@@vishrutsharmavlogs2005 one week is not a lot of time to prepare, but if you want a perfect score, I would recommend working with one of our individual tutors on the specific questions you are getting wrong. This assumes that you have already begun practicing on real SAT tests to know your individual weaknesses. Hello. I am a teacher, and since quite a while I have been seeing this problem again and again in my students that though they have read the best SAT Writing books twice, and they can answer most of the questions in book exercises correct, they can't score well in the actual test. What should they do to bridge this gap between books and SAT writing? Would you recommend making notes or cheatsheet?
If you have any advice please let me know.

For some bizarre, but funny reason, this came to my mind:
Has anyone ever seriously thought about the character, "semi-colon" since "semi" means half, or 50%? _Seriously._ *Why* is it called a "semi-colon" ["half-colon"] anyway? The bottom 'comma' portion clearly uses more space than the the upper, 'colon' [plus SPACE] part therefore *it's MORE than just 'semi' [half]* ? Shouldn't it be more accurate to call it a "comma plus dot," or, a "dotted comma" like we say, "dotted 'i'?"

How do I replace the "to be"/"be" verbs with strong verbs in the following
    paragraph?
The British ocean liner Titanic was a large ship that thought to be unsinkable.
The Titanic made its first in 1912. It was scheduled to sail from England to New
York The ship was about 1,600 miles from New York when it collided with an iceberg
in the North Atlantic. This collision caused a gash 300 feet long in the ship's hull.
It took two hours and forty minutes for the Titanic to sink. The worst part was that
there were not enough lifeboats for everyone. Tragically, about 1,400 people died
that night. Due to many lives lost, the sinking of the Titanic is considered to be the
deadliest peacetime, maritime disaster in modern history. The Titanic has undoubtedly
become one of the most famous ships in history. Their memory is kept alive by numerous
books, folk songs, movies, exhibits, and memorials.
