My Grandad had a Honda C90 about 1976 . He lived in Cheltenham and travelled every Monday to London and returned Friday for work on his Honda . He used to come down to Tidworth on it , upto Sunderland and Retford . It clocked up about 90,000 miles and still started as normal , never burned oil .

I always thought it would be forever before I reached the age of 42 when he died but here I am now at 43 lol.
Anyway, had the chance to see a C90 in the flesh at a vintage rally here in Ireland at the weekend at a place called Duckett's Grove, Carlow. Absolutely gorgeous bike.
One of the big attractions to the bike was it's simplicity and more and more bikes today are adding more and more tech and worst of all those hideous looking plastic TFT screens.

Oh man you're killing me lol. You have to give it a thorough wash first before trying to buff anything out. You might be causing scratches or taking off more paint than necessary. Please wash, polish, and coat/wax it. You won't chase your tail that way. Rust is cool and stuff but its a great place for dirt to live, think of it like the grime from some sweaty kids hands in a used gameboy. Same thing. leaving the paint unpolished and then unprotected opens it up to having more debris sit in it and cause more rust pits. Its very significant that you take these steps especially if you want to restore it. And if you polish one part, polish the whole thing or you'll regret it. The rust on chrome can sometimes be polished out with chrome polish as well. So if you are considering changing parts, I would make sure you polish the areas that are hard to get to before reassembling

@@makedaevilmage Talk about deliberate and senseless destruction of property.. I mean most would probably just go out for a joyride and probably try to sell it.. But to set it on fire and push it out into the sea?? What kind of purpose does that even serve?? Maybe I just don't know a whole lot about these types of situations but this one definitely seems like it was targeted.. This is so awful.
And here I thought a neighbor's U-Haul ramming into my great condition 1990 Miata, and puncturing the bumper within my very first day of ownership while I was at work was pretty bad..
Car still had all the dealership plates, and they literally had just left without any type of note or anything. Sucks because I still haven't even gotten it fixed 6-7 years later. Was frustrating to see that happen to my very first car that I had saved up every penny of my paycheck, all since the beginning of when I started my first job flipping burgers 7-8 months before.
That said Elliot's situation is like mine but definitely 100 times worse..
