In this video, you get to experience traditional cooking in typical Ghanaian way. I share with you a very traditional popular recipe which originates from the northern part of Ghana. We will be cooking outside as this is how a typical Ghanaian home will cook. It was nicer because there was lots of fresh air and you feel like you are right here with me in my Ghana home.
    Hope you enjoy. xx

My mom used to make TZ and she used Shea butter oil for the stew. She also added some of the dango dango and other authentic spices the northerners use. I have never prepared it myself but you have inspired me to do so now.

Love, love this video. Reminds me of saturday afternoons growing up in Sierra Leone. Saturdays were busy, with all the food preparation and lots of pounding of foo-foo (cassava dough)., grinding onions and pepper on flat rocks (called pepperstone). We call jute leaves crain crain. I have just discovered them here in the UK. Egyptians consume it a lot. They call it Molokhia - and import it so, finally, I get it frozen and already diced. Thanks Jasmine for making truly authentic and mood capturing content. God bless you, may your diligence continue to bring you great success.
