Would love to hear more about the business side of Mathers on the Map - were you able to write off the cost of the van or conversion and your travel expenses and business expenses?
Thanks Jason!!! I’m certainly no CPA so can’t talk much about it, but we write off travel and business expenses, I need to discuss with my accountant on what the best strategy is with the van

Hey Kevin. Been a while since I posted, but I've been checking in periodically. Usually when the title suggested something needed to be fixed :) To paraphrase one of my first posts... "I'm only here for the tech stuff" :) That being said, congrats on the growth of your channel. Well done, Sir! NJ represent!
I hope you don't mind, but I'm going to inappropriately insert my opinion on your channel here. It's "tough love" time, haha. You noted your top four videos. Three of the four were technical videos and the fourth included TNCM, Princess Juliana International Airport, in St. Maarten. Arguably, the most famous airport in the world for awesome low approaches, over the water, to a crazy short runway (Rwy 10. Used to be Rwy 09, but changed due to a change in magnetic North), where 747's land, and it's right next to a bar! :) I've been watching those videos since YT started. All that's got to tell you something.
Also, do you ever think that certain groups of people, I won't mention them by name because the YT AI will censor this post if I do, are tuning-out because you're "needlessly burning fuel and 'creating carbon emissions' for your own pleasure"? I know that is ridiculous and often times hypocritical from the very sources that spout them, but that's the world we live in, unfortunately.
Well, just my two cents. Hope you can glean a modicum of wisdom from it :)

Working on it it all. Channel is starting to grow I am almost at 10k. When did you feel you were ready for sponsorships was it a certain view count or sub count?
I’ve been reaching out since after I got a view thousand, if I thought it was applicable for the video. A lot of it was van build related early on

19 days on the slopes so far teaching and carving...
Conditions have been quite good considering all the rain and warm temps...
52.5K vertical feet skied (my goal is 100K)
Planning to be the first alpine skier in 50 years to ski down one the trails at Split Rock Lodge (closed for ski in the 70's)! A backcountry effort!
