- Welcome to Kenya's brand new business lounge at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in Nairobi. This is a big deal for Kenya as it is the first Premium Plaza Lounge built in East Africa.
In case you didn't know about Premium Plaza Lounges, they are a big deal in the travel industry. Plaza Premium Group is a pioneer and the market leader in airport hospitality services with an international footprint of over 250+ locations, 80+ International Airports, 30+ countries and regions, serving 20 million travelers annually. So having one of their lounge, truly helps taking JKIA into the right direction.
The lounge it self is fairly small but looks very with it's light colors and a touch of dark green in the back. This location offers everything you can expect from an airport lounge from fast WIFI to showers, charging stations, food and drinks. Speaking about food, there is not a wide verity of dishes but what is there is good.
In terms of pricing, they are apart with most lounges in other international airports around the world. Since Kenya opened some of its skies to other airlines like direct flights to and fro from dubai and other places there was pressure for Kenya by these airlines to have premium lounges since most of their customers are premium or of the business class. Also their has been an increase of dignitaries flying to Kenya like presidents and high govt officials and business morguls who would be accomadated in these lounges. So the demand for more lounges is there. There are two other lounges and this one makes it three

So this is owned by Plaza Premium which is just a lounge company. I'm sure within the next few months, they will be working some deals with airlines but for now you can pay to go in or use priority pass or some credit cards like AMEX.
36 hours layover in Nairobi airport, is there any activity inside,what about the food we got to pay or its free inside the lounge....
There is sadly nothing to do inside the airport apart from a few shops restaurant and lounge. Have a look at our channel, we made a full video about the Airport.
They need to fix and upgrade the entire airport from top to bottom, good start though.

It's connected to the new terminal. But even if you're flight leaves from the old terminal A you can walk there as its all connected.
