A crazed scientist needs primates to conduct experiments to prove his own theory of evolution, so he organizes an expedition into the jungles of Borneo to capture the animals he needs. - Krátké a kreslené filmy
These movies bring back happy memories of rainy days when my father couldn’t work outside so we popped popcorn and would watch old movies. Happy times many years ago.❤
Contrary to what a LOT of comments are saying, this film is actually ANTI-animal cruelty and especially vivisection on animals. This concept was way ahead of its time in 1934. I couldn't help but chuckle at the sounds the filmmakers chose to give the orangutan (as stated by @lifesboring1. It sounds like me having the dry heaves after a Friday night of heavy partying, lol. Well, a long time ago in a galaxy far away... Thanks, @PizzaFlix for ANOTHER fine film.
I gotta grin thinking about what kinda partying that mighta been. (;-))
The best thing about this movie is I've already seen it and whoever gives us all these great old movies.
The animals were the best characters in this. "Run Joe run! See Joe run!"
Dr. Boris Borodoff. Now that is a role just screaming for Bela Lugosi.
I loved the orangutan's growl--AAAAAAaaaaaaa!
the best thing is the orangutan's sounds
I like these old African movies like Tarzan and ect
This is a very good movie and I really like it.
Well worth watching it.
I am glad I stumbled to it.
That guy just stated " We'll have a hell of a time getting out of this jam ."
This is a 1934 movie.
Thank you!
A good story in a fine clear print 😀
Some ending, they either ran out of film, or the plot fizzled out.
The best part of the movie by a long far was the beautiful young Bornean woman.
This must be the film referred to in the title of the Little Rascals film of this year, "The Kid from Borneo". At last another puzzle piece falls into place.
Cornsville. Thx Pizza.
Alma appears to be right in step with evil Dr Bordoff, I especially thought that way when Alma made this seductress remark 11:23
That pretty much hooked me to making her my favorite character 😍
Then I liked how Alma begins to get clarity of Bordoff's selfish agenda and tendencies when they were on the river 18:11
In the night scene at camp is when Alma (in my opinion) steps up and becomes the the hero 26:30
It always happens, it's three or four guys, - and one woman, off together on some expedition; two guys fight over the woman,
one guy finally gets her -
while the other meets some gruesome end.
I own 3 orangs.
Special permit.
All 3 sound exactly like that.
How does one obtain a special permit to own orangutans? Just curious
@32:48 she speaks!
It was good for that time
Orang grunts get better Fantastic,
Story in Kalimantan :v
I grew up in JKT but never been to Borneo or Kalimantan. Next time.
The first few minutes a total turn off. Freaking humans just can't leave the animals alone.
OH WAY TOO SAD!!!!
Of all the bullshit... LMAO
I liked the movie. Do not particularly care about the animals.
Another animal exploitation/cruelty movie. will not watch this piece of crap.
Thanks for the info, I just look into what this movie is about and I too do not like to watch cruelty to animals. I'll skip this movie too.
This is what happens when you judge a movie without seeing it. It is about people risking their lives to prevent cruelty to animals.
in part, yes. BUT the hero is trying to PREVENT the doctor from experimenting. and if its any consolation, the bad doctor gets what he deserved.
