had this one queued up for 2 months now and finally just watched. So interesting and so many of our questions answered. Drawn to your channel from the beginning based on your style of laying out the steps and tools used and presenting the build process in detail. This video followed that same style even with this topic and it was great. We should finally be taking delivery of our 2022 Diesel 4x4 Sprinter in the next couple months and I'll be referring back to many of your original build videos while following along your current build as we plug away at ours. Keep doing what you do so well.

A year ago when we bought our van to travel with our special needs adult son, I started a youtube channel. First video was created with Microsoft video editor and I almost gave up with that experience. Then I started using Filmora and it got easier. My wife loved them but they are just way to much work and we were just weekend warriors. Sadly I quit, but it was taking away from my enjoyment of the trips thinking about now having to create a video. I'm glad that youtube and the other revenue sources are there for people who enjoy the process.
I hear ya, it's a ton of work! I'll admit, I struggle with that too and sometimes get stressed trying to get the perfect shot. But even if you don't want to continue youtube, you can still hit that record button and create awesome memories!
I should have commented on the video when Taylor made this comment but didn't at that time. It is the video when u guys were fling on the plane and the meal had arrived. Kevin looked at Taylor and said something like how is your meal? Taylor took a bite and said I'm FULL. I busted out laughing. 😁😆
Other you tube channels I have watched have stated that it does make a difference if one watched the whole video till the end. Another channel says like, subscribe, write a comment and make a comment on some ones comment. Maybe all of that makes a difference.
One last thing. I think it is the drone you guys have. Absolutely BEATIFUL pictures of the Mountains, Beaches, Water, etc. that u guys have taken. Excellent job. Now I will shut up and go back in my cave.🛖

Thanks, Kevin. Your first build helped ME figure out how to frame & build my shower and especially how to frame out our bunk windows. That one was VERY helpful. And I was able to use some items from your affiliate links as a way to show my appreciation. You are very good at showing and explaining the particular project you are working on. Oh, and your cabinet build was helpful to me, too. As a 20-yr video producer myself, I am kind of particular about the channels I watch because of quality and story, but your's is one I keep coming back to. Take care.

Thanks for sharing all this. I found you guys from your van build series. I was actually doing my second build during covid but you had some really helpful stuff. Excellent job. For comparison. It took 2.5 years to reach the monetization goals. But as a sea kayaker my potential audience is a lot smaller.

Just discovered your channel, and I've been inhaling tons of your van build content. Some really helpful stuff. I'm renovating a former Winnebago Sprinter, which is a bit of an oddball way of doing it. I especially love the nickel gap/shiplap ceiling in your first van. I'm 6'3" and I know I'll lose the ability to stand comfortably but the only time I really do that is when cooking so I'm thinking of recessing the ceiling there. Anyway, thank you to both of you for your enthusiasm and generosity. Oh, and you have a typo in your description: your march link is missing the '//' in the URL. Happy trails!

Thank you for the transparency! We are a full time working family that enjoys our weekender van life and multiple trips per year. We are a newer channel and still working out the "Awkward" phase :D . By no means are we trying to be full time youtubers or van lifers but it really is a lot of fun to do, and always fun to laugh at ourselves as we do it.

We use sony A7iii, mavic pro 2 and edit with Premiere Pro. We just got the insta360 x3 too! We put our affiliate links in the description 🙂

Hey, another CZcams “humble road” educated us and told the viewers that if we don’t watch the video all the way to the end, CZcams changes the algorithms and sends your video to a lower tier. I don’t know if that’s how it works but it’ll be good if you look into and educate us on that fact. I now Watch every video till the end and 👍and comment since that has something to do with the algorithm also.

Did you ever record the noise so that we know what to listen for on our Sprinters?
I thought I had heard about rear end or suspension resonance but can’t recall the article. Did you run searching in Sprinter Source?
I did but it's very hard to hear the intensity of it from the phone unfortunately, I share it briefly in the lemon video but that's it. The driveshaft angles need to be adjusted with shims.
Getting close to our van purchase and have been testing out making videos. Did you start just with the iPhone and iMovie and what was your first upgrade for recording. Thanks
We used a mix of GoPro nikon camera but iPhones so go now that that’s probably fine and yep we started on iMovie then moved to premiere pro and Sony cameras!

You do have competition... there are several travel by van vlogs and the list seems to be growing...
My advice would be to determine your most heavily watched or commented on vlogs and see if you discover a common thread or theme on content...
Personally, we watch because Andrea and I live a similar couple's lifestyle to your own... both started businesses, love travel, adventure and being active...
Plus, being a fellow WaWa aficionado and love of Baja did not hurt! 😂
We are very interested to see how your vlog develops especially with a little one on the way...
I hope you are intending a video on your upcoming Colorado trip... maybe combine your days with what Taylor is doing at the same time that week...

Thanks Lee! I was in IT before leaving corporate, worked a lot on AWS and Salesforce. Agreed there is a lot of competition and it’s growing, we can’t wait for the little one to arrive! Don’t worry though the vlogs will stay similar to how they are and we won’t be filming only the baby! Haha

In 3 years we made over 70k last year alone was a over $30k… CZcams is a TON of effort upfront haha
