I just got into the game and I'm loving it!! It's such a shame that they are not reprinting everything...
I hope the game becomes successful enough so they end up making more repackages.

    I am fan of old;)
But the new packages are so well done. Amazing game.
We just played the saga, and I am trying to finish it as solo now;)

Great video -- very helpful! Have the revised core set on order and I'm excited to try it out. Saw you had another video on the game that I'll check out, too. Any suggestions on where new players should go first after the revised core box if I want to stick to currently produced / available content? Thanks!

I think the most practical way is to just get the repackaged angmar awakens set. The dream chaser repacked set is a little more complicated. Or the saga expansions repackaged. Or another option is to get the 4 starter faction decks and play through the revised set with those as well. Unfortunately buying what is available is the most practical. If availability and price weren't an issue I'd go in release order

FFG confirmed repacked Ered Mithrin on their webside on the 22nd of Feb 🙂 I am also new player, owning only all new repacked stuff also with all 4 started decks. I am slowly getting into this amazing game as a big fan of Tolkien 🙂
Maybe you should also mention that the cards in those starter decks are originally from those most probably not reprinted old saga expansions. That is maybe the reason why they did those starter decks to get some good cards from saga expansions which most probably will not get repacked.

Got into the game. Only played once so far. I think we got super lucky in our game too as pretty much most of the shadow cards were locatiosn or events. I think at most we got hit with one discard attachments at the very start when I had no attachments, and on the last stretch of the adventure got one that exhausted one character from each player, and one that increased threat by 4. Those event cards with Eye of Sauron on them never were drawn for their printed effects 😂
Deck building options are quite limited. Only played one game, but in that game we got through about 14 cards each. 14 out of 50 cards. I feel like 50 cards is a really bad minimum limit, unless the game was designed around putting as much randomness in as possible. I seriously hope there are enough cards to mitigate this bloat. I feel it's a poor design choice to make fillers a prerequisite, even if those fillers are card draws. How much milling happens for a player deck because of the encouter cards? Players don't lose if they have no more cards to draw from a deck, so what really is design point of a 50 card minimum limit? Heck I feel 30 cards would be a great number if I'm never going to get through 30 cards in any one adventure.
So back to limited dcek building options. I'm still waiting on a bunch of stuff. I practically ordered all the starter decks. I only have Rohan and Gondor atm, as well as the core box, the Mirthwood expansion, and the mindly useless Angmar heroes box (mildly because there's nothign really there for Rohan, but it may be useful for Gondor when I get to looking at the cards). Besides the rest of the starter decks, I still am waiting for the Fellowship of the Ring Saga, Two Towers Saga, Dream Chaser heroes, and the Angma quest box.
i'm looking for some wonderful cards for various decks. I prefer mechanical theme over lore theme. Rohan suffers from not enough resources to play cards, and because of deck bloat is unable to consistently get cards needed (and yes I have card draws in the deck but the bloat also makes those cards hard to come across). I am probably not going to be able to build a fun Valor deck yet since I've seen some cards that make the deck work and I don't have those. the one deck I really want I'll be waiting for a while since that was ordered overseas (Silvans) just because I love cards coming in and out of play to do stuff. Would be pretty cool if those elements from Rohan and Silvans could have been combined but these effects are very singular in approach. Even Ñoldor with either Silvans, or Rohan would have been an interesting mechanical mix. haven't seen many synergies for that to work consistently and smoothly.
I'd probably just focus on making a few decks that never get changed (given how many games I play). On play effects deck, on leave effects deck, discard pile effect deck, a swarm deck, and a valor deck. So basically Silvan, Rohan, Ñoldor, Dwarf, and Gondor. Maybe two fun decks based around fellowship for Lord of the Rings trilogy (although I see the final chapter missing 🤔)

      Thanks for watching!
I would suggest of course to play more to get a better understanding of the game and I think you will find it more consistent.
Second if you find you don't see enough of your deck or find your deck inconsistent try watching a playthrough on CZcams or go to ringsdb.com where there are thousands of decks to try that others have made, you can even make an account and sort them by cards you own. I think you will see people playing and building very consistent decks.
Silvans are my favorite archetype, I also have a video about archetypes, if you are curious. Have fun if you decide to stick with the game and good luck

Oh and the saga expansions are missing the scouring of the shire if that is what you are referring to, they never made it unfortunately but the campaign is still very amazing and closer to the books in all other ways

They doing the same sh..t like with Arkham lcg. The same crap instead of full companies based on single base they selling or not selling mini packs, reprints, short or complete sagas. Basically sucking your wallet model.
