A UNITED KINGDOM is the true story of King Seretse Khama of Botswana (David Oyelowo) and Ruth Williams (Rosamund Pike), a white woman from London, which caused an international uproar when they decided to marry in the late 1940’s just as apartheid was being introduced into South Africa. It was a decision that altered the course of African history.

and a black person whos like mainly white girls this was amazing to see something not just about race but much more issues within all relationships
this looks amazing
I LOVED this film.
I just bought this yesterday, and have been wanting to to get it for a long time! I mean it just looks like a beautiful story...And also because with all of the racism and or race baiting going on in the United States today and people saying that different people are racist because they are a certain skin color...well it's just nice to find a movie with 2 people who just happen to be 2 different skin colors but they don't care about that, they don't see it..all they see is just 2 people in love!
It's kind of like the movie Guess Who's Coming to Dinner in 1967 all they saw was 2 people in love...So what that they were 2 different skin colors, but they didn't seem to care at all, because in the movie Guess Who's Coming to Dinner the white girl just wasn't raised like that..and how refreshing!
I just wish more people could be raised like that,to just see people as people..and not what color they are..if we did this, this would be a much nicer world to live in.
Because it's not really a "SKIN" problem..but a heart problem and if you've ever thought about it this way.. just for one moment take the word "SKIN" and remove the "K"..and it's really a "SIN" problem...right?
What you're describing is called "color blindness" which in the U.S., UK, and historically in colonial african nations benefits white people. I believe they deeply loved each other and obviously could still recognize one was Black and one was white. Also she was from the colonizer nation of imperial Britain. Color blindness oversimplifies things and is low key racist.
@@grayrachelle No I'm saying that at all and it's not Low Key Racism! Excuse me but how dare you!
And obviously I don't have a problem but you most certainly do!
So I'd strongly suggest that you work on your problem of having a problem (or you think that they have a problem when they really don't...but to me it just seems and sounds like a bunch of goddly goop from a person who is trying to start a problem where there obviously isn't a problem only in your warped and twisted imagination or maybe it's just you're bored and have nothing better to do is that it?)....oh btw I saw your picture and you don't look like a very happy person, I also notice that yor carrying some kinda sign so are you some kinda activist or something?
Oh well tsk,tsk,tsk... and maybe if you tried to be nicer (like me) and not such a stick in the mud maybe you could get some 👍's up...but so far I haven't seen any yet.
But you see I said nothing wrong here...and I think that's because what I say resonates with alot of people, because I believe that alot of people more than just myself can relate to exactly what I'm saying.
And why you have a problem with it, I have no clue, but if it's an attempt to try and make me feel guilty it's not going to work... because I have nothing to feel guilty or ashamed about.
Oh my. The trailer has me weeping 😭 I'm not sure I would make it through this film without a box of tissues
Un excellent film basé sur une histoire vraie, prouvant que l'amour ne connait pas de race, ni de couleur de peau.
Great movie! I would watch it again and again!
Where did you watch it,i can't find it.
Online, streamed at home. I cannot remember the service.
Me too...!
I love this movie so much
Hell yeah boiiiiiii
Where to watch?
So nice film !
I loved this film
The life the late Sir Seretse Khama
Can i use this trailer in my youtube video and get monetized. someone answer, please.
As a Motswana I really wish that western countries would engage the Actors from the country they are telling the story about and have the language appear here and there. Its wierd when even the actor called Seretse does not properly announce the name. Ke seemo
That would be interesting. I'm sure us viewers would enjoy the culture as well 😊
Where can I get the full movie of this flim
Netflix and Amazon Prime.
This film bring wonderful news when they met each other in UK 💞 and stick together as one. If they in America, it will be a whole different story when it comes to KKK group of thugs and so as their women that makes false accusation against the black men like Emmett Till.
GOD LOVES YOU ALL ❤
❤
I wonder if Seretse Khama was a model for Black Panther.
Am I the only person who want watch this movie for the history and life of Seretse khama and don't fucking care any shit about race, racism, white people, black people or interracial relationships??? I think that people are so obsessed with human race
Zo das weer de andere kant ipv racisme vanwege dat iemand donker is. Lijkt mij een mooie film
And wow'wow indeed it is a Hollywood movie one on one all over again I'm just saying always, always read between the lines it is always in black and white on white paper in black ink just do your own homework/research for yourself and then and only then will you know the real "TRUE STORY" I'm just saying in my opinion "FOOD FOR THOUGHT"
Fredlee Johnson You are beyond pathetic
What?
