- Chaos has many powerful forces and like the Imperium they use the vast humans in the galaxy to do their dirty work. Traitor Imperial Guard Regiments are everywhere and anywhere in warhammer, but unfortunately they dont usually get the lime light. Here are some of the more interesting ones!

I'm surprised you didn't mention the Blood Pact, easily the most infamous of traitor guard regiments.
Oh these guys are interesting. I'll have to cover them soon
Don't wanna be that guy..... Pact is more of Renegade Militia. A home-grown Militia force that's composed of many deserters.
Sry...for being "well actually guy"...
@@evannlorman7926 If I remember well blood pact have a quite hard training and a lot of their soldiers are guards forced to betray the emperor. So, I think it's considered traitor guard because that. However, it's not a representation of them in army lists. So we can only speculate.
@@evannlorman7926 not to out aktchually you, but the blood pact is incredibly well trained at least to a guard standard, and has out-played and out-fought guard units numerous times. They have good logistics as well, and hold several systems. At their height they had upwards of 750,000 ladies and gentlemen fighting under their banner
Don't forget the Vrakian militia, the renegades so good they actually had rules and a campaign book on them (arguably the best one as well)
As Commissar Tetchvar put it: "The Imperium betrayed me first!" - which is pretty much where the Prospero Spireguard are coming from.
Should have included the Sons of Sek, they have some interesting beliefs and are unusually regimented and disciplined for traitor guardsmen, they feature in the Gaunts Ghosts books
The Ironclad are a massive mortal warband in the Emperor's Mercy book that utilized vibro pikes and had an awesome heavy metal aesthetic. They served the Blood Gorogons but were able to tear through imperial worlds on their own well enough.
The Spireguard were actually fleshed out A LOT more in the Black book Horus Heresy: Inferno. We know from that book that they numbered 85,000, and that they had their own Solar Auxilia regiments, namely the Palatine Guard (consisting mostly of Lasrifle and Armoured contingents) and the Spireguard Templars (which consisted of Veletaris skilled in using Khopeshes). They actually performed really well in Inferno. Cooperating with a small platoon of Sekhmet, the Spireguard Templars fought in melee against Astartes and Custodes, with one spireguard captain managing to beat a Space Wolf in close combat using his Charnabal Sabre. Though almost all of them were killed, they dealt a major blow to several Custodes and Grey hunter squads.
With 10th ed it is possible to make traitor guard armies again with the CSM index, 120 cultists, 30 traitor guard (Diciplies if you will), beastmen, mutants etc.
They are the most common antagonists in novels and atleast some what playable again
Just finished a match on crucible mod for dawn of war souls storm using half of that. Waves and waves of cultist with a core of around 40 Renegade guard all lead by a demon prince against elder, went better than expected hahaha
Pfft loyalist sheep are boring, gimme some more traitor guard and tentacles monsters.
The Vrakian Militia FTW
blood pact and sons of sek?? those are some fun lads
the prospero spireguard wasn't an imperial guard regiment because the imperial guard wasn't formed until after the heresy, they were prospero's PDF/thousand son's auxilia
The moebians are an interesting regiment. Hopefully we’ll learn more about their leadership
Welp, I changed jacket from guard to traitor guard in the Eye of terror campaign. And I liked the video a lot. But it was super offensive, but I didn't betrayed the emperor to be loved. As they said before please consider do a second part video with blood pact, the blooded of killteam, the traitoris of Blackstone fortress, Son of Sek, and maybe Vraks, I know they are traitor militia...but they deserve a little bit of spotlight haha.
Working on the Goats of Imperial Guard rn, but I think I'll dedicate a video specifically to traitor milita or at least something similar 👍👍
Thanks for the research
@@dakkadakkajoe looking forward to watch it :)
Actually you're forgetting about the blood pacted, And the sons of Sek.
Hey my Khornate guardsmen is on the thumbnail!!!
Drop your socials I'll pin them
Are you the god emperor during one of his pre-age of strife incarnations. if so I'd never...
Nah I'm way too humble obviously
Good video, only wish there were more
More lore coming soon. Getting in my groove
@@dakkadakkajoe okay, I will trust the plan.
Not a guard army but CULTIST army you can cover.
Brotherhood of the knife.
If you do, then your the second one to "deadlift for the dark gods" who cover their existance.
Shout of if you want some images of my custom 3d designed, printed and painted (by me) as ref images.
I'll look into them for sure. Still getting my lore vids but it would be dope to use some of your minis as ref
@@dakkadakkajoe aye just lemme know when and how you want the images.
