- After roads in the Masai Mara were shutdown due to heavy rains, we had to shorten our safari weekend to only 24hrs. But this gave us a new goal. The goal to answer the question, "Is 24hrs Enough for a Safari?"

To answer this question, we stayed at Mara Engai Lodge in the Mara Triangle just outside the famous Masai Mara National Reserve. This safari camp has massive luxury tents built on a mountain side, offering incredible views of the Mara Triangle and the Serengeti in Tanzania as they are located just 10km from the Kenya Tanzania border.
Now let's address the true highlight of this safari lodge. Instead of using your typical Toyota Land cruiser or Land Rover Defender, they have a fleet of Pinzgauer, 6 wheel drive (6X6) from Austria made in the 1970's which they fully converted into safari vehicles. After experiencing those unique off road machines, our game drives will never be the same. A visit to Mara Engai is worth just because of those game drive vehicles!
Overall, a great 24 hours safari, a bit short of course but if this is the only time window you have, JUST DO IT!

They do not chase clout they are building a brand by travelling to Kenya... challenge can Kenyan couples go to Canada or the USA do the same??? Instead of copying these couples no disrespect just a humble challenge when we reverse the curtains..these two are one in a million the draw the borders for who can come in there circles no wonder they seem to be in tune with each other,they don't get involved with anything out of there mission..build our brand.
