This has been coming since the start of the season. Liverpool were bailed out against Newcastle and Everton by VAR decisions that could have gone the other way.
Their squad needs freshening up and maybe it should have been done preseason but they will resolve it in time.

Lol bailed out by things such as offsides. Much if liverpools system remains in place and the squad is still there. Its injuries, especially central midfield and cb position. That's why we are cut through so easily when we still dominate possession. They will improve quite quickly when it clicks. Probably will be too late for a title challenge but in CL and cups will still be challenging this season

Chelsea played more minutes ? Ok well they also spend 250M this summer for new bodies. LIV has spent about 10M net spend. Chelsea has more minutes sure, but their results didn’t come at the end of the season where they fell short. Hence why LIV was so up to play Man City in a “cup final”. For the players it was probably a way of redemption for the UCL. Once they got to PL the thoughts of starting all over again for 90+ points is just draining

Trent is clearly not even bothered with trying to track back, but he is decent 1v1 and has exceptional passing range and vision, all the qualities for a midfielder.

@@dimphoshaun8940 he's saying the successful team Klopp built up from scratch when he joined and peaked around 2017-20 hasn't really changed since then - this is their 3rd season practically unchanged since they won the league, aside from a few personnel and you could even argue it's mostly the same 1st XI since 2017 (apart from players who have chosen to leave the club such as Gini / Mane etc).
They've gone deep into the UCL almost every season, managed to reach all cup competition finals last season - add fatigue / burnout to an already injury prone squad and you get this.
It's no surprise to me that they're dropping off.

Problem I see with Liverpool is the Midfield, there's no creativity in there and at present they also aren't doing a defensive job either, thus exposing the defense. We are also playing far to slow with no intensity.
Last night Gomez had a mare and TAA was abysmal, he didn't chase back and once the ball went past him he stopped running.
Quite a few players are off form thou Van Dijk, TAA, Gomez, Fabinho, Salah, Milner, Robertson (isn't getting assists)
Liverpool will get their act together but the league will be out of reach by then and cup runs will be the only thing left.
