Comment with 1-3 sentences and we'll tell you if you put the commas in the right place! 💡
Hi! I just wanted to ask a question. If the sentence goes like this "I need to do homework, however, I would rather bake brownies.". Where are the commas placed in this sentence? Are they before and after however or are there no commas? Or is there only one comma after the word "however".

Very good! And you should have another comma after "Indiana" as well :)
Last summer I took a trip to St. Louis, Missouri, from South Carolina. On the way there I slept, watched some movies, and used my phone.
That looks great, Emeline! You could also add a comma after "summer" to turn the first two words into an introductory phrase.

13:28 what about "however"
I went to L.A. I was surprised! I saw all kinds of places. I first went to a Chinese food restraunt, then a strip joint, and ended my day at the lake side, burying a dead body in the sand. The cops came in their blue silk uniforms, and clubbed me to the brink of death. "20 year life sentence," the newspaper read. With my face blue, scarred, and rugged, I hung myself before I could drop the soap in the showers. *How was my grammar?!*
On a hot, humid, and dry day, we made a trip to Austin, Texas.
Stephanie, you got it! You use 2 commas to separate items in a sequence (after hot and humid), and the comma after "day" separates the first part of the sentence (prepositional phrase) from the independent clause. And we always need that comma between a city and a state. Big thumbs up!
you are a godsend woman😉😉💖
I traveled to Nashville, Tennessee, to go to farming, kayaking, and fishing.
Thank you so much!
I went to Cairo,el geza, with my smart, caring, friend who was born on august 6th,2003.
Nice! No comma between "caring" and "friend," though. We don't want a comma between the adjective and the noun.
Mfw oxford comma😡😵🤒
