My son was 4 and jumped off the swing at school the Friday before Thanksgiving break and got a buckle fracture in his left arm. Then we got a snow storm and had feet of snow to deal with before we could go to the ortho group to get his cast the next day. Then 2 years ago same son now age 10 was playing pee wee football and was blocking and got ANOTHER buckle fracture in the OTHER arm. Like you said mom's know their kids and when mine cried and took his helmet off I knew it was serious because he LOVES football and will play with pain if it's not that bad. I hope Evie heals quickly and feels better!

"Buckle fractures are a type of broken bone that almost always affects kids. They're an incomplete fracture, which means the break doesn't go all the way through the bone. You might see buckle fractures referred to as impacted fractures or torus fractures. Buckle fractures get their name from how they happen." I think the bone buckles, but doesn't break.
Don't fret the release date. A friend of mine was traditionally published and his release date was moved at least twice and the book was a year late. It happens, the book will be better for it, and we're all excited to read it when it IS ready! 💖
Re: art, you could do a fan art contest for images inspired by the previous week’s chapters, with the winner getting a free month of top tier. So, fans could do contests and professional artists could collaborate with you to get their designs into your shop to be offered for sale to your fans.

Ooof! I've missed a preorder deadline and I made that same decision! I'm locked out of preorders until this summer. Got my fingers smacked and lesson learned. I feel ya! No more preorder setups unless the book is done.
