Its great. That's part of the reason I like his podcast more than his show sometimes.
They didn't go and "find" the asian Jim scene. It's one of the biggest jokes in the whole office fandom. Every office fan knows about it

I can't blame him for forgetting the role. An actor plays so many roles, but may never know when their work will to be air, or air at all. Randall said he only worked that scene for an hour, so he probably didn't even know his character's name ("Steve" was mentioned by Pam on a separate shot), let alone what the character maybe titled in post-production.

A busy actor going on the set of a series he probably doesn't follow all that much to play a role that lasted all of 3 minutes in an episode, I think its natural that he forgot.

Asian Jim was one of the best gags in the Office. Right up there with putting wrapping paper over Dwight's desk and rebuilding it out of cardboard.
Randall Park! It's great seeing this guy soar in his career. It's funny, because he went from Asian Jim, to Jimmy (James) Woo in the MCU. But he will always be Eddie's awesome Dad in Fresh off the Boat to me.

I went to Cooper’s Seafood Restaurant in Scranton (yes it does exist). They have a large gift shop that entirely pays homage to The Office. My favorite souvenir is framed copy of the Halpert family with Asian Jim that Pam uses to trick Dwight.

Asian Jim was literally the best prank in the entire series. People talk more about it than entire characters that were on the show for seaons.

“Asian Jim” was one of the absolute high points of the final season. While the show wasn’t the same after Steve Carrell left, it’s moments like this that kept me watching.

It's crazy how humble he is. Jim was basically the main character of the show. Although I guess now that he's writing, directing, starring in, and producing his own horror movie franchise I guess starring in a sitcom can feel like it breezed by even though it was 9 years.

You could sneeze and it would would a highlight for The Office
He is right though, the popularity of the office declined after Michael left, it wasn’t a massive phenomenon anymore by the last season. When the show went on Netflix years later that was when it found a whole new audience and became a cultural touchstone again.

Ya but the problem is when you are starting your own business and trying to get your name out there social media is crucial. Im a photographer and Ive slowly built up a small following. Wouldnt be possible without the connections social media gives me. I was able to sell photos to ppl in Florida while I live in Illinois. Couldnt do that without social media. So its a 2 way street. Just try to stay away from searching your feeds. Just do business.

@@magnetospin Actors before rising to fame do many minor character short scenes for many shows and alot of the time they don't even make it to the final cut. The Office scene probably took an hour in and out so I'm not surprised he forgot about it years after.

The "Asian Jim" segment is actually one of the best known here in Norway because the channel that shows "The Office" here uses it over and over as one of its promos.
