Am new to the channel and in just a few videos have learned sooo much. You have also given me the courage to try the foil. Have had some for a long time with to many inhabitions to try it. Thank you! I look forward to your videos and appreciate your methods. You are fine teacher. Thanks again.

That's a really good looking Chevy II, it's one of those kits that I've built several of and will probably do several more.
Thank you for the bare metal foil tutorial, I use it and really like it. Your tip about blacking out the edge of your blade with a sharpie is fantastic, I don't know why I've never thought of it but I'm sure glad that you did ! If I ever get to Georgia I'd like to by you a beer ..... or soda, whatever you drink. 🍻
Let's do it!!
I'm finally getting my 66 nova finished.i repainted my model again blue.fresh.new paint job.

Sharpie on the knife blade, great tip...
Beautiful car buddy. Thanks for sharing.
👍🏻👍🏻
Awesome color
Thanks
That is absolutely beautiful
Paint looks stunning, really nice work man! Looks great next to the '72 GTO on the shelf there.
Thanks!!
You should enter this one in the Atlanta show. Excellent work!
You just ain't close enough!
If and when you build the Blue AMT '69 GTX, you may notice that some parts in that kit are carried over from the Pro Street GTX, such as the engine, and it also had the narrowed rear end for the other kit. I built mine with the 440 Six-Barrel. You have 2 intake manifold options for each engine, a single carb 440 manifold, the sixpack manifold, and a cross -ram and dual quad manifold for the hemi engine.
Cool!!
Great looking Nova!
Thanks!!
Great BMF the build looks awesome sweet ride. Have a great week Matt, 👍👍👍👊👊👊👊
Thanks Neamon!! Saturday is almost here!!
@@modelcarvideos5829 yes sir I will be there Friday for meet and greet. Lot of us are going to hangout and get something to eat

That 66 turned out awesome Matthew. Love the color of it. Next time you put in glass, or headlights try clear fingernail polish it works really great. Have a great week ahead my friend. Terry
👍🏻👍🏻 thanks Terry!!
Awesome build
Thanks Eric
Awesome build, you do a great job on the bare metal foil. Im not very good at doing the foil yet, maybe some more practice. The color is amazing. Great engine detail as well. I really enjoy your channel you do a good job.
Thanks Harold!!
Great build! I've used Mod Podge to create lenses for gages & tail lights.
👍🏻👍🏻
The dual snorkel air cleaner indicates you got the L-79 350 hp /
327 ci "Corvette " motor . Outstanding.
Memphis Dan LeLoLai
👍🏻👍🏻
Good job
Thanks
Nice work !!! Looks really good!!!
Thanks Dirk!!
Sweet build!

The Chevy ll came out great 👍 I just finished the Supernatural 67 Chevy Impala. Ya'll will see it on the Facebook group.
👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you for sharing! 👏👌👍
👍🏻👍🏻
very cool build sir
Thanks Big Eddie!!
Excellent video. I have BMF, but haven't tried using it yet. The way you did it makes a lot of sense. I'll try it on my next one.
Thanks Jason!!
The Nova turned out great. Nice job with the clean assembly.
You can use rubbing alcohol to clean off the Molotov chrome or Sharpie if you make a mistake. I always keep a bottle of it handy.
Thanks Michael!!
Turned out really nice, great tutorial video man
Thanks!!
Amazing job!! I like the color as well
Nice work with the BMF. I have grown less and less impressed with BMF lately. The material and adhesive have changed greatly. It is much thicker than it used to be. More difficult to cut, and it doesn't adhere for crap now. BMF has definitely changed manufacturers, and the owner id adamant that nothing is wrong. Sadly there doesn't seem to be much out there by way of alternatives. Still a very good tutorial, and nice work.
👍🏻👍🏻
Oooooooooo pretty. Nicely done
Thanks
Came out fantastic !!
Thanks David!!
Gorgeous build!!. I like the styling lines of the 66-67 Nova...
That came out super sharp!!! Love that color!!!! Another awesome build! Always enjoy your builds!!!
Thanks brother!!
That’s a nice kit man I’m going to buy one now
Thanks
Turned out awesome Matthew!! I’ve been looking around for MCW paints here in Australia since your last build but no one is stocking it down here. Will keep looking as I think your on a winner there buddy 😉👍
Thanks Will!!
Nice work compadre!!
Thanks
Nice job.👍
Thanks Charlie!! 🍻
Great work as always.
Paint is awesome. Awesome finish .
👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks Mike
I like that color. I use chrome duct tape. Mite try the foil looks more pliable. Looks great even done the gas cap kudos.
Thanks Jim!!
Love the Chevy 2s
👍🏻👍🏻
I don't have the patience for BMF so I use a silver Sharpie now
👍🏻👍🏻
You should try the liquid chrome mirror effect paint marker from hobby lobby. Never foil again. Nice build 👌
👍🏻👍🏻
Just a fantastic job Matt! Looking very much like the real thing in the still photos! Seems like a really nice kit. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Richard
I left you a message on your Video with the 442's titled "What's it the Box!! I think you might find it of interest.
Me need me some Nova's now....oh bugger! 😉😆😂
Red light warrior me thinks....boy racer terror! 😉😎
The kit with the Chrysler 392 Fire Power Hemi looks interesting as well....🤨🤔
Great eye for detail, turned out really nice! I think they made the chrome strips along the bottom a tad too thick! would've looked better with your touch on the bare metal foil!
One very nice car🤘on
Thanks Neal!!
Nice clean build- if you keep the foil in a plastic bag - it seems to last longer - has for me - back in the day you could get a chrome gas cap 😃guys would do that
👍🏻👍🏻
Looks great. I still havent finished my Fireball Roberts '57 Ford #22 nascar race car that I started some 3 years ago. Everything is done just need to clear coat it with some 2K clear and do final assembly. Just cant decide if I want to try bare metal foil. Ive heard horror stories about it letting loose and coming off years later as well as horror stories about clearing over it all to lock the bare metal foil to the car. Currently the trim is painted but I know the foil would give it that extra pop. Another thing I need to check is the Air Ride decal and make sure I did it right as I couldnt really find any information on if the Air Ride decal was always lifted on the left side or if it was always lifted on the rear side of the model.
Think the only real thing holding me up is my search for a good spray gun that has the 1/8" fitting I think it is to directly connect to my airbrush hose which is connected to my oilless airbrush compressor. I really dont want to try and use my primary painting airbrush for use with two part clears let alone the risk of getting orange peel due to the narrower spray pattern.
Thnaks for the refresher on the BMF. My latest build I used a new sheet of BMF, and it didnt work so well. I think they made it too thick and it wont form as easy. Ended up painting the trim on. Also, can you put BMF on and then clear coat? Awesome job on the paint. Want to try the MCF paints soon.
Yeah it is too thick. I think you can clear over it.
Very nice build Matthew! I think headers are supposed to be hard to install, even on 1/1 cars.
Lol!! Yep
Very nice build, thank you for sharing it with us.
I’m curious to what steps people take to accomplish the finished build.
My pleasure!!
Great job as always!! Love how you mixed the leftover paInts to achieve this great color. Tamyia tools are Snapon quality to model cars. The best 👍🤘
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I have tried all sorts of ways and have not settled on a preferred way to chrome trim.
Are you going to build one of the simi truck kits???
Friends don't let Friends drive or model stock!!!!
Hi
New to your channel and loving what I see.
Although im in the UK and alot of the kits you have and talk about are not available here, the skills and techniques you use will be the same as I need for my trucks.
The models I built before are nowhere near the levels you are at, so I am looking forward to watching your back catalogue to see what I can learn.
With that in mind is there any particular videos you would recommend that would help me?
Thanks
ps. just applied to join your FB group too
Thanks Lee!!
Great job on the Nova. Enjoy all your videos. Painting with the MCW paints, what paint mixture do you use ? What size needle do you use in your air brush.
2:1 and I don't have a clue to what needle size. It's what came with the gun.
@@modelcarvideos5829 Thank you sir
Matt. Where do you order that bare metal foil? You really did a great job on that Nova. Gonna post my latest build on the facebook page. Take care have a great week
Hobbynutmodels.com
Turned out good Matt.... are you using reducer with the MCW paint?
Yes 2:1
I just came across this channel. Have a question on the spark plug wires. Did you do a video on how to do those?
Yes I'll have to look to see which ones but there are several.
Do you use the Tamiya panel line in the door jams
Yes
Gorgeous color! I'm a new subscriber. My question is, if I paint a car body with matte/flat paint, and then hit it with a clear gloss, will the result be a gloss color?
Yes, I've painted the base flat and cleared and it turns out great.
@@modelcarvideos5829 I've been building and painting miniatures like Warhammer and resin minis I bought from Etsy sellers. I exclusively use Pro Acryl, Army Painter, Vallejo and AK Interactive paints which are all acrylic, water-based paints. They are a breeze to use. Air brush prep and cleanup, from what I have seen and read about, is easy and safer than using acetone and lacquer thinners. So my next step is an airbrush so I can spray these paints and hit them with a clear gloss when I'm done.
Can link which pointed q tips you use?
Have your ever cleared over the BMF?
amzn.to/3nZqEKf
Is that not chrome trim down the side or just a body line?
Body line
How much hardener do you add to the paint?
About 6 drops
@@modelcarvideos5829 Thanks. I knew it was a small amount, but I didn't know how small.
