Bear Den! In old-growth tree

A black bear den in an old-growth tree in Vancouver Island - another reason to protect old-growth forests!

So cool! We just got back from a trip through the Olympic National Park and Oregon coast and we saw a lot of these same hollowed out trees. Didn't even occur to us that they could've been used as dens. Neat!
