- The über rich always need somewhere to play with their latest track toys, and now there’s a new high-end ‘driving resort’ recently opened in Japan that aims to best those already in business in Europe and the USA.
It’s called the Magarigawa Club and there’s a race track, obviously, and an on-site fuel station to minimise time away from the circuit, plus fully crewed workshops, a temperature-controlled storage facility for hundreds of cars, and a helipad. So far, so ultra-high-net-worth.
But this billionaire’s playground caters to its clients - and their families - away from the track as well, with traditional Japanese hot spring bathing, a top-tier gym and yoga studio, a kids’ creche complete with miniature Bugatti pedal cars, and a dog park for one’s pup. And this is Japan, so there’s even a (soundproofed) karaoke room too.

I don't know if it's just me, but I just can't get myself to be interested in a track that I won't ever get to race in. I'd rather practice where I'll be able to go IRL with a bit of money & a rental car locally.

a track day vacation this is, they have all the villas and suites and hospitalities there, its heaven.
I hope the rooms all have amazing sound proofing otherwise if you have a big night drinking and want to sleep in with a hang over it might not be so great.
It's like a mini Suzuka/Nurburgring combo. Wonderful!
I wonder what the acoustics are like; both for the driver and for those watching from the main buildings. Echos bouncing off the hills before a car roars into view, or for the driver exiting the hairpin and the exhaust notes suddenly booming against the rising retaining wall. A feast for all senses, I'd bet.
What an amazing track.
This proves Tilke gets way too much stick, when he and his team don’t have to conform to safety standards and the desires of motorsport governors, they can make magic like this.
True in a way. And I really like the Turkey track he made. But F1 needs safety. This is not suited for real racing, but it looks amazing and something just out of gran turismo.
Tilke is ass. makes a bunch of tracks but get 1 or 2 right. bad ratio

It's easy to hate on pretty much the only guy in recent times doing F1 tracks. People also fail to understand he works to assignment. He does the whole package, from track design and safety to infrastructure and the like. Few can compete with what his company offers.
Quite a remarkable circuit. Pretty much tailormade to test Lotus cars and track toys. The blind crests are something else.

This track's twisty, narrow layout and elevation change reminds me of Fujimi Kaido from older Forza games.

😍Track looked like Laguna Seca and Spa had a baby raised by foster parents in a Japanese-set James Bond movie. Just beautiful. I bet the food is amazing too.
Going up and over the top, the down the other side. Reminds me of the Bathurst circuit in Australia!
I had been following the progress as the track was being built, I think it is a great track with cool scenery and good elevation change

It has a lot of Nürburgring vibes from the flowing straights and the undulations and blind (double) corners. Just not as long and so a lot easier to get into your head. I like it!
Constructing this track required an incredible amount of blasting and earthmoving, much more than anything I've ever seen before. Beautiful job.

So let me get this right. Rich people can design and build something as awesome and unique as that, but when it comes to F1, all we get is yet another bland street circuit. What gives F1?

This was the same private circuit club concept that Okayama Circuit had. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking up a membership
I wonder if this place will ever come into profit, even with their member fees, which are pretty high but not enough to make a profit anytime soon. I can't imagine it happening at least not for a few decades if not more. The US model is members must buy houses, and there is a waiting list of about 3 ~ 5 years for your house to be built once commissioned, and every member must purchase land and house within 5 years of their membership. The houses are also made by the circuit, so they make a lot of money from land purchases and then the building fees.
Going up the hill and down the other side reminds me of Bathurst in Australia!

I was lucky to go here for a test for work, and I have to say it is phenomenal. The track itself is fun, the facilities are immaculate, and the overall experience is any car enthusiasts dream. Really incredible place
I really appreciate that the layout seems built for joy in a variety of machines, i.e. it's not only huge straights and sweepers for GP cars or Bugattis, and not only winding esses for motorcycles and Caterhams. I'll take two days in a supercharged ND Miata, please

Assetto Corsa 2 has to have this track!! Absolutely brilliant! This with a classic Singer 911 and that is all I need.
Love this place. Track isn't insanely huge, just big enough for you to scratch that driving itch.

Goodness, the sound track of that car is fantastic! Better than the current model...
On a 1 lap glory run it must feel pretty good, but there are too many slow corners. I think the track will start to feel sluggish after the tyres overheat when you're doing a long stint. More high speed corners would be great especially as newer supercars are starting to utilise Aerodynamic downforce. Its still an amazing achievement to build such a track with limited space.

Hard to believe a European driving enthusiast hasn't been to the Nurburgring . If you have, well you are among more nature there than any other track.
The thing is so clean! I'd feel bad leaving tire marks all over it like at 4:55. I'm fairly certain they'd revoke my membership after a few "incidents". Reminds me of gym teachers getting after kids who weren't wearing non-marking shoes inside.

This reminds me of Salzburgring. Hopefully sections of this track won’t be forever in shade during certain times of the year like salzburgring because the track can go from dry to very slippery quite quickly.
I love it, my dream is to have my own track and garage to retire on. The endless shicane is a bit too tight for anything without open-wheel/hillclimb aero, however it was designed by formula 1 track builders so I see how that happened
The elevation changes are amazing, something most tracks avoid due to costs and to maintain good visibility for stands, neither appear to be a problem in this situation.
It's not too tight. It's being taken too fast.
