My first season with my battery trimmer and I'm still trying to find that sweet spot, I did exactly what you said burned right through the battery first yard! I'm just beginning to get several yards out of the trimmer. I only use the blower for townhomes or my weekly properties. As far as hedge trimmers and small saw I don't ever see my self going back to gas✔💪

Awesome video. Great advice from all sides. I’m not a pro, but I love taking care of my lawn. Your videos gave me the confidence last fall to start making the switch, and I’ll never go back to gas. I love my battery powered equipment. I’m not mechanical enough to properly take care of my gas equipment, and now all I have to do is plug in a charger and charge my batteries. The final piece of the puzzle for me was just delivered, the attachment capable Toro 60V. I can’t wait to put it together and try it. I already have the mower, blower, and hedge trimmer and love them all. No more mixing gas, choking, and pulling the cords, which has been getting tough with my arthritis. This equipment will keep me in the game!
Johnny, thank you for all your help, I try not to ever miss a video! Cheers

I got my trimmer and blower in Nov 2021 and my mower this past March I'm glad I made the switch. Honestly over the months of using them the performance is just as good or even better than my gas powered equipment. Like you said with the batteries I need to listen to the sound the equipment would make to let me know when they were dying out. I will be upgrading my trimmer and blower to 80v soon. Thank you again for recommending the battery powered tools!

Nice. I’m in the process of going to batt for my edgers / trimmers next season the echo 56v line has been what I’m most impressed with. One tip ya could use for batt savings is running 0.080 line instead of 0.095. Husqvarna titanium force is best 0.080 line I’ve ever used especially for chain link fences.

Your observations mimic mine. As a homeowner I made the switch gradually to electric because I just got tired of the separate fuels and maintenance eating up my limited time on the one day of the week I have to do yard maintenance. I am currently using the Kobalt branded tools in the 40volt range. All my batteries swap with each other. All my chargers are the same so I have some flexibility if something happens. My hearing has improved. My aging legs and back appreciate lighter equipment. I agree with you needing to learn speed control with the trimmer. also agree that the technology for the blowers are lagging. I need to budget some new batteries since I'm three seasons in on the original ones.

my 13-year-old 2-cycle trimmer has been trusty all these past summers, but has given me nothing but grief this summer, it's back at the shop the 3rd time already this summer. It's been having me consider a battery trimmer, but next question has me wondering which brand ("ecosystem") to choose (if I want to get more small battery lawn tools) I'm not a pro but have a 9000 ft² corner lot (a lot to trim & edge)

I do not do a lot a shrub trimming. My issue in the past was gas powered shrub trimmers sat up and ended up never starting when I needed them. I bought a dewalt 20 volt hedge trimmer because I already have dewalt batteries with my drills and grinder and such.
It does what I need it to. I can use it on a job where I make $350-400 in 2-3 hours doing shrubs and it goes through 2-3 6 amp hour batteries .
I’ve had it 2 years and am very satisfied. I think if it ever breaks on me, I will either buy the husqvarna or stihl battery set next.
I think if you are established and have the revenue coming in, keeping gas equipment and using each piece a day every week or 2 to keep it going and switching to mainly battery powered equipment could have its plus side.
As long as it’s routine maintenance, the stuff I’ve seen and demoed seems to work fine. But if all you’re doing is clean ups you’re going to burn through batteries. Just like Johnny said.
This dude will not steer you wrong.
I got a lot of respect for him. And I have learned a lot over the years watching these videos.
    Keep it going !

Actually what you should do is get rid of that big pickup truck. It eats fuel it needs more expensive service, even tyres are more expensive. If you would come to Europe especially Germany you would see a house trailer and small car like golf everywhere and it hauls easy no problem a house on wheels. It would brake your brains as tv commercial in usa maid you think what you need that big pick up truck with 4x4 with all those shananingans. What actually happening you dont even need third of it! In Europe they do not buy pickup its pointless, you buy commercial vechile with slide doors and same trailer as you have. And that commercial vechile has like 1,6 or even smaller engine no such thing like v6 or v8 and it does job exactly as your picpup just you spend less money on car, you servise it cheap, parts are cheap, fuel economy is one of the best.
