A new adventure awaits within Lumiose City, where an urban redevelopment plan is under way to shape the city into a place that belongs to both people and Pokémon.

Nah, ideas were always floating around since kalos is based on France and is connected to Spain (paldea), and there was that giant landmass we can't get to in sv. Idk how many others knew about the theory, but i at least knew about it

PLA has more buildings to enter than the mainline entry of SV. I think there are more inside areas in just the first village than in the whole of SV

The biggest problem with X & Y was that it always felt like a test run, the building blocks leading up to a definitive third title the same way Crystal, Emerald, and Platinum were for their respective titles. Those titles were so solid that we associated the region with that one and largely overlooked the flaws of those earlier titles. But ofc, we never got Pokemon Z.
When you realize that even more cause X/Y are gen 6 so why did Gen 5 and 7 get basically v2.0 (B/W 2 & Ultra S/M) but gen 6 was pretty much the red headed step child? One could argue about Sw/Sh and S/V not having v2.0s but I’d say that kinda goes out the window since they both got DLCs so…
Gen 6 didn't get much because it was the worst gen. Not even got a proper postgame. I am shocked that they are returning to it.

I absolutely loved it! I loved wonder trading and the ability to customise my trainer. I absolutely loved the story. I missed out on gens 3 and 5 and found this to be perfect
For whatever reason, the Kalos region was always my personal favorite. Pokemon XY was one of my first pokemon games, and the pokemon/world stuck with me in a way I can’t quite articulate. I never imagined we’d revisit it in this way. Here’s to hoping it turns out amazing!

I believe that is always suspicious when a game doesn't show gameplay in it's trailer, and having in mind the state in which Scarlet & Violet came out...
To be fair the teaser for scarlet and Violet also didn't have gameplay, just a room with some oranges and Spanish deco. But that still had a vibe... This one is giving me nothing. It's great we get Kalos again, but what is city remodelling even supposed to be gameplay wise? The draw of Legends Arceus was the past setting. And here we are like what... Exploring rebuilt pokemon Paris? It feels like they had to be "oh we have to whip something up real quick after because people got too much into palworld, we need to get them excited for pokemon again. WHAT DO YOU MEAN WE DON'T HAVE A GAME FOR THIS YEAR?!"

@@SemiramisAudron The redevelopment of Paris in the 1800s was a really tumultuous time with lots of organized crime and conflict between people who wanted change those who didn't (a very similar theme to Legends Arceus, even outside of the historical aspect), so there's more than enough to explore there in terms of story
Maybe because any gameplay they could show is running on hardware that isn't announced yet? Wouldn't want to confirm a new console in your second-party trailer.
AZ, Floette and unfinished business with the Kalos lore. Very hyped for this as the lore of Kalo/Gen 6 has so much potential.
Ultimate weapon also-Maybe involve the story with diancie, hoopa and volcanion too.

I'm just so glad that the Legends IP is continuing...I was dreading it was a one time off. I'm glad The Pokemon Company realized it was a slam dunk of an idea with infinite potential

Legends Arceus wasn’t a perfect game, but it had a lot of room for improvement, and I’m glad they listened to their fanbase,and will give us a good quality game.
Hopefully they don’t rush this game, considering it’s coming out in 2025

Here's to hoping this game will have strong ties to the past like how the Legends Arceus revealed historical facts about the Sinnoh region. Perhaps we'll get to see the events that led up to the war in Kalos, as well as the origin of the ultimate weapon and the mega stones. So much potential for this game.
The game will take place in more recent times.
Kalos is my favourite region. It had one of the best animes ever and overall, some of the best-designed pokemon ever came from Kalos, even though X and Y felt a bit rushed. I was so happy with this reveal and I am so excited. If it takes them a year, then I'm patient enough to wait for the release. Thank you, Pokemon.

I hope Zygarde is the game mascot. The Z legendary is the only member of the Aura Trio that isn't a game mascot due to the lack of a Pokemon Z, and since this is Legends Z-A, it only makes sense for Zygarde to be the mascot. Also, I hope we can finally use Zygarde's 10% and Complete Forms in a Kalos game.
I mean it seems pretty obvious zygarde is the mascot… considering the z has zygardes scales 😭

Maybe I’m looking into this to much but the symbol shown for “A” near the end look a lot like the symbol for Delta (which often references rayquaza) maybe it will be a zygarde/raquaza duo

This confirms what I have always thought in that PLA was juat a test run for a more fleshed out game on the engine and to see if there was a market for it etc.

Something i noticed in Z-A is that the Z have zygarde cells while the A has what seems to be scales
I honestly thought Z - A was both a reference to Zygarde and AZ.
Since the setting involves the recently redeveloped Lumiose City, and if the Pokemon company keeps the Time Travel element, the game setting could be based on the French Belle Epoque
I'm putting my money that it will be set in the Franco-Prussian War.
It seems cyberpunk from the trailer.

Seems most obvious a reference to the urban renewal project in the 1860s. I mean it's almost 1 for 1 the names almost exactly the same and the idea where presented in the trailer is that they're trying to build the city of the future which is what Napoleon had in mind

Literally out of all the gimmicks they’ve had, megas were my favorite.
I really hope they introduce more. Or would this be retro evolution to have them revert in their primal form?

I got into the franchise during XY but never got to play the games since I was stuck with a DS. So I’m really excited about being able to play the region with some of my favorite Pokemon designs!

Glad that Pokémon Legends is going to become a series, tough I thought the next one would have been about Unima. X and Y was my intro to pokemon. I'm so glad Kalos gets to be expanded on.
X and Y were okay. All it had was scale. It was the beginning of recycling animations and stiff models.

I believe we'll not get gen 10 next year, they'll delay it until 2026 because it is generation 10 on the 30th anniversary, that will be a bigget accomplishment

Gamefreak is not able to make functional open world game. The games technically look on paar with ps2 level. Dont say its Switch. Zelda Botw looks 10x Better on same console
