rear bumber. I personally like the 56' the best. And that model you just made, that came very sweet🥇😎
Thanks Asko!!
