I have been following SoHyang for years and I feel that was one of the greatest performance I have ever witnessed. I am not sure you would have made it if you didn't pause the video at the critical part. There wouldn't have been any shame if that had happened. I think half of the audience had to try their eyes.

Sohyang going Patti LaBelle here brings me joy. Her ballpark is CCM and she always delivers, not only in her genre as we all know.
You are probably the first reactor who mentioned the contrast of her voice & lyrics. Imho during acapella part she genuinely got emotional. However that gave us an opportunity to witness her going from 0 and choking up to full throttle in seconds. Sohyang is a masterclass in vocal control, even in the unfavorable situation like getting emotional or suffering health issues. In the recent years, her poor health really gets in her way and it shows during her live performance. Yet she beats all that and in some cases pushes her boundaries further than before (and delivers as usual) 😍

This song is a masterclass in everything you talked about -- range, dynamics, emotion, and turning our insides into something close to mush. I have seen her in many interviews and on many talk shows and she is so unassuming, so lighthearted. She doesn't take herself seriously in any way. I once saw an interview where a gent flew from Turkey to Seoul to meet with her and they filmed him knocking on the door of this big building and who answered the door? So Hyang. I laughed. WELCOME BACK!! Another FANTASTIC/GREAT/AWESOME reaction. The PHENOMENAL So Hyang indicated "Everyone" was the most difficult song she has sung. She had to figure out where to take a breath. From what I've read, this is the one and only time she has performed this song in public because she didn't think that her health would permit her to sing it again. So Hyang has a compromised immune system, has had eight bouts of severe pneumonia between
2016 - 2020.

I love your assessment and reaction of So Hyang. So Hyang's raw and uncensored joy fills every performance of hers. She has persevered through so many obstacles in life and has thanked God for her blessings. As you said very accurately, those who engage with So Hyang and give her the opportunity to sing feel a stirring in their spirit - it so moving. She almost makes you feel like you are being cleansed of burdens. She naturally adds color to every single word she sings, which is mind blowing to say the least. Her performances are tangible and captivate so quick as you said similarly. If you have not reacted to her performance of Misty from Begin Again Korea, I highly recommend that one. She performed that with such an incredibly high level of precision: truly inspirational. I think that one would become one of your favorites of hers. Cheers!

This is like a 7 minutes long master class in the art of singing and by thati mean like sing amazing!! This is ,what i call, one of her many "don't try this at home" performances! There's one thing to "sing from your heart" cause you know what words to emphasize to make the listerns moved. However it's a completely different thing when you really sing from your heart cause you mean every word you say. You have also lived it. Whatever Sohyang sings she really means it her words are straight from her heart and soul.

She created a sacred mood on a singing contest TV show. Talk about contrast! Great comments about dynamics and song structure. She wrote this song, and she's a brilliant performer. You seem to honestly enjoy her and be moved. But please do not text when she’s singing. That also happened in I Will Always Love You. Otherwise, a great reaction.

She is the best female singer in this world. I play her music on Sunday as a spiritual reckoning.
Context wise, the title everyone is named wrong. "Everyone" has nothing to do with the lyrics actually. "(It's) all of you" is more correct. She said once this song was the hardest cover out of the performaces she had done on the TV shows back then, with the memory in mind of struggling to find places to breathe while singing.

If you look closely at the lyrics of this song, you can see that Sohyang's life and confession of faith are all contained. God, who cured cancer and gave a new life that he had visited in her early 20s, and Sohyang, who decided to sing for him for the rest of her life. So, the emotions contained in this song are the true feelings of Sohyang, so even those who listen to the song can feel the emotions as they are if they are immersed a little bit, so they have no choice but to shed tears.
As a side note, this song is also one of Sohyang's most difficult songs to sing due to its 7-minute length and extreme singing technique and difficulty, so it has actually only been sung and performed on stage once so far in the video. The audience in the video are the luckiest people in Korea to hear this song live.

I called everyone greatest vocal performance ever. It's so special as was your reaction.. I've discovered one more that is close (link provided). This is a never been reacted to version of Hug Me. There are two versions often reacted to:one from masked singer, where you can't see her face (which as you well note is an essential part of Sohyang performances), the other is from the time when she was very visibly affected by pneumonia (tough to watch even though she sang amazingly).
