As an Italian, I had the chance to follow this game's development from the start. I played every demo, I watched every video on the creators channel, and I waited so eagerly for its full release. Now Xenoverse is a complete, enormous and polished game, with even 5 DLCs, and the best Pokemon fangame out there, for me at least.
It is one of my favorite fan games.

The amount of Easter eggs and attention to detail in this game, like the current Nintendo console being in our room, is absolutely incredible.

So far, I loved this fan game the most, even over insurgence which some people herald as the second coming of Arceus. I'm currently trying to get through a huge list of fangames and romhacks, even the short ones but honestly I think I'll be hard pressed to find a fangame as good as this, not to disregard the passion poured into all pokemon fan games

@Shelas Scaria currently playing through Empyrean, and gotta get to reborn still. In empyrean I'm at the robot city currently. I also still wanna play Uranium, Flux, Odessey, Opalo and a lot more so reborn is pretty far back in my priority list

@Shelas Scaria it's been great with some mild complaints here and there. Most notably with the type nullification items. I'd be fine with them if they were either unlimited uses for both me and the enemy or one-time use for me and the enemy. Sadly, that isn't the case, I only get to use it once, and my opponents get to use those nullifiers seemingly without limit. Almost every other trainer has them on at least one of their pokemon, so it makes some battles pretty tedious and annoying, especially when those pokemon only have one weakness. That being said I enjoy the story beats so far, even if the characters are kind of hit or miss for me at times, namely Nora since so far it doesn't feel like the creator knows what to do with her. I'm also kind of disappointed that only some starters get megas while the rest don't, but it's not world ending as Chestnaught has still proven to be an indispensable asset on my squad. My squad currently is Tyranitar, Scissor (two pokemon who I've yet to use in any game before and wanted fo experiment with) Omuran Crobat, Darmanitan, Chestnaught, and one more pokemon I'm having trouble remembering at the moment.

The thing I love about this game is the portrait that they use is giving me gen 6 vibe. My favorite VS sprite in the franchise.
Low-key the gym battles in this game are the same as in SV lol. Instead of Terra, they use basically regional mon with matching type as the gym.
This game came out way before SV got released. So saying SV learns from Xenoverse is more accurate

I've started playing Pokemon Xenoverse from yesterday because of this vid! I love my starter Shulong so much and even got a Weavile on my team so far.
Without spoiling shuulong is god tier. I played without items and it tanks damage so well.

Currently replaying the game to celebrate the final DLC being released and yes, this is the one true best Pokémon fangame. It deserves this title, after all. You know how long it's been in development? I swear it was like 10 years. It surpasses even most of the official Pokémon games in my opinion, no cap.

This was such a good game. Unfortunately my game irreversibly crashed for whatever reason right before I was about to challenge the elite 4, and after finding the most perfect shiny ninetales during my run and adding it to my team, I knew I wouldn't ever get my old team back so I just quit. It still makes me really sad to think about, but it was my first ever pokemon fan game and eventually gave me the inspiration to start working on my own. Great game

I want to thank you for being probably the only channel that I’ve been able to find that actually links the game in the description. Other channels don’t do this and it makes it hard to find a reliable source that doesn’t destroy my computer with ads and viruses

I'll say this, fan games and mods can really bring more to the pokemon series. And it's good to see many passionate people are giving people the chance to experience them. More people should thrive on that

This fangame was so much fun to play i really enjoyed playing and finished too. My trishout was the top of my team and facing those powerful pokemon like mega suicune, greninja X or also facing those bosses were an extra challenge Who i really enjoyed

This game gave me one of the best Pokemon experiences I've ever had. A lot of the fakemon look just as good, if not better, than official Pokemon designs. It has one of my favorite Pokemon designs of all time, a fire-grass Pokemon that is leagues cooler than the one we got in Scarlet/Violet. The amount of effort and love that went into the game is just so apparent - this is honestly the sort of game GameFreak should have given us and the one Pokemon fans deserve.

The reindigo is taken from the windigo which is pretty much an evil half deer half human creature actually fits very well for the horror movie Pokémon

The team dimension grunt fight music is fresh in my mind from when I played the game.
It is without a doubt one of, if not, the best Pokemon fan game of all time. When I found out that pass 4 was the last update for the game I was sad, but thankful for the quality of the game. It will be missed. Per ardua ad Astra

Insurgence is still up there, it’s funny how Pokémon Insurgence predicted some our current worlds events, it aged sooo well. From Deltas as to which Game Freak themselves took inspiration and created regional variants, nasty virus pandemic which in our world years later became covid and everybody got quarantined and finally the lore of Arceus and Giratini as to which years later, Pokémon legends Arceus came out, although the story and lore is completely different, the developers of Insurgence were onto something with that concept. Insurgence aged so well and after replaying it again years later, no fan game come come even close to it, it is 1 in my top 5

I’m a bit into now and I think my only issue is some of the music choices are not great. A lot of them very quickly get annoying because they are short loops and the mixing is not doing it any favors.

I really like the picture before fighting a xenoverse pokemon, it adds so much charm to the game.
I loved playing this game, I have done 2 playthroughs of this game with both other starters, and the gym puzzle for ishtar gym just spells out the alphabet.
I just started playing yesterday, and OH MY GOD, the game is really well made, they even got the work of making shadows when we pass a post of ligth during the nigth!

I definitely gotta try this out hopefully it's decently challenging cause that's why I really liked reborn, insurgence, and rejuvenation (some of the fights feel bs though).
It's not, at least not until the post-game.
Like, at all.
I was like 20 levels overleveled over most fights by the endgame without even trying, and legitimately straight up solod the entire story ending sequence of multiple legendary-tier boss fights with a non-legendary without issue at all.
It's 100% balanced around the difficulty curve of the official games.

@@AtomicArtumas Ok I finished my playthrough playing on the hardest difficulty, no items, and level caps. It was pretty challenging with some boss fights and the elite 4+ champion was rather hard (I was stupid being even below the level cap). I liked some of the gym leaders, but the story was kinda weird in certain parts and the pacing felt too fast at times. Overall pretty neat, but I love the dynamics more in rejuvenation mode with rivals. The character development was so good with characters.

I loved this game until I ran into a HUGE ISSUE. When you unlock primal form, an have to fight it. Mine would destroy my entire team before I could even get to to 25% hp. An all my mons were the same lv. The main issue is, you can't go anywhere to train as there are no mons in the cave to fight...

Team Dimensions' theme goes so hard for no reason
This was a definite favorite of mine and the reason I started playing fakemon games and pokemon rom hacks! I gave it alot of credit but up until last year when the DLC pass 4 was created, there was a Glitch. If you go into the Elite 4 Cave to battle a boss, you WILL NOT be able to leave the cave AT ALL until you beat the boss. The creator made the boss extremely difficult to beat and some were not able to leave the cave at all to the point some had to actually start their game over from the beginning. I actually wrote the creator about this possibly fixing it by making a patch or something in order for players to have the option to leave the Cave and He blocked me!! Over a simple suggestion. Great fanfare but unfortunately a a-hole creator!
I'm about to beat the main story and I'm so sad it felt overhyped. Just feels like characters don't get enough moments so their developments feel rushed. Also if you never read the pokemon adventure manga (thankfully I watched videos about it) you won't understand those references. Personally I enjoyed rejuvenation more cause you at least see characters really change over time and gym leaders were relevant to the story which I liked.

I just finished playing it myself. After everything I was at 225 hours haha. I will say a HUGE issue I had with the game was their plot advancement. They do a really bad job spacing out the story which results in 15-20 minute long story dumps of dialogue that gets very tiring. There are also some active bugs of certain battle mechanics not working. But aside from all that, the game is beautiful and clearly has a ton of work put into it.
I also made the mistake of choosing shyleon. When I play games with fakemons I like to only use the fakemons. That being said, there are TONS of new grass and new fairy types. Which made it difficult for me to use those on my team so my types weren’t too repetitive. I’d definitely recommend either the fire or water starters in the future cause you don’t have nearly as many new mons of those types. 👍

Yess it's clear they wanted to tell a ambitious story but they really could have edited down stuff and it would be much smoother to go through.

I'd agree if:
1. The game wouldn't be spaghetti code that is broken with each update until a fix is done and constant bugs to the point of save file corruption.
2. Several in-game stuff not being coded in to work correctly like several secondary movesets.
3. Pieces of code being pay walled behind a twitch sub because nobody wants to sub to an Italian only streamer.
4. The devs and other people constantly snaking artists and not giving credit to the point of the original artists for the assets quitting after they made a cash grab mobile game to pay wall more.
5. The aspect ratio of the launcher is utter ass. Nobody wants to see big ass pixaleted sprites. The whole point of sprites is to display in a ratio to where they don't look utterly pixaleted.
6. They actively copyright struck CZcams channels that made a debug mod of xenoverse.
7. The over world is ugly af. They get some probs from me for not just going the rpg maker route or a basic Rom hack, but their overwold assets look super bad. Can't stand to look at my vinle pop-headed character.
With the sheer amount of controversy and the devs lacking any and all ability to handle criticism that could be made in a whole vid of its own.
tbh the majority of people would do way worse than them if they heard all the sh1t they had to listen, not that this excuse them of anything but its a viewpoint from the other side
@@absi49 it's not another "viewpoint", it's Whataboutisim and irrelevant. Nobody's going to applaud them for not including a Trojan in the code or not selling illegal material when talking about how trash they are in the fangame and community scene with the scumbag stuff they did and do.
If people would level nitpicking complaints, it would be that for all official mons pre gen 6 they simply ripped the Gen 5 moveset scripts without updating them, that you are forced to carry your starter in your team for the whole story due to event mechanics etc.
By your Whataboutisim logic, them getting nitpicking complaints outside the big ones is a reason to justify their behavior and that's just dumb.
They didn't have to put up with any undeserved criticisms for their shitty nature and objectively faulty coding so stop trying to white knight them.

Why does every game with type shifted/regional/delta mon feel the need to give them a totally cool OC name? And why do they feel the need to have legendaries as part of the story?

A Goombear is, as it has a pre-evolution catchable at Starburst Mountain, is based on a gummybear and a roasted marshmallow, which is why it´s a Fire/Fairy type if I remember correctly.

I beat the electric rapidash by using sunny day to remove the purminate rain. And the rain doesn’t come back after the sunny day goes off, so using sunny day just severely nerfs the rapidash

This game is in my top three right behind legends of the arena and Reborn purely for nostalgia. If I had to pick any fangame that feels most like an original game, I'd pick this one if on only music alone.

I didn't put that much time into this game butI'm now playing it, and after following the development since the early ❤days of Weedle I am SO proud of what they did...❤ even foreigners know how good this game became, you gotta love it!
i remember playing this romhack, got to the gengar fight, lost and then had my savefile wiped after that.... never played it afterwards again... must try it again though

Electaburst is op asf . He has levitate . Fire + electric. Good moves. He wipes off almost every gym .
Lemme tell ya'll, Nasty Plot Ninetales is outright dominates everything out there after water gym, so you have to sit her out on that and then just enjoy the bonfires
If you want true overkill gengar curse and whimsicott prankster with leech seed and paralyze just destroys bosses. I beat dragalisk without needing to attack it once or use items.
