    I am a former dog trainer who does not keep dogs at home. After seeing this society and how much crime is out there. I am finding more knowledge so I can insha Allah keep a dog at my place to protect my home. I know first hand how easy robbers disarm security system but avoid any home with a security animal. House pets do not deter any real criminal but a security service animal is a working unit.

      so where do you keep your security dog , how far from your house , outside in the elements or in a enclosed kennell. Alot of people may not have a large property. How does this dog protect you if it is outside your house.A robbery breaks into your house , he is safe inside your house your security dog can not hurt him. If I was a robber and looked inside a house and saw a dog I would move on.

      @donaldmason7081 I'm planning an entire house build that will allow me to keep the Dog in a halal way that will also keep the dog happy. Just keeping a family pet outside is mean and I don't want to miss my few prayers because of presence of Dog. I am planning to build a nice chicken coop and have a German shepherd for pure guardian purposes.

      Assalamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh brother. I have 4 dogs which are 1 pure breed German shepherd and 3 mixed German shepherd and Malinois (6 months old). We live in the deep rural areas in Italy where there are many wild boars and wolves. Hence I had to get the 3 pups because 1 German shepherd will not be able to guard the whole territory against wolves not even a group of wild boars. My 3 pups are female and since they have a mix of 2 most protective blood, they are super protective to the point they do not allow any living being enter their zone (they are nice to cats though). Is there any tips to fix this. I would not want this to be later dangerous for friends and family to come over. Barak Allãhu Feek

    • @axs7689
      @axs7689 Před rokem +2

      @submittereverythingforhim2306 socialize them immediately! If a dog seems too stubborn then make them sweat and work. You can take a scooter or cycle and make them work one morning! An exhausted dog feels like they have worked and can regulate their emotions. A dog that has pent up energy will be more aggressive. If available to you put in classes.

    The Quran says nothing about not having a dog in a house or as a pet. It is the Hadith that makes an issue of it. Lets not forget that if the Quran does not say its forbidden then the Hadith has no value. Or are the sayings of the Prophet more important or valuable than the Quran?
    Furthermore, the dog has proven his value to humans over and over again. More than humans have among eachother.

    I do find this topic very controversial. I do love dogs as I grew up next door to a German Shepard and pretty much looked after him outdoors.
    I guess perhaps back then dogs were mostly rabid dogs or used mainly for hunting /guarding. I don't think they would have domesticated dogs to the extent they are now. This is why I wonder if it is actually possible to keep dogs.

    Brother, what’s your advice to someone (who’s a kid) who has a pet dog in his house but there’s nothing he or the family can do. Like, he can’t put the dog on the streets as it’s domesticated and would be killed. He can’t sell it as the price of dogs is impermissible, he can’t give it away to others as that would be contributing in their Haram. So what should he do? Keeping in mind he also likes his dog but doesn’t want to disobey Allah. Should he leave the situation as it is and just not get another dog in the future? The family was unaware of the rulings when getting the dog. Thank you.

      @HadithWeekly  Před 2 lety

      Asallamu Alikum brother, you are right about your thinking. So there are many options to do but they really depend on where you live. So you can keep the dog outside in its own shelter in your yard if you have one and the weather outdoors is suitable for that dog. You can also give the dog to a non-Muslim or an animal shelter.

We cannot point with certainty and faith that, on the one hand, the Quran is is immutable, unchangeable, not translate-able, and then allow any and every Imam in the desert to come along and make his own commentary about what the prophet write or did not write, and worse WHAT HE MEANT. There is NOTHING in the Quran that requires us to deal with dogs in the ways that many of the commentators in the hadith order. The men who grant authority to the Hadith are those that wrote it, not the Prophet (Pbuh). It is the same in all three Abrahamic religions. The message is distorted by man through endless discussion by self-important teachers. There are verses about eating camels...and yet plenty of Muslims eat camels, most of them in a nation that spawned Wahabism.
